AK: His (Landuo’s) rap has a “fire” feel and his loud voice really gets through to people. Everyone was already tired, but while listening to him everyone is standing up. 

Landuo: I think he is very brave to sing the song (Challenge Letter) that a lot of contestants doubted at that time (battle round). He has the courage to challenge himself and the humility to learn from us. He’s a nice person, and I think he’s songs are improving.

Why AK is called “Duck” by fans

Let’s use a scene from the debut night red carpet to illustrate.

Here AK explains he wanted to bring a microphone because his motto is “music speaks for me” but was given a duck microphone instead.

Then, Lin Mo does this gesture where he raises both of his arms. This is an imitation of this scene from Rap for Youth 2020 (where AK was a contestant).

If you listen to what AK raps right before raising his arms, it’s “yeah yeah” but he raps it more forcefully so it’s more of a “yā yā” (鴨鴨) sound which means “duck” in Chinese!
