if sonic and the cast was in high-school headcannons...

Sonic would be the leader of.... the environmental club!!!! I know it seems super dumb and it would actually seem like something Amy or Cream would do but hear me out... There has always been an environmental tone throughout the Sonic franchise, ever spanning back from Sonic 1. I thought it'd be neat that the main character would be in a club that fits the entire theme of his franchise. Also, everyone would so surprised that Sonic is starting a environmental club that they'd be like... "... the SONIC? is owning a eco club??? thats nuts" and it'd be super funny because Sonic would just tell them to plant trees or piss off the corporates around them and cheekily rebelling against them. Sonic would just nap 95% of time he's leading the club tho lolol.

Shadow would be dragged into the environmental club, why? Probably because of a stupid bet and he lost it to Sonic and ever since he's stuck in this stupid place, he's even co-leader!! (Mostly because Sonic wanted to piss Shadow off even more) Shadow would be regretting his decisions 24/7 and literally would want to his shoot himself. although eventually Shadow does gain a respect for Sonic, although how dubious the respect is... quite uncertain.

The only reason why I want Tails to be a bit aged-up is so that Sonic and Tails could be at the same time in high-school so Tails a freshmen and Sonic a senior, and in this au... I imagine that no one really knows what Eggmen does since in this universe Eggman just owns a corporate company and does evil stuff BEHIND the scenes because that's what rich people do and so Tails would admire Eggman meanwhile Sonic has met Eggman a couple of times and Sonic absolutely despises Eggman, I'd imagine that it would only take to the end where Tails wants to punch Eggman to the face

Amy and Cheese own a baking club together!! Where they bake and talk about their feelings together. Sonic sometimes gets fruits and vegetables and gives it to Amy, it'd be the only reason why Sonic starts to make a school garden, it'd be so he can meet up with Amy and give her stuff for her to bake and give him food afterwards....

Knuckles, Rouge, Blaze and Sticks will be in the jewel hunting club!!! I would also headcannon that Tikal is the principal and so gives bias to Knuckles and so they hold an annual trip for the ENTIRE school for this one location to just find... rocks.

I would also imagine Sally, Scourge, Surge, Whisper, Tangle etc being here like the idw and Archie comic characters being here I haven't solved everything out for them quite yet but I'd imagine Scourge and Surge are apart of this "secret club". (They're planning to kill Sonic... yes they're highschoolers but they're still nuts!!!)

Tails ends up joining this secret club (he doesn't know the true extent or reason of why this club exists) due to it being closest to his likes and interests because they task him with fixing an robot!!!!! (This robot later turns out to be Metal Sonic .....)

Sally is Sonic’s ex girlfriend in this but they've become good friends, actually!!!!

Silver is a freshman and becomes besties with Tails, lol there's no exceptions they're becoming good friends ok

Cosmo will be in this and as Tails love interest!!! I wonder if she should die by the end of this.... hmm.... so many decisions

My headcanons for Omega's dynamics in Sonic's overall friend group:

Sonic: acquaintances at best. Crippling case of "friend of a friend" syndrome. Mutual awkwardness from, well. . . Sonic insists it's not a problem but Omega is observant enough to spot his unease.

Tails: good friends!! The only meatbag that Omega trusts to repair his body or programming, basically. Their relationship started off more awkward and clinical but now Omega waltzes into Tails' workshop like "LET ME TELL YOU WHAT SHADOW TRIED TO PULL THIS WEEK" and they have a good chat while doing repairs.

Amy: don't really know each other amazingly well? They live in the same city, so they wave to each other (correction: she waves to him and then he waves back) and chat a little if they have the time, but don't really seek each other's company outside of that. He respects her hammer and encourages her to do more with it.

Knuckles: they don't actually know each other on a deep level but every time they see each other it's like two brothers reuniting. Anybody say ARM WRESTLE TIME??? Also LOTS of sparring. They love to platonically throw hands. Basically this:

Shadow: BESTIE. Do I even need to say it. They have each other's backs. They can read the other like a book. They've had entire conversations consisting only of grunts and have been able to communicate complex ideas. Robotnik Trauma Buddies (TM). Omega is one of the few people that can get Shadow to fuck around and relax for once and Shadow's one of the few that Omega trusts with his more vulnerable thoughts.

Rouge: BESTIE. Do I even need to say it?? He's one of the damn few people in the universe that she lets up her confident suave demeanor around and she's one of the few people who could ever persuade him to not destroy something he's set his mind on. They keep each other in check in a way that no one else really can. They like to riff on each other- it looks like nagging to the outside observer, but really Rouge is just acting as the straight man to Omega's antics.

Silver: an instant click. They haven't met very often but when they do it's like fire and gasoline. LOTS of explosions. They are the destruction squad and they relish the title. Silver thinks Omega is the funniest motherfucker. Omega sees that Silver can crush things with his mind and thinks that's the COOLEST thing. You get the picture.

Blaze: mutual respect, and in Omega's case, admiration. She's someone he wants to get to know better, but they have limited interactions, and she's not quite as open to the idea of being friends as he is.

Well well well is time to talk about one of my favorite underrated friendships, i already mentioned that Rouge and Sonic should be menaces together and join forces to mess with Knuckles 😂😂😂👌 but there's another character who in my opinion is the best suited to be Rouge actual best friend and that is...

AMY ROSE 🌹💓

And I call this friendship the ROUGEROSE! or ROSEROUGE, whatever you like more

Even though we didn't see much of these 2 in videogames interacting in my opinion there's a lot of potential in their relationship, honestly they might look like polar opposites and still have a lot in common and compatible personalities... (As long as they don't portray them as their worst personalities showed in some games and comics that are totally wrong and don't represent their true selves 😤😤😤, you know: the whiny loud pushy stalker and cruel mean selfish bitch excuse you writers?, Scroll down to see my other analysis and you'll see examples of that 🤮)

As i see them they're are both hot tempered, strong but femenine, they have obvious crushes, they like fashion, they have fun banter and also they are two of the first female characters introduced in the sonic universe first being Amy and followed by Rouge.

I know that maybe this is an unpopular opinion since usually Amy is seen more often with Cream and Blaze and they look totally as besties but... You see... Rouge is often only seen with Shadow and Omega... For missions 😔 and I wondered since Rouge is the only friendly one of the team Dark that actually is seem attending parties and stuff with who she would spend free fun time as girl time quality and the only one who crosses my mind is Amy also talking about Amy i know Cream might look like her best friend (sonic and tails style) but given she is even younger than Tails, she actually has a mom and lives with that mom and probably that mom wouldn't want her little girl to be in unnecessary danger and also spend more time with her... And then Blaze is a kick ass girl but she is a princess from other dimension with a lot of responsibilities... I don't know, to me it makes more sense that Rouge and Amy would spend more girl time together than with the other 2 🤷

Things i saw in the last games that increase this mindset: in Sonic forces the only female characters we see are Rouge and Amy and in that last racing game i heard voice clips of Amy calling rouge Girlfriend and saying : "where's the Rouge i know and I love" OMG Rouge! How many people told you that they love you! Amy is first 🥺🤭

Another thing they are the principal girls that are shipped with Shadow, this not a coincidence 😂😂 there's a reason Shadow is rival of both knuckles and Sonic I'm just saying 🙂

Also they kind of remind me of some Anime girl friendships, the one i recall right now is Lucy and Cana from fairy tail don't you think?

And I want to praise the evolution they had in the comics, in other posts i showed examples of they antagonizing each other but finally they saw their wrong ways and compensate us with this kind of interaction at their best if their personalities

Rouge all physical friendly with Amy hooking arms and fighting alongside her and Rouge appreciating her and telling shadow she had to rely in other hedgehog this time 👌👌👌

The two queens calming down their brothers and preventing them to fight their respective boyfriend 😏😏😏😏😏😏 👌👌👌👌 interpret that as you wish fellas 🤭🤭🤭

And this!!👆👆👆 THEY WORK GREAT TOGETHER, fighting together i love it as much as I love when Rouge teams up with Knuckles!😭👌

But like... Seriously they deserve to have quality girlfriend time together, i love them both so much 🥰🥰🥰, if they both appear in the third movie I'm sure they will want to hang out as the only furry alien residents in earth 😁😁

And a curious information i found... Turns out that at the beginning of Sonic Heroes development Rouge was going to be originally part of the team Rose 😱😱😱 but well, it turned out just fine anyway.

Come on SEGA show us how much you love us and give us more girlfriend time RougeRose!

My version of the game had [character] be the murderer, but I don't know if that's the same for everyone!

I loved how it was about the character relationships with each other:

Espio (who I never saw a lot of) just being cool but in a more down to earth way than Shadow

Who was doing his best to buy tickets to Hot Honey (Honey the Cat reference???) concert for Amy

Rouge and Blaze just being besties

Vector and Knuckles being competitive

Shadow signing his name on Super Monkey Ball as ULTMATE lol

But wait there’s some headcanons that I might add more to later!

Shadow: HE IS NOT AN EDGY BOY THAT SEGA MAKES HIM TO BE. He got his growth in Sonic Adventure 2(SA2) and not from Shadow the Hedgehog. (I can go on a rant on how that game doesn’t work with Shadow’s character but not now) Anyway he cares about Amy since she was kinda the reason he turned good in the end of SA2 so now they’re besties and so is him and Cream. He doesn’t understand why Cream thinks hes cool but at least she’s nice so.

He’ll never really say it out loud but he really cares for Rouge and Omega because they were there for him AND THEIR FRIENDSHIP IS ADORABLE. Also he’s very much smitten for a blue hedgehog. He doesn’t think he has a chance with Sonic at all but Rouge tells him otherwise but he ignores her.

Sonic: He is best big brother and all the little kids love him because he is the nicest boi. Him and Amy are best friends in cannon so they are in this too. Him and Amy helped raising Tails so him and Amy are siblings and they share one brain cell. Also Knuckles is his brother too because they are close change my mind. He likes Shadow but he doesn’t know if Shadow is ready for a relationship because after everything he’s been through so he’s happy just being there for him. Sonic is also a trans boy :)

Amy: Again Sega the way you treat my girl Amy is a crime because she is just as great as Sonic. Amy looks up to Sonic because he’s a great guy. She besties with Silver and Shadow because she was part of the reason they changed when they were introduced. If Sonic is a big brother than Amy is the big sister because she loves Tails and Cream and will fight for her siblings. She does her tarot cards like in the old games and bakes in her free time and let’s her buds taste them. She thinks Blaze is such a pretty girl but as a friend (she’s lying) and teaches her how to bake but the pretty cat sucks (thank god she’s pretty.) She like Sonic is trans but she’s a trans girl

Knuckles: First of all, hes not dumb like Sega makes him be (which is dumb cuz he wasn’t like that in the beginning he was just gullible) and he’s calm with a bad temper which is mostly caused by Rouge and oblivious to her crush on him. Him and Tikal are siblings and no you cant change my mind either.

Rouge: Like Shadow she has a soft spot for children and Cream is her fav. She has a big fat crush on Knuckles which she tries not to think about but Shadow and Omega keep bringing it up. She’s still selfish but she does care for the others just not as much as she does for Shadow, Omega, Cream, and Knuckles. The gold arm band she has on her arm is something she stole from Knuckles because she wanted to piss him off but hasn’t gave it back which Shadow brings up whenever she annoys him.

Tails: Ultimate little brother and still a huge smart boi. Him and Cream kinda fight for their spot as the little sibling of the group and hate how similar they are. For example, have a older sibling they look up to, (Amy is Cream’s and Sonic is Tail’s) Cream has Chesse and I made omochao be made by Tails because why not. So they both have Chaos and they say the other copied the other. Charmy just goes on his phone while Cream and Tails argue about the other.

Tails and Ray are best friends and Tails thinks Ray is just the nicest guy but doesn’t understand this strange feeling he gets when he’s around.(T-T) He copys Sonic alot like picking red for his outfits like Sonic’s shorts and shoes because he thinks he super cool.

omg hi. what do you think of knuckles shadow and silver all being besties like i always think of how similar they are in so many ways and how they could be friends and have a great dynamic that'd probably influence all their characters if sega let them interact like they're all pretty awkward around others as a result of being alone most their lives and so don't exactly get being around others or how to and they've all been greatly impacted for the better by sonic but they're still so different from him and they have huge responsibilities they put on their shoulders (silver with saving the future, shadow with keeping the world safe, knuckles as the master emerald's guardian and last echidna) and have a connection, in a way, to some sort of once-angry otherworldly threat (silver with solaris, knuckles with chaos, shadow with the finalhazard and black doom) as WELL as sorts of 'ghosts' (knuckles with tikal and the echidna, shadow with maria and everyone on the ark, silver, assumedly, with maybe blaze in 06 and the timelines he's experienced) and they'd all probably get each other but all are still kinda silly still you know like they still have fun with certain things and i know this all sounds sorta serious but also like i bet they watch forks spark in a microwave for fun and shadow homebrews nintendo ds's and the other two are like whoaaaah wtf. thags what i think. this is really messy im also awake at bad hours playing team sonic racing

HELP YOURE RIGHT. ALSO I WAS THINKING ABOUT PLAYING TSR TOO HELP. I'd imagine that the first time theyd actually be put in a group together I'm like. imagining a room where all of them are just kinda sitting in a room awkwardly like stuffed animals theyre just hanging and dont know what to say or talk about since all them are very much too absorbed in their responsibilities a lot. But its okay they get to it. But like, in a more serious context I think they all could have SUUUUCH good interesting conversations with each other-- and we get like. snippets of that in 06 and the comics. I would love to rant about the comic one specifically but I dont remember enough about it to do it justice but shadow kinda has a moment where hes getting upset about knuckles being too trusting of someone and putting them in danger when rouge kinda pulls shadow aside and is like hey. you really can't judge him because you also felt that way too once. youve done that. and shadows like "OH." And I think actually shadow knuckles and silver could all have a lot to talk about when it comes to being tricked by others. It's just a matter of them finding the right time and right trust and right situation to open up about that....

A short analyzation on Amy Rose.

I want to start by saying that I really appreciate the support and I am honored that you asked my intake on Amy’s character. So, I am not a professional writer or anything for that matter however I will give you my intake on Amy Rose as a fan and how I perceive her as a character. So, let’s start!

The positive and negatives of Amy Rose

To write a good character we need someone who people can relate to. This character needs to be three dimensional, meaning that they act like a person. Someone who struggles, thinks, learns and develops. This character has good and bad. Good written characters are not all good nor all bad so let’s think about that while we talk about Amy Rose.

Canonically speaking Amy Rose has a lot of good traits:

-Loves unconditionally

-Loyal

-Kind

-Cares for others

-Determined

And negative as well:

-Has an explosive personality, gets angry easily

-Has no patience

- She takes other’s needs into consideration but hers. (This may be seen as a good quality but on the long run it actually isn’t. This is more of a personal opinion but I think it is important to consider our own happiness as well.)

-Obsessive (Although we can see she has grown out of this recently

-Stubborn

You can play around with these but we can talk about that later.

Amy’s uniqueness

Alright so now that we know her good and bad, let’s talk about her character. The unique thing about Amy Rose is that out of the Sonic characters she has been the only one who has shown development. (Besides Shadow in 06, but that didn’t happen so all his character development went to the trash lol)

In conclusion, Amy stopped being that obsessive, she developed. Our pink hedgehog is now independent and pretty much do whatever she pleases. She is not as attached to Sonic and although she still loves him, she now thinks for her own and may even question his decisions from time to time. I believe she does her own thing now and wants to give him Sonic his space as well. For me Amy can be described as ‘Cute & Dangerous’

Amy’s interaction with other characters.

Alright, so Amy Rose is a pretty solid character and it’s a cinnamon roll. So, her bad qualities are not going to show up as often. For these negative (and good) qualities to show, it all depends on circumstances and character interaction. Just take a few minutes and think about it …

How will Amy interact with Rouge? Would she be more open and let get girly side show up? Will they even be friends? Does Amy see Rouge as an older sister?

How will Amy interact with Shadow? Would they be friends? Or would their personalities just crash? Does Shadow’s character take out the worst on Amy?

How does Amy interact with Sonic? With Knuckles? Cream? Tails?

This also depends in what kind of story and circumstances you will place Amy in. Does she live in our world and is struggling to get by the days? Does that make her stop caring about herself and only focus on work? Does she still love Sonic but he doesn’t love her back so that makes her depressed? Will she be stubborn enough to get him to love her? Will she love him regardless and put her happiness aside? Or is she afraid that she won’t be able to find happiness or love? Maybe she has other things in mind besides love? Maybe she wants to do her own adventures? Or she just wants to open up a café and live a peaceful life forever?

As you can see, you can explore a lot of situations with her character. So, here are some (in my opinion) relationships that Amy would have with other characters. (Based on canon and personal opinion)

Amy/Sonic: Love interest of course, but its platonic romance. Care deeply for each other. Friends for life. Sonic is just not that interest in love right now but that doesn’t mean he can’t love others or Amy.

Amy/Knuckles: Older brother and sister. Both are matured when needed and protect each other.

Amy/Silver: Crazy all the time together, plan the stupidest shit and get away with everything. Besties.

Amy/Shadow: (I can honestly write an entire essay as to why this two have such good POTENTIAL platonic or romantic but anyways) They are ok with each other’s presence. Won’t willingly talk to each other unless they are forced to. Once they do though, I can see them hanging out from time to time. They are friends and nobody expects that from them.

Amy/Rouge: Rouge is the big sister and Amy the little one. Amy goes to her for advice and talk about things she can’t talk about with Vanilla or Cream.

Amy/Cream: Amy is the oldest sister and she takes care of Cream and advises her. Amy would do anything for her.

Amy/Blaze: I think she will be the closest to her. Amy has helped Blaze open up and they are really good friends.

Alright now, some tips:

1. Feel free to write your character according to your interpretation.

There is no good or bad way to write a character. At the end of the day everything comes down to character interpretation. I personally see Amy as a young adorable, fashionable girl who is not afraid to express how she feels. She can be sweet and dangerous and she won’t let anyone step on her unless is totally necessary. However, you may see her or interpret her differently and that’s completely fine!

2. Let your character feel, suffer and develop.

I cannot stress this enough, everyone is a sucker for a character development. Not everything has to be flowers and sunshine. Let your characters have flaws, let her to be annoying or a cry baby, what matters here is that you DEVELOP them throughout the story.

3. Plan ahead and don’t

First, write down the kind of story you want to write. Romance? Adventure? Mystery? Then start writing your characters. After you are done writing your characters, analyze them. However, I was once told that your characters are kinda like your kids. You made them but you don’t ever truthfully end up knowing them. Just like people, we have our embarrassing, sad, happy moments. We even have our ‘Out of Character’ moments. Just explore your characters, let them be free as they can.

Amy Rose is a very versatile character. If you think about it, Amy can literally be in any story and she still be such a good character to write about. She is funny, entertaining, stubborn and obsessive. She can be so many things! At the end of the day, it all really depends on how you develop her.

I hope this helps somehow? Like I said before I am no expert but this are some tips and character analyzation that has helped me when I write stories. I am honestly SUPER excited to see what kind of stories you come up with and if you ever need help with something else let me know! If you do end up writing a fanfiction, please do tag me! Sonic and Amy were both off doing their own things. Amy was having a Girls’ Night with her besties, and Sonic was with the guys, until Shadow came over with some bottles.

- With Amy -

“Amy...I’m surprised yer still chasin’ Sanic after all those years...” Rouge hiccuped. Amy looked offended.

“Why you little...I haven’t chased Sonic since I was twelve! I don’t liiiiiiike him anymore!” Her words slurred because of the fact that she had eight shots. Rouge and Blaze started giggling, but it sounded more like they were choking.

“Why don’t we call ‘im over?..” Blaze asked, waving her phone in the air. Amy pouted.

“Go ahead! I-I won’t stahp you!” She stuttered. Truth was, she still loved Sonic. Her crush on him only seemed to increase by day.

“Move out of the way, Virgin Pussy-cat. Give me that fahking phone.” Rouge snatched the phone out of Blaze’s hands and dialed Sonic’s number.

“Hello?” Sonic’s voice could be heard cracking a little, as he was listening to a speech delivered by Knuckles about how love is love. (Knuckles is his best when he’s drunk, he’s the smartest at those times)

“Hey, Big Blue! Bring your asses up here!” Rouge yelled.

“I’m talkin’ to your girlfriend!” Sonic shouted over at Knuckles, who was pissed that his speech. Rouge started giggling at being called the Echidna’s girlfriend.

“HEY! Why you laughin’?” Amy asked her best friend.

“Sonic called me Knuckie’s girlfriend!” She squealed. Blaze and Amy joined in. Within a few minutes, the doorbell rang. Amy answered it, and as soon as she opened the door, Sonic fell on top of her.

“Heyyyy, Amesss.” Sonic slurred, not bothering to get off of Amy. She didn’t care, probably because of the influence of alcohol, or the fact that she had always dreamed that this would happen.

“Hey, Sonikku...” She giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“How long are ya’ll gonna stay like that’?” Shadow asked, pissed off as usual.

“Yer just jealous ‘cause you don’t have a gal to love~!” Sonic exclaimed. (They aren’t dating) He leaned into Amy and took in her scent. “You smell like roses ‘n honey..”

“Nuuuuu...I don’t smell like that, I use scentless shampoo!” She yelled out. Sonic only chuckled and grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up.

“Whaddya say, Ames? Shall we take dis to the bedroom?” Sonic questioned the flustered pink hedgie, before a sober Lyra busted through the door.

“AHHHHH! IT’S THE FUCKING FBI! STICKS WAS RIGHT!! SHE KNEW THAT SPIES WOULD BE AFTER MY TAIL WHEN I STOLE THOSE MCDONALD’S FRIES-”

“Shut up Knuckles! I’m not a spy! Everyone go home before you end up Gang Banging!” She yelled.

“Hmph. I wouldn’t mind that...” Shadow stated, eyeing Knuckles and Rouge getting a bit too intimate for Silver and Blaze’s liking. Lyra’s face looked horrified.

“Oh, fuck no.” Lyra pounced on top of Shadow and chaos controlled him back to his house. She saw that Knuckles was starting to take off Rouge’s clothes. She threw Shadow’s chaos emerald at them. She turned to Blaze and Silver. “You guys fine getting home on your own?” She asked the two. They seemed a little tipsy, but nothing serious. Blaze looked somewhat sober at this point. They walked out the door, thankful that Lyra didn’t use aggression on them.

“Wait no, I’d be in big trouble, wouldn’t I...OH WELP.” She walked over to where the two lovehogs were making out, and dragged Sonic up to the bedroom, while Amy was in his arms. “I mean, I really don’t want you to, but you guys should really stop. You aren’t even dating, let alone confess!”
