Man, oh man... I don't know if it's just me or if it's my setup and strategizing, but I remember RE5's CPU, for the most part, being soggy wet buns. And now replaying it, Sheva throughout the entire run was (as overused as this phrase is) STANDING ON BUSINESS! There were times she had to save my ass from goons or heal me, and sometimes I would sit there thinking, "This can't be the same game I was struggling for hours playing in my elementary years there's no damn way."

Now that she’s a lot more well liked, do you think it’s possible that Ashley will get a mention in later games, or if they ever remake 6? Even if it’s a little thing like Kendo’s gun or Marvin’s knife from RE4make?
While I would be totally stoked for Leon to start wearing Ashley's necklace like the Aragorn to her Arwen... Leon seems to hold onto mementos like that in order to commemorate the honorable dead. So... when you think about it like that, I unfortunately don't actually see him carrying one of her keepsakes with him. (The interesting thing will be to see what he does with Krauser's knife tbh.)
By the probable time of RE9, it will have been twenty years since RE4 took place. I don't know how they would even begin to justify bringing her back suddenly after twenty goddamn years. That's not to say that they couldn't -- they sat on Barry and Rebecca for almost the same length of time -- but... I don't know, man.
But considering the fact that she made a very unexpected cameo of sorts in Infinite Darkness -- when I was certain that we'd never even so much as hear her name whispered ever again outside of RE4 and its remake -- I don't necessarily think they're done with Ashley. What they're actually going to do with her, though, remains to be seen.
We really just need to wait to see what Capcom does with Separate Ways -- because if Separate Ways branches off into a whole new storyline, there won't be an RE6 Remake -- or an RE5 Remake, for that matter. There will just be a new set of games following a different storyline.
And at that point? Literally anything is possible.
And honestly, just as like a side tangent, I don't know how they would be able to justify RE6 existing in the same universe as RE4make. RE6 basically can't happen without Leon having an almost manic devotion to Ada and him being unwavering in his faith in her as a person -- and RE4make deleted that from his character. They would pretty much have to rewrite the entire story. Because, like... without that aspect of Leon's character, Chris just kills Carla, thinking that she's Ada, and Simmons gets away. LMAO
Like, it's not to say that Remake Leon wouldn't care whether Ada lived or died -- of course he would care. But she wouldn't be his main priority. And with Chris being as obsessive as he is in RE6, Leon not prioritizing Ada's well-being ends with no one figuring out the Carla/Ada thing, and the plot just kind of dies. So the whole game would have to be changed.

RE4R Leon seems so done with Ada compared to OG series where he still arbors feeling for her as far as RE6 goes. And ngl i'm happy about it cause maybe, maybe, we'll get to see more of Ada in the future outside the prism of the mysterious and mischievous love interest and deep dive more into her morally grey persona and duality. Like it was so obvious she was just here as a person of interest for Leon but she seems so much more fleshed out since RE2R and i can't wait for more. I need an RE6 Remake Ada segment better and bolder and more interesting than what we got.
And tbh, the RE4R ending clued me in she will a hundred percent be in RE5 this time if there's a remake (im highly convinced), bc i think capcom start to understand what they can do with her and what she can accomplish. She deny Wesker his sample after all.
tbh i see nothing wrong with Ada/Leon but to me she never seemed the type to settle, it's not what she's after nor the goal, even if she have a soft spot for Leon, she has other priorities and i think, im optimistic i know , i think they want to turn her around a bit and question what she does and for what, i think its time to explore her reasons and why she is doing what she does
