This is actually mind boggling and gives so much insight to their relationship that we never saw in Hyuna's round because she herself is an unreliable narrator. She thought it was all sunshine and rainbows but the two were very clearly battling for her affection (Luka more clearly) and Luka definitely played the innocent card to get more affection from Hyuna. It even explains why she was holding Luka at a distance when she was cuddling her brother, Hyunwoo, in her round. Not because she disliked him, but because she didn't want them to fight. Also the reason why she was so surprised and distraught at Luka's sudden strength and act of violence towards Hyunwoo and him kissing her because everything so far had pointed to him being innocent and frail and him playing into that. Actually insane how much information this gives even though it is three scenes of CHIBIS.

Thoughts after watching All-in

I said in a previous post that Luka feels like the embodiment of Alien Stage, finding amusement in suffering, and now, having watched All-in, I'm even more into that idea.

Considering that Hyuna and Luka have a history, with Luka killing Hyunwoo, the fact that they are at the complete opposite sides of this human-alien schism rings even louder. While Luka is the king of Alien Stage, a show that the alien society finds high value for, Hyuna stands as someone who opposes it. And I think this contrast becomes so much better if we also view HyunaLuka as a parallel to MiziSua.

Hyuna seeks something from Luka, whether it really is revenge for her brother or something else we don't know for sure yet, but she seems intent on reaching him one way or another. Luka himself seems specially interested in Hyuna as well and yet they stand opposed to each other. Moreover, Hyuna held out hope for humanity even as a kid and she reached out to the stars but Luka seems passive about everything until he killed Hyunwoo. Hyuna found humanity in reaching for a better future, from hope. Luka, on the other hand, shed humanity for the pleasure he felt from the despair that comes with the act of taking a life.

MiziSua is different from them, representing a different approach to this dynamic. Mizi was always in touch with her emotions and with her humanity. She was always cheerful and optimistic and, similarly to Hyuna, also found humanity in the hope she carries. Sua was numb at the start, possibly from abuse and neglect from her alien owners, and it seemed as if her perspective on humanity relied only on despair. Later on, an inversion of these ideals happen. Sua found hope in Mizi the more time they spent together. Mizi then felt despair with the death of Sua.

The difference between HyunaLuka and MiziSua then comes from the fact that Mizi and Sua shared both their happiness and their pain. What they found from this is love and it was a love that cannot come to be without both hope and despair. Meanwhile, Hyuna and Luka were too at odds with each other to come to this end. Even before Luka killed Hyunwoo, there must have already been a dissonance between Hyuna and Luka which only later developed out of control into strife. MiziSua is a representation of love while HyunaLuka represents strife. Two essential facets of humanity, born from different reactions to hope and despair.

What if hyuna is the reason hyunwoo died? No in like purpose but accident. We see in the official chibi art where luka and hyunwoo fights and hyuna mostly the one scolded hyun woo.

What if hyuna found them fighting at the garden and she tries break the fight but it ends up taking hyunwoo life? Maybe its kinda explain her guilt

That's interesting. I've seen this theory from other places as well and they often state that it's why Hyuna looks so nervous and still when faced with Hyunwoo's bloody body. It could also be why Luka looks so triumphant, because Hyuna "chose" him over Hyunwoo. Maybe also the reason why she was so eager to leave her past life behind...

Honestly I think this theory is interesting, but I don't fully believe in it yet. Hyuna seems to sing nothing but love for her brother, and if she was the one who accidentally killed Hyunwoo, why would she detest Luka so much? The frame of them in ALIEN STAGE (Sweet Dream) shows Hyuna pointing a dagger to him. Although you could say it's because he's perpetuating the cycle of death and exploitation of human pets, some info about Hyuna states that she's not entirely a saint and is most spurred to action when her personal interests and motivations are involved. If she's hunting down Luka, it's because he's done something that permanently altered the way she saw him and ignited a desperation for justice. Hyunwoo's murder is the most likely reason.

Still, it's Alien Stage. Expect the unexpected, the expected yet amped to 100, the half-expected and the complete and utter fuckery. Hyuna accidentally killing Hyunwoo is still insanely intriguing and if it were true I'd go nuts.
