AK's ex-girlfriend

I have never minded whether or not AK has a girlfriend. I follow him because of his music, how it resonates with me, and how it brought peace and catharsis during a challenging time in my life.

To those saying he put INTO1 in jeopardy by hiding his relationship: the members probably knew, and the fact that he hid it so well during his time in the group makes him responsible in my eyes.

He and his ex-girlfriend appears to have broken up. Best case scenario they were already heading towards a breakup, because I would hate to see a long-term relationship end because of this.

The case of the red 88rising sweatshirt

Recently watched/re-watched some of the Chuang 2021 vlogs and noticed  a recurring article of clothing. Specifically, this red sweatshirt

appears pretty frequently on different people (will add to this post if I find more):

Pretty sure AK is the only trainee from 88rising--which leads to the questions: Does AK have many such sweatshirts? Did he let others borrow? Were they “stolen” from him from time to time?

Closer look at AK’s first ranking speech

It’s AK they’re lifting. Also I rewatched the rehearsals for “As a Monster” and saw AK and Hu Yetao helping Keiya (a Japanese trainee) with his Chinese :)

Revisiting Opposite Way

In this segment of “Opposite Way,” AK raps about how at the age of 19 he started going to formal events (with wine and all) and talked to “uncles” (how people refer to male friends of a parent, in this case his dad). He would ask them, “What type of business do you run? Perhaps I can help?”

One of the reasons I love AK is his storytelling rap. He tells us his story through music (”music speaks for me”), and the story is consistent with what he tells Riki below:

AK and the desire to prove oneself

In “Love Me Love Me” (performed at Rap for Youth), AK tells us his relationship with praise. 

Here he raps that “Some people asked me why I work so hard/I usually respond honestly/I want to prove I’m outstanding (優秀) for the world to hear/So people open their eyes wide and focus on me.”

In this scene, the trainees are recreating the theme song and sharing what sentiment/wish each of them want to shout at the end of the song. AK shares that he wants to prove to the world he’s good (aka “優秀” though “outstanding” is a better translation here than “good”).

From Episode 6 of werewolf. The premise of the final round of Ep. 6 is that players have to find contracts and make deals with other plays to divide up fortune. Gifsets don’t do the episode justice, go watch it (if for no other reason than to see AK and Kaz being smart). 

I know this is a game, and contract negotiation is only one part of business, but I can’t help but think this is a glimpse of how AK would have been as a businessman if he hadn’t gone the Opposite Way :)
