the anon abt the ettiquite stuff again and yeah! the smp is definitely very character and lore-orientated, but theres streamers that dont often do lore all the time, too. also the character negativity thing in this fanbase is definitely awful for particular characters lmao, id recommend blocking some. if youre more interested in the story, then an animator named sad-ist makes very good dsmp animations that id recommend watching after you watch lore recap videos and stuff, alongside late august and channelwithoutaname. i will say abt the story though: do not trust any recap videos with a very particular arc called the "exile arc". the lore gets incredibly dark and id recommend either watching the arc yourself or reading up on it, because lore recap vids sugarcoat it like mad. if you dont wanna get into lore, though, a few streamers id recommend are foolish (sorta getting more involved now but he builds mostly) who goes like around 11am/12pm est, ponk (rare lore) who goes live around 9am/10am est, ranboo (lore-heavy, but he has tons of chill streams too!) who goes live any time around 6pm est to 10pm est, sam (mostly builds!) who goes like around 2pm(?) est, phil (bullies ppl who cry abt lore /hj /pos) whos live about 1pm(?) est on mondays, wednesdays and fridays, and though he Never Streams, technos vods are just a vibe always. ofc these are just personal faves but these are some of the chiller ones imo. tubbos alt is good too but he doest stream dsmp on there

Ponk honestly sounds awesome from what I'm hearing. Especially because eastern time zone and less lore heavy stuff in the morning.

I'll block the character negativity then. I usually don't mind it but with what I've experienced so far. This fandom seems a bit more high-strung(? Lack if better words) than others im in. No offense to you or anyone else tho. I believe I have seen some of sad-ist stuff! They're really good!!!

Yeah I've heard a lot about the exile arc from mutuals and people I follow that are now in the dsmp fandom. It sounds really dark and horriable. And like. I really love angst and darkness in stories andjdjjaj, I play dnd so...its a common theme for me.

A lot of the regressors i talk to have taught me about ranboo! So know he's good to watch, I watched him play the octodad game once! Phil is the guy who created minecraft i think? Alongside the co creator hatsune miku? I know he's pretty nice!

I usally watch vods a lot more than streams so techno sounds like a really good fit too! I'll give them a look!
