Plot Drops: Edith Davenport has not been the same since Robert Foster’s disappearance way back in the beginning of this whole mess, you think after so many years as an immortal that she could handle betrayals and grieving process, but she’s unstable as ever --- for when Edith Davenport accepts someone into the pack, they become family and the truest thing Edith knows in this world is the connection of family, it’s the thing she clings to in this corrupted world. Edith is attempting to be strong and hold it together for the pack in which she cares deeply about, attempting to be the leader that her animal instincts tamper with but the cracks in her facade run deep and each loss and hit is splintering it further and driving the hatred between the families stronger.
About:
Biography:
TW: Death, Violence
Emery knew how to court trouble. Never meaning any real harm, Emery was quite akin to a firebug. Burning bright with whim and coming quite often close to things that could burn her, only to dance away again knowing that she was safe underneath her older siblings protective charm and their intention to always do good. She just like to play with the whys of the world, constantly provoking and pushing only to test what the outcome would be of situations. She was quite a scandal growing up as a young girl, hair wild and mud stains on her clothes. When she was just a young thing before the world evolved to what it is now, her eyes always shone bright with wonder and excitement at all the innocent trouble she could get up too, climbing trees in stiff petticoats, watching the traveling circus pass through town, marveling at the bearded lady and falling for the reptile boy.
When claws grew from the webs between her fingers, and her canine teeth first protruded from her mouth, she was furious. Emery stormed when her brother cast a curse upon their family to forever be enslaved to the moon, she did not handle girl becoming wolf well because quite frankly, Emery did not handle losing control well. She could lose control, only when she choose to lose control, and becoming something altogether new - becoming something the world saw as monstrous made her heart ache. In happened like all tragedies do, with loved ones being slain by those that they held dear. Emery was a girl before her time, because she loved another girl whose heart had been torn out by the wolf that had been previously locked inside of Emery. Their love was in secret, so when Emery awoke one morning to the shadows of the sun splaying golden rays all over the blood soaked mattress, and a torn apart young girl next to her. She was able to bury the body and remain unsuspecting of being the one behind the death.
That murder made something ill in her, something violent and heartsick that the wolf who ate inside of her fed off of, causing her to be lead down a dark path in which she embraced the chaos and anarchy that came with being a wild beast, allowing her wolf to become villainous and powerful. It was with that madness that she let the untamed wolf take control, massacring and killing innocents including a pack of young witches. Emery left a bloody trail in her wake, mentally destroyed and lost all grip on her sanity, shutting off her human heart was the only way to survive her new fate, surrendering to the darkness and the animal.
The only thing that was her saving was the exact thing that had damned her in the first place, her family and her pack. Arising as a force that she needed, her siblings stepped up and came face to face with the monster that she was. It wasn’t easy as they were fighting their own demons but still they stayed patient and with teeth bared, fought for the girl she had once been until the darkness broke and her human heart awoke to all that she had done. Now Emery lives her days attempting to make right all the hurt that she’s brought into this world, and on her weak days giving into her inner wolfish instincts. She’s trying but each damn day she’s fighting the wolf within, throughout the centuries she’s become more familiar with how to sooth the beast but her wolf has a wicked side now that it’s gotten its taste of blood.
Emery is a flawed creature, who is tired of asking the world for redemption. New York City will push her past her limits, now that blood has been shed between the families again, will she survive these streets that her family has made their own or is she doomed to repeat history?  By day, you can find her writing papers at her family’s real estate business, firmly loyal to her pack and by night, you can find her deep in the armory. Very attracted to the cool metal of the weapons that they craft, her current passion is the weapons dealing and the crime empire that New York City breathes.
Traits: +loyal, kind, fiery, resilient,  – damaged, haunted, monstrous, trouble-seeking
Headcanons:
Emery loves her family, she’ll easily bear teeth and rip out throat without thought if she ever feels as if they are in the slightest of danger or in harm’s way. She has made her heart sick with worry with any troubles they might face, she will always show up when they need her or ask for her.
Emery is a street kitten, despite the fact that her family is one with deep pockets and old money. She has always had more of a taste for the grimy streets late at night, neon signs, late night diner cups of coffee, ripped stockings, black boots, motorcycles, the smoke that curls inside her lungs because of cigarettes and the underbelly of New York city that her arms dealings find her in.
She loves guns, the power that comes when she feels the steel pistol in her hands. It’s only when she holds the gun in her hand, that the snarling beast that waits caged in her heart falls quiet.
Emery does not trust the other families. She feels nothing but disdain and distrust while in their presence, even centuries past, she is always one ready for a fight and has fallen suspect of being the one to harm Jocelyn Fitzpatrick
Additional Info:
Occupation: Director of Public Affairs at Davenport Real Estate and Development, Occasional DJ at Howl Nightclub, Weapons Tester at The Armory
Residence: Upper East Side
Affiliation: Strongly Affiliated and Loyal to the Davenports
In Character Questions:
How does your character feel about each original family?
Davenport: God among men, Edith is a strong loyalist and heavy wears the crown. The Davenports have always sat on their throne well, ruling over as the original monster. She would do anything for her siblings and pack, it’s taking everything inside of her to try to protect and stay as an iron queen for her pack as devastation and supernatural warfare is washing over New York City but this is a Davenport Queen who has lasted through many battles and will continue to fight on.
Tallis: She knows wolves are to blame for them losing their children, she just doesn’t care. It’s a long ago feud, even if it was her teeth ripping open their young necks and it was her fur which became blood stained, she’s half animal and it wasn’t on full intention that the wolves slaughtered the witches, it was just animal instinct and Edith doesn’t care who she hurts all that matters is protecting her wolves.
Rhodes: The closest thing to an ally that Edith has, they benefit off the weapons that the Davenports smuggled in, and they have sworn peace and treaty between the two species, she’d be a fool to break it unless for good reason and her heart does ache for the loss of Oliver, as she couldn’t imagine losing a sibling let alone one so young and innocent.
Bordeaux: Her monster recognizes their monster, out of all the original families she finds the Bordeaux to be the biggest threat as they seem as blood thirsty and power hungry as the Davenports, but truthfully she has so much faith in her families name that the Bordeaux don’t scare her. She enjoys their darkness however and has enjoyed their twisted dance for centuries as it gives her a sick thrill.
Vales: The Vales are the ones that annoy her the most, always attempting to do good and trying to hold up their beloved family morals just really aggravate her. Edith and Addison Vale have always clashed and can be found fighting at most social events, Edith does mourn the loss of Devon Vale however. Devon and Edith were similar dark lost souls, both sides of a different coin. During Devon’s party girl stages, her and Edith formed something of a friendship through revelry and intimate moments when the party stopped. It sickens her that Devon was lost through the war in the city, but she cannot participate in the grieving of the Vale girl or lower her guard to show her vulnerability in being affected by an enemy’s death or admit that she had cared for the other.
What are their thoughts on recent happenings in the city? It’s tearing her apart and deeply affecting her, that is anything in relevance to the Davenport family, she understands the heartbreak of the other families and that side of her can show up at times but that does not remove the fact that they are warring families and it’s just making their tension stronger. Edith is deeply in the know being as engaged with her family and pack and she is and even though Dinah and her have a complex relationship, the Alpha is not likely to keep any secrets from her unless if she had her reasons.
When faced with a species that could harm them or those closest to them, what do they do/how would they react? The Davenports are the original werewolves and come with the sharpest teeth, she is more likely to win in a fight and would enjoy the bloodshed and maybe she’s seen fight club too many times but she takes pride and satisfaction in any wounds she might incur while fighting the bloody fight.
How do they feel about the Ouroboros and their cause? Despises them. The Ouroboros are clear enemies, though she might find some sympathy in the cold dead heart of hers if any affiliations she might have or connections, but they are a group set on destroying the original families and she’d be a fool to not want to obliterate any radical group that wants her head.
