cookin' up an extremely niche rarepair here; don't mind me 🦇🛼
because i have unstoppable brain fungus, i started thinking about the concept of bat/miyuri...... literally nobody ships this except for me, but it seems like it could be interesting. sorta like a fucked-up version of sanmiyu.
the bat likes girls who are strong enough to get the job done, but weak enough (physically or mentally) for her to boss around. someone like miyuri- cute, timid, and with poor self-confidence- would certainly catch her eye, especially if she saw the way miyuri fought.
miyuri is incredibly fast and strong, able to hold her own just fine against witches as well as other magical girls. she also loses all sense of reason when she blacks out, operating purely on instinct of "i will destroy the threat in front of me". the bat would love her no-holds-barred fighting style... including the way she'll tear other magical girls to shreds if they're not careful.
on that note, if the bat's voice could get through miyuri's fugue state, she'd probably specifically order miyu to kill people. monzenbashi miyuri AU or smth, hm... if miyu is dangerous enough under san's guidance, she'd be an even bigger threat following the whims of the bat. may not replace ranka's position as second-in-command, but would definitely hold a cushy spot within the gang as the bat's personal bruiser. i imagine that miyu would be upset about the bat taking advantage of her blackouts to turn her into a hitman, but it's not like she has much of a choice in what she does while she's unconscious... miyu's high-ranking position means she's kept safe from the gang wars, though, so as much as her role within monzenbashi freaks her out, she wouldn't dare go against the bat and risk losing the safety she's earned.
... i'm getting sidetracked.
as for how miyu would feel about the bat in general: i think it'd be a mixture of fear and respect. (mostly fear. the bat can be vicious, and i feel like she'd look pretty intimidating; not a great combo with miyu's anxiety.) she's strong, smart, and carries herself so confidently despite secretly being a huge coward herself, which are all traits that miyu would admire. actually, if miyu knew that the bat was a coward, she might find it vaguely inspirational(?) in a twisted way that someone spineless like her could become so cunning and powerful. the bat is a horrible role model and miyu would not want to follow her example to the letter but like, the principle of the thing
do u think the bat has nice legs... in my totally not biased at all opinion, i wanna say yes. +1 reason for miyu to be kinda into her.
miyuri's character profile calls her a masochist (she very much enjoyed getting ragdolled around by san during feather training in her MSS), so. y'know. that could mix well with how sadistic the bat seems to be.
the bat wouldn't really have a reason to punish miyuri for anything (in a monzenbashi miyu AU, because she's such an effective fighter; in a normal universe, because miyu hasn't wronged her), but would probably be down for hurting her anyway if she was into it. the bat doesn't strike me as the "healing magic" type, though, so miyu would end up accumulating a number of cuts and bruises... that might make her family worry. she'd have to be sure to heal herself up a little before going home. "i wiped out and hurt myself" only goes so far...
(i get the sense that san really would not like the bat at all, however. she would especially dislike the bat hanging around miyu because she knows full well that the bat is bad news, and she doesn't want miyu to get hurt. even if the bat doesn't have any interest in attacking miyu to begin with, and in fact thinks she's quite cute, that is... the opposite of reassuring, considering the bat's personality. personally i think the bat would dislike san in return (she hates getting bossed around), so poor miyu would be caught in the middle of a high-tension situation here.)
much to think about... anyway, that's all for now. thank you for tuning in to my regularly-scheduled NPCposting \( ᵕ̈ )/

I Love It So Much That I Can Fly
Single Effect: Damage Increase [30%] & Evade [35%] (Self / 3 Turns)
MLB Effect: Damage Increase [35%] & Evade [40%] (Self / 3 Turns)
Effect Definitions:
Damage Increase will increase the damage done by the equipped character’s attacks, and its effect takes place after the buffs and debuffs are calculated. Damage Increase and Damage Up are essentially the same effect, however Damage Up has a 100% cap while Damage Increase doesn’t. Both collectively cap at 300%.
Evade is an effect that will let a character dodge attacks for the turn it is active. Characters with Status Ailments cannot evade, and attacks such as Chase, Counter, Magia, and Doppels also cannot be evaded. Evade does not stack and if there are two sources of it, the highest percentage will be used.
TLDR: “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” is a very good memoria and is the first to eclipse “Past and Future.” However, keep in mind that in some circumstances “Past and Future” will be better if you value protection over a small increase of damage. The Evade on this is notable for being the first unlimited active source of it, but not very reliable for actual protection. This is event memoria for “Yukari Miyuri on Practice” and should be kept in case of a rerun.
Review: “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” is a new and notable memoria because of its 35% Damage Increase.
Before the introduction of this memoria, the highest Active three-turn source of Damage Increase memoria was “Past and Future.” Interestingly, “Past and Future” is a memoria present from the start of the game. Unlike it’s equivalent Attack Up “I Won't Stray From This Path” which has had been powercrept by several memoria introduced into the game, “Past and Future” hasn’t. In fact, outside of inferior event rewards, there wasn’t another memoria like it that gave Damage Increase at 30% for three turns.
Until now.
Behold the superior new memoria, “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly!” It doesn’t give 30% Damage Increase, no! It gives... 35% Damage Increase!
At this point you’re probably rolling your eyes, and I don’t blame you. A 5% increase isn’t going to be notable to anyone besides Whales who want to squeeze out as much damage as possible in high-tier content such as Kimochi events. Additionally, because “Past and Future” has been in the game so long, most players will likely have it Max Awakened at this point (granted, NA Refugees might not be so lucky). A max awakened “Past and Future” offers the same amount of Damage Increase as a single copy of “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” does.
Of course, a single copy of “Past and Future” will have less Damage Increase than a single copy of  “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” does as well. However, even then, you might want to still consider using “Past and Future” instead of it. This is due to their secondary effects.
“I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” gives 40% Evade and “Past and Future” gives 25% Damage Cut. Normally, preventing damage altogether is much better than reducing it; however Evade doesn’t stack. That 40% (35% if it isn’t Max Awakened) is as high as it will go unless you’re using a superior form of Evade, in which case the 40% Evade on this memoria is wasted.
As a bonus, it’s fine. But for actually protecting a character, it’s extremely unreliable. At 40%, and for three turns, it’s very possible that your character will Evade some of the time... But it’s not a guarantee that they’ll Evade when you need them to. This is also coupled with the fact that Evade, while powerful (and annoying when you’re on the wrong end of it), is comparatively easy to deal with. If the enemy uses Chase or Counter, your character will take damage. If the enemy inflicts a Status Ailment onto your character, they will take damage. If the enemy uses a Magia or Doppel, your character will take damage.
For low level play this is fine and there are ways to try and protect your character from Ailments or Doppel through play-- but there is also always the chance of the enemy having Anti-Evade, which renders your equipped character’s Evade useless. Why deal with all of that when you could go a more straightforward route and use the Damage Cut offered by “Past and Future” instead?
I’d like to emphasize that I’m not saying “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” is bad by any means. It’s a very good memoria and you should be excited if you get it. However, for most casual and average players, this is isn’t a necessity to grab. Like many new memoria in the game, it offers options: do you want to sacrifice the Damage Cut for 5% extra Damage Increase? For content like Kimochi, where damage taken isn’t an issue for high level play, the answer is going to be an instant yes. But for other content, it’s very possible you might want to play it more safe.
The last thing I’d like to mention regarding Evade is that Active Evade memoria is actually rare. “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” is the first unlimited four-star active Evade memoria in the game:
(Limited 4*) “Lightning Blitz” Evade [50%] & Critical Hit [40%] (Self / 1 turn)
(4*) “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” Evade [40%] & Damage Increase [35%] (Self / 3 Turns)
(3*) “Good Things May Lead to Disaster” Evade [40%] (Self / 1 turn) & Status Ailment Resistance Up [25%] (Self / 3 turns )
(Limited 3*) “Beach Nagisa's Afternoon Naptime” Evade [35%] & Critical Hit [40%] (Self / 1 Turn)
This makes it pretty unique. It’s unfortunate that Evade chance can’t be stacked to make that 40% chance a little better, but it’s worth noting all the same.
Going back to Damage Increase, I’ve mentioned that this will be a good memoria for Kimochi and high-end content. This is because Damage Increase has a technical cap at 200%, while the effects Attack Up and Damage Up have caps at 100%. What makes this especially notable is that Attack Up and Damage Up can be found on Connects, Magia, and Doppels, while Damage Increase can’t be.
Because of this, it’s common practice get gain Attack Up and Damage Up from Doppels and Magia, and to gain Damage Increase from memoria. There are other options in the game if you want to get more of the effect, but these work for one turn and not three. Good news though-- one of these is an unlimited three-star memoria!
(Limited 4*) “Memories of Departure” Damage Increase [45%] & Anti-Debuff [2 Debuffs] (Self / 1 Turn)
(3*) “Splash Party!” Damage Increase [40%] & Damage Cut [35%] (Self / 1 Turn)
(Limited 4*) “Deliver Your Wish!” Damage Increase [30%] & Damage Up Versus Enemies Affected With Status Ailments [40%] (Self / 1 Turn)
(Limited 4*) “Whereabouts of the Bubbles” Damage Increase [30%] & Damage Up Versus Enemies Affected With Status Ailments [40%] & Magia Damage Up [12.5%] (Self / 1 Turn)
(4*) “Past and Future” Damage Increase [30%] & Damage Cut [25%] (Self / 3 Turns)
(Limited 4*) “Miracle Reporters” Damage Increase [25%] & Damage Cut [20%] (Self / 3 Turns)
(Limited 3*) “Those Feet of Yours Are the Best in the World!” Damage Increase [25%] & Charged Attack Damage Up [12.5%] (Self / 1 Turn)
(Limited 4*) “Wanting to Covet This and That” Damage Increase [20%] & Accele MP Gain Up [22.5%] (Self / 3 Turns)
(3*) “To Museums on the Weekends” Damage Increase [20%] & Accele MP Gain Up [22.5%] (Self / 1 Turn)
Overall, “I Love It So Much That I Can Fly” is going to be a necessity for high-end Whales, but it’s going to be another good option to consider from for more average, casual players. You should feel free to use this on your Supports.
