Some photoshopped NEO Joshuas and some Composer versions cause I was feeling rusty. Plus some before and after gifs cause it was cool seeing the changes.

The Composer versions are actual redraws but for the human forms I just drew on top of the anime screenshots cause I was feeling lazy and wanted to try and keep the anime feel. I thought it might be easier but honestly I don't think it was because of the gradients they use on top.

Tagging @rainbow-nijisaki and @black-quadrant since apparently we were all thinking of anime NEO Joshua about the same time. I was doing Composer form redraws from anime screenshots when the redraws were first posted by rainbow-nijisaki, (so if you like these and you haven't seen those ones, please go check them out!) which inspired me to try some human NEO Joshuas. I guess we had anime related Joshuas on the mind!

More on the Gabriel/Sigyn parallel I was barking about the other day, imagine how cool (sad) it would’ve been if after Gabriel kills Loki the magic keeping them reflecting each other died. The illusion on cast over them making them twins fading away to their original forms with both of them looking more like what you historically hear/see them described as and Gabriel’s back to looking like-

Also the very sudden and devastating loss of identity and self expression because that was all riding on Loki and his trust in him to hold the illusion that protected them, and whether or not to make the conscious choice to continue wearing that body despite everything that’s been done to him (so then they could keep speight because I love him)

This might not be anything, but while writing about your fics, the way you have the characters' mannerisms down PERFECTLY got me thinking about mirroring...

There's a lot of it in 7 (Horii is a directorial genius etc etc), most of it more intentional than these probably are, but there's something so interesting about mirroring that takes the tone of a (relatively) fond memory, a familiar gesture, and inverts it in the way shown here.

OH I'M GLAD YOU'VE NOTICED THESE TOO I think I mentioned it months back (or I drafted a post 'bout it but didn't think it was anything noteworthy) but I always really did like how the Arakawa Family mimicked each other's mannerisms (also circling back to how Jo and Masato calling Ichiban 'Ichi' presumably after picking it up from Arakawa)!

Aoki actually does the same sitting gesture too! I went back to double check and skim through the rest of the game's cutscenes, and as far as I could tell unless I skipped a scene, it really is only these three that do this specific pose:

It's such a small detail but I love it immensely and it really does highlight their connections with each other and it drives me insane

Random food I discovered today that I think would make an interesting Cookie Run character: black sapote

They’re a tropical fruit related to persimmon that grow in the Central America area

I find them particularly interesting because they apparently taste like chocolate (and also caramel?), and they’re only ripe and good to eat when they look dark, rotted and kind of gross

I mention these things because I feel like there’s potential here for an interesting Cookie given those unique traits, I just don’t know what to do with it

there's this one girl at work who thinks she's the Waitress Supreme literally is convinced the goddess of waitresses shat her out and stuck her in a barely-functioning pub in the arsecrack of england and today i was soooo poorly and sickly and weak and feeble literally on death's door cough coughu oug h etc and still had to do a 12-10 shift bc i need MONEY, so safe to say i was not in the mood for her omd. like this girl is not a manager. she is not even a supervisor. she is a student that, while working full-time, comes and goes in regards to her studies. so tell me WHY she tries to give me orders as if she's not only in a position to do so but also like she's singlehandedly running the fucking military. 'that cutlery hasn't been polished yet' 'why are you making drinks for the chefs when there's tables to clear' 'B2 havent had their menus'. all incredibly valid points when you give each problem at least 2 minutes to naturally resolve itself AND the problem in question is in your section AND you speak to people with a friendly, helpful tone instead of the most patronising bitchy voice you ever heard. i wanted to kill her dead i literally had to just ignore her every time she spoke to me even if it did come across rude like it was either that or lose my job to an ABH charge.
