Harley was lying in what amounted to a puddle of his own blood and viscera, having clearly been torn into by god knows what. A demon, clearly, obviously, but who was unclear. It would be easy to mistake him for dead at first, if not for his shallow breaths proving his efforts to stubbornly cling to life even through this. Not that those would last that long without help, but they were there.

Although ultimately useless, a hand was pressed against his abdomen, clearly moved there when he could still move himself around instead of lying like a corpse, meant to keep his insides where they belonged instead of in the open air, a vain effort at best.

And yet, once he realized Havana was there, he began trying to choke out her name through a throat made thick with blood.
