as far as social media sites go, even if some people on here are. A Lot. And there's bad corners, as per everywhere... Still, compared to Some Other Large Sites there is an appreciation for the Human here. The experience of being human, the joy of creation, exploration of the reasons we share things and the motivations and experiences of authors. Of reflecting on how works impacted us. How even simple funne posts or whatever impact us.

I’ve noticed that decent amount of Sasha fanart has this polarity to it.
Most of the art of him is either distinguished, bold and/or intimidating. He’s here, he has presence, and he’s going to be your greatest ally or your greatest adversary. And then there’s the other type of fanart that kinda looks like someone just dumped a bucket of water on him. The best term I can come up with is patheticness? Where you just want to just pat him on the shoulder with a “you’ll be alright.” It’s hard to describe but I see it all the time.
I like both honestly, all power to you artists!
This polarity also reflects how is actually is in the games, being introduced as this badass, possibly evil scientist character and then you spend some time with him and look at RoR and he’s actually just a massive dork with a committed aesthetic who’s willing to get into debates with children over geometry and the conviction of scientific discovery.

thinking about the sonic 2 premiere i went to alone, at like 3pm (it was def early afternoon but not sure when) with just like 5 other people in the room (moms with kids) and how everyone left before the credits ended and i was sitting there Gripping the fuck out of the seat in front of me after the whole movie and then seeing post creds shadow i yelled (quietly) (sorry to the staff guy coming in to clean) it was the best movie experience ive ever had cant believe its been almost 2 years now
also the very next day i went to see it again with a friend to show him what the fuck i just saw and also make sure what i saw was actually real and not a daydream

One of my favorite Halloween costumes I've ever done was this time in college that my wife and I got invited to a space-themed costume party, and we used my collection of cheap costume pieces to put together these outfits that consisted of like, sunglasses, shitty wigs, ill-fitting hats, floral shirts, Party City leis, shorts, and several neckties.
And then at the party, every time someone asked what we were, we would be like,
"WHY WE ARE OF COURSE TWO HUMANS HERE ON VACATION IN YOUR SOLAR SYSTEM--I MEAN COUNTRY."
"HAHA YES. WE ARE JUST TWO CANADIANS FROM... CANADIA, HERE TO PARTAKE IN YOUR EXOTIC CULTURE OF EATING FOODS AND DRINKING LIQUIDS!"
And we basically spent the whole night iterating upon our little improvised intro again and again, and it was a blast.
My wife is such a good scene AND life partner, and I am so glad I married her! - Especially since she shares my love of Earth culture! -- I mean, human culture-- I mean, regular culture because as we all know, all culture on this planet is human culture because this planet somehow has only one sapient species!! - And that is something ALL of us with less than 6 limbs get to share and agree upon like any human would!!!!

the good thing about asperger's no longer being a diagnosis is that it's just called level 1 autism spectrum disorder now. i know i probably shouldn't be poking around in the mental health of strangers online, but as an autistic person myself, your struggles resonated with me. ever since i've been able to accept, understand, and begin to provide myself accommodations for my autism, my mental health has improved tremendously. autism is also co-morbid with oodles of other conditions, so it is definitely possible to have autism and other conditions that may have overlapping symptoms
It's funny, I was diagnosed, accepted it, over analyzed and rejected it, subsequently forgot about it entirely, then when the only helpful counselor I ever had brought up the idea I was like: Oh yeah! That makes sense. And went through the same process over again. I will say, having someone point out that something might be inhibiting my ability to interact with people was extremely helpful. Because I just thought I was really bad at it and processed it as a point of failure (which was intolerable). At one point she said "You don't have to do things you don't want to just because you feel like you should" and I think about that a lot. That should have been obvious but it was like she slapped me with a fish

Current status, sitting here with a handful of my pre-existing Erinaen worldbuilding, a tab for notes, multiple tabs on sounds made by rats an opossums, and a playlist of Artifexian's conlang videos
We'll see what I can do before I die
