people always portray gwen as the mum friend or the most kind and considerate out of everyone, and yet her and merlin pretty much built a friendship of her accidentally insulting him (and progressed onto gossiping and insulting others)

not to mention gwen does so many random crimes in early seasons?? break into the dungeons, steal her father’s favourite sword, nick a statue from the castle for merlin, go up to insult arthur in critical moments to do what is right? why wouldn’t she

so i believe more of her interactions with merlin would go like this:

gwen: morgana said she was tired of uther bitching at her at celebratory dinners so im going to drug him!!

merlin: what

gwen: i know morgana would appreciate it ☺️

merlin: youre going to drug the king of camelot.

gwen: it’s morganas birthday soon, she’d love it!! anyway, what are you up to?

merlin: fighting some assassin or something but that doesn’t seem very important right now
