arashi is always the brightest thing in the room–even in the faint lighting–and her smile when she sees you does nothing to diminish that glow. in fact, it just seems to make it brighter. but that may just be the 'cryn effect', as it has been labelled by those unfortunate enough to be in the immediate vicinity when arashi is making her usual set goo-goo eyes at you.

in her hands is a small giftbox: it's wrapped with jewel-patterned paper, the same colour as her eyes. she blushes lightly as she holds it out to you. you take it from her, cradling it close to your chest.

written in loopy script, the card reads:

cryn-chan! happy birthday <3 i think i'm the luckiest girl in the world, to have you as a partner, and i hope this gift can show that. i know it isn't a lot, but i saw it and i thought of you... i love you so much. love, arashi~ <3

opening the box, you're greeted with the sight of a charm bracelet.

it's lovely–made of interlocking silver chains with a small collection of charms scattered around it. you pick out a citrine musical note, a pearl swan and a gorgeous set of amber gears. arashi must read the unspoken question in your eyes because she laughs sheepishly.

"yes, well, i'll admit: i had a little help picking out the charms. you're quite popular, you know~"

her laughs her airy laugh and you smile at her, impossibly fond.

"anyways! that's not all... i know that you have all these charms, but i wanted to do something special for you... so, i made this one myself."

she holds out a glittering silver butterfly, its wings inlaid with amethyst jewels. it matches her eyes, you think, a little surprised. "oh... it's beautiful."

arashi gives you a smile, and attaches it to your bracelet.

"there! now i'll always be with you, even when i'm not~"

you giggle, brushing your lips against her hands in a chaste kiss. "well, i love it. it's amazing. thank you so much, arashi." arashi titters.

"of course! anything for you, cryn-chan."
