I have been studying the Quran for years, but I didn't realize the importance of reading Seerah alongside it. I always thought that I would find the time to read a book on Seerah or watch a series by some ustadh on YouTube. However, I am doing what's important, which is reading and understanding the Quran as it's meant to be. So, I gave secondary importance to the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
I never had tears in my eyes hearing about the Prophet SAW, nor the desire to go to Madinah to visit him, or to be buried in Madinah so that I could be near him or see him in a dream. I could never feel all this or relate to it.
Yes, I heard lectures, felt compassion, and love for a while, but then got over those feelings and thought that maybe this is it. This is all I should be doing.
But then, Nemrah Ahmad launched her course, and like a die-hard fan of hers, I knew I was missing out on something, so I enrolled in it. Still, my thoughts remained the same: that reading and learning Seerah are additional things I would be doing. I didn't give it much importance as my entire focus was on the Quran and Ahadith.
So, I got the course, I opened the first lesson, and I started reading. And boy oh boy, did NA just drop a bomb over my head? She said, “You love to read and understand the Quran, you pray five times a day, you have a relationship with Allah, you want to go to Makkah and Madinah to seek forgiveness. You give Zakat, Sadaqat, and even stay away from sins.
So you believe that in doing so, you have enough faith to enter Jannah. Right? But it is not. It’s like taking an exam, answering all the questions correctly, giving your 100% in the test, but forgetting to write your roll number on the answer sheet. Will this make you pass your exam? No! Because there is a condition to having faith, which was told to us by the Prophet himself (SAW) years ago: "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his parents, his children, and all of mankind.”
So, you’re telling me that if I’m reading the Quran, praying all my five Salah, doing Tasbeeh, staying away from Haram, giving Sadaqa and Zakat, but I do not have love for the Prophet (SAW) in my heart more than my parents, my children, and all of mankind, that means I have no faith?
And how can I have his love in my heart more than for the entire mankind without reading about him? Without hearing his stories? Without learning what he was like and what he did for us?
And that’s where Seerah comes in 🥹
I don’t think I will ever be able to consider Seerah as something extra now. It is a part of our Deen, our Ilm, and we must learn it as it deserves to be learned because we can only love the Prophet (SAW) when we learn about his life and the sacrifices he made for us. This is why reading Seerah should be a part of our daily lives, just like the Quran and Salah.

How to learn the Quran?
Learning the Quran can be a fulfilling and meaningful journey. Here are three tips to make the process easier:
Start with Basic Arabic Reading and Pronunciation:
Before diving into the Quranic verses, familiarize yourself with the Arabic alphabet and basic pronunciation rules. This will help you read the Quranic text correctly. You can find numerous resources online, including videos and apps, that focus on teaching Arabic script and pronunciation.
Seek Guidance from a Qualified Teacher:
Consider enrolling in a Quranic learning program or finding a qualified Quran teacher online who can guide you through the learning process. A knowledgeable teacher can provide valuable insights into the meaning and context of the verses, correct your pronunciation, and offer support and encouragement. Many local mosques and online platforms offer Quranic education with experienced instructors.
Take It Step by Step:
The Quran is a comprehensive text, and trying to learn it all at once can be overwhelming. Break down your learning into manageable portions. Start with shorter Surahs and gradually progress to longer ones. Focus on understanding the meanings of the verses, and reflect on their significance. Consistent, gradual progress is key to building a strong foundation in Quranic learning.
Remember, patience and consistency are crucial when learning the Quran. It's not just about memorization but also about understanding and embodying the teachings. Additionally, seek support from the community, and don't hesitate to ask questions when needed.

[MoCuan di Bulan Ramadan] XL Axiata’s CRM Growth Team Tells Brands to Drive Loyalty with Gamification
As the holy month of Ramadan unfolds, brands are presented with a unique opportunity to connect with their audience on a deeper level. For marketing teams looking to enhance customer loyalty, XL Axiata’s CRM Growth Team has a valuable piece of advice – harness the power of gamification. Let’s delve into how this strategy can elevate brand loyalty during Ramadan and beyond:
**1. Understanding Cultural Sensitivities
Ramadan-Centric Gamification: XL Axiata’s CRM Growth Team emphasizes the importance of aligning gamification elements with the cultural nuances of Ramadan. Tailor games and challenges that resonate with the spirit of the season, creating a more meaningful and authentic connection with users.
Inclusive Approach: Ensure that gamification strategies are inclusive and respectful of diverse practices observed during Ramadan. This not only avoids cultural insensitivity but also demonstrates a brand’s commitment to understanding and respecting its audience.
**2. Exclusive Ramadan Rewards
Special In-App Challenges: Introduce exclusive in-app challenges related to Ramadan activities. Encourage users to participate in activities like charity walks, virtual Iftar gatherings, or Quran reading challenges. Rewarding such engagements fosters a sense of community within the brand ecosystem.
Limited-Edition Rewards: Create limited-edition digital rewards or badges specifically for the Ramadan period. Users can earn these by achieving certain milestones, contributing to the festive and celebratory atmosphere within the app.
**3. Social Media Integration
Shareable Achievements: Integrate gamification with social media platforms to enhance user engagement. Allow users to share their achievements and progress on platforms like Instagram or Twitter. This not only promotes the brand but also creates a sense of friendly competition among users.
Community Challenges: Initiate community-wide challenges on social media, encouraging users to participate collectively. This collaborative approach not only boosts brand visibility but also strengthens the sense of belonging among users.
**4. Real-Time Engagement
Live Gaming Sessions: Consider hosting live gaming sessions related to Ramadan themes. This could include trivia nights, virtual escape rooms, or interactive quizzes. Real-time engagement fosters a connection between the brand and its users, making the experience more memorable.
Instant Rewards: Implement instant rewards for real-time achievements during live sessions. Whether it’s correctly answering a question or achieving a specific milestone, instant gratification enhances the overall gamification experience.
**5. Data-Driven Personalization
Analyzing User Behavior: Leverage data analytics to understand user behavior during Ramadan. Identify peak engagement times, preferred game types, and popular challenges. This data-driven approach allows the CRM Growth Team to fine-tune gamification strategies for optimal results.
Personalized Rewards: Tailor rewards based on individual user preferences and behaviors. Personalization creates a more individualized and meaningful experience, enhancing the effectiveness of gamified loyalty programs.
Conclusion: Elevating Loyalty in Ramadan and Beyond
XL Axiata’s CRM Growth Team’s insights highlight the potential of gamification in driving brand loyalty, especially during culturally significant periods like Ramadan. By aligning gamification with the essence of the season, offering exclusive rewards, integrating with social media, ensuring real-time engagement, and utilizing data-driven personalization, brands can create lasting connections with their audience. This approach not only enhances loyalty during Ramadan but sets the stage for continued engagement and brand advocacy throughout the year. Ramadan Mubarak!

I've never understood the link between israel and the holocaust.
The holocaust was caused by europeans not the palestinians .So why do they have to pay the price for it?
Secondly not all jewish people support israel .plenty of palestinians are of jewish and christian descent and they vehemently oppose zionism and creation of israel.
Thirdly you can criticise a country without criticising an entire religion?
It's not antisemitic to criticise israel's policy towards palestinians.70 percent of settlements are in direct violation of international law.
Lastly, why is it okay to condemn discrimination against jewish people but not against palestinians? Because what they are doing atm is nothing short of genocide.
The logic is rather flimsy on the first question but if I understand it correctly, it’s that post World War, and after the holocaust, European Jewish people (rightfully) were like “Europe hates us this is not good” and the world started freaking out about where to send them. Thus emerged the idea of an ethnostate. Basically the world was like “we need to give Jewish people their own land. How convenient that their religion has ties to Palestine….oh, here’s an idea! Let’s tell them THATS the land that they have a right to. Problem solved.” So, if you say that Israel is a settler colony that doesn’t have the right to steal that land, Zionist propaganda can easily say “but we ran from the holocaust. Do you not want us to do that?? Do you WANT US TO DIE? You hate Jewish people. You’re anti-Semitic.” That’s the reason Germany feels too guilty to do anything. It’s kinda sorta their fault lmao. Though I’m not sure that “we feel bad about a past genocide so we have decided to support a current genocide” is a valid argument. But hey. They’ve never cared about validity.
Yes, you are correct. Tons of mizrahi Jewish communities are Palestinian. Jewish does NOT equal Israeli. Stats show that 1 in 4 Israelis have dual passports and dual citizenships. Meaning they’re not actually from Palestine or israel but moved there recently. They’re settlers who came over from Europe or America to occupy land because it’s important to fill the space that they push Palestinians out of and prevent original owners of the land to come back and take it. So they invite Jewish people from all over the world to come live there. And even then, there are some Israeli leftists who are against what Israel is doing. Recently their military told them that if they stand up for Palestinians, they will be put on buses and sent to Gaza to die with gazans.
That’s why it’s important to distinguish between Zionism and judaism. One is a nationalist right wing movement. The other is an ancient religion. But of course politicians will conflate the two and use that to their advantage. You’re absolutely right it’s NOT anti-Semitic to be anti-Zionist. Again, tons of Jewish folks are anti-Zionist.
And not all Israelis or Jewish folks who want to live in Palestine are bad/ considered colonialist. In fact, Jewish communities began moving there in the late 1800s. At first, Palestinians were welcoming of them. Like it’s fine for people to move from one country to another through immigration. As long as they’re coming to share in the land and resources of the country and integrate into society not like TAKE IT OVER. The first letter from the founder of Zionism to the mayor of Jerusalem dates back to 1899. Things got exponentially worse after the holocaust’s and during British colonization of Arab countries. This helped Israel to plant itself in Palestine and gain control.
As a lot of Zionist and propaganda commentators/ scholars have pointed out, it’s easy to accept genocide and discrimination against Palestinians because Israel has led a huge media and cultural campaign against them over years. By calling us animals. Rats. “Savages who live in open sewer water.” Etc. like a lot of people who are reading to Quran for the first time now on tiktok are blatantly saying “omg I can’t believe Islam is actually peaceful. This is not what I was taught. This is not what we were told.” If you spend decades convincing the western world that Palestinians and Muslims are blood thirsty, democracy haters who want to ruin your life, of course they’re gonna be okay with violence against them.
Fun fact: before Israel’s Zionist ethnostate Palestine had a secular, mostly liberal government. And right now, is the party that usually has most support among Palestinians (NOT Hamas). But of course nobody advertises this info because it makes Palestinians seem civilized, peaceful, and democratic. You can’t have that it you’re genociding them. Lol.

PODNEWS MUSLIMS IN THE MEDIA
Tumblr media
I read a news article a while ago which I wanted to briefly discuss. It reported on the portrayal of muslims in the media especially, the entertainment industry. If one reflects for a moment they will realise that in most cases in the media, such as the movie industry, muslims are often represented in two ways. They are either shown to have an extreme mentality whereby, they misinterpret the teachings of Islam in order to harm innocent people. Or they are shown as care-free people who are only muslim by name while their actions clearly contradict Islamic teachings. For example, they are often shown as alcohol drinkers and clubbers. It is very rare to see muslims being portrayed correctly such as a balanced rightly-guided muslim who fulfils their obligatory duties and takes part in the material world without compromising on their faith. This incorrect portrayal of muslims should not fool muslims into believing that the vast majority of the Islamic nation fit into these two extreme categories. In fact, the vast majority are balanced muslims and those who possess an extreme mentality are the minority. A muslim who observes this should therefore not give up their modesty and compromise on their faith believing that everyone else is doing the same so it is therefore acceptable for them to do so to. Unfortunately, this incorrect belief has already infected many muslims who use this poor excuse to take part in major sins, such as backbiting. This is an extremely immature attitude which fails to justify one’s actions in a worldly court how then can this excuse hold up in the court of Allah, the Exalted, on Judgement Day?
A Muslim should therefore, not be fooled and remain steadfast on the obedience of Allah, the Exalted, and not follow the behaviour of what the entertainment industry shows them. If a muslim chooses misguidance then they should know for certain that claiming everyone else was also misguided will not save them from the punishment of Allah, the Exalted. And if they remain steadfast on right guidance then the misguidance of others will not harm them in this world or the next. Chapter 5 Al Ma’idah, verse 105:
“O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided…”

degree in quranic studies
A degree in Quranic studies is a degree that focuses on the study of the Quran. This includes learning how to read and recite the Quran correctly, as well as studying the meaning, history, and interpretation of the Quran.
degree in quranic studies
There are many different programs that offer a degree in Quranic studies. Some programs are offered by accredited Islamic institutions, while others are offered by secular universities. The specific curriculum of a Quranic studies program will vary depending on the institution, but most programs will cover the following topics:
Quranic recitation: Students will learn how to read and recite the Quran correctly, in accordance with the rules of tajweed.
Quranic translation and interpretation: Students will learn the meaning of the Quran and how to interpret it. They may also study different tafsirs (interpretations) of the Quran.
Quranic history: Students will learn about the history of the Quran, including its revelation, compilation, and transmission.
Quranic sciences: Students may also study Quranic sciences, such as Quranic exegesis, Quranic morphology, and Quranic syntax.
In addition to these core topics, many Quranic studies programs also offer elective courses on a variety of related topics, such as Islamic law, Islamic theology, and Arabic language.
When choosing a Quranic studies program, it is important to consider your own needs and interests. You may also want to consider the following factors:
The teacher: Make sure that the teacher is qualified and experienced. You should also feel comfortable with the teacher's teaching style and approach.
The curriculum: Make sure that the curriculum covers the topics that you are interested in.
The format: Decide whether you prefer an online or in-person course.
The cost: Consider the cost of the course and whether it fits your budget.
If you are looking for a high-quality Quranic studies program, I recommend that you start by looking at the offerings of accredited Islamic institutions. You may also want to ask your local mosque or Islamic center for recommendations.
Here are some of the benefits of pursuing a degree in Quranic studies:
Gain a deep understanding of the Quran: A degree in Quranic studies will give you a deep understanding of the Quran, its meaning, and its history. This knowledge can be used to improve your own spiritual practice, to teach others about the Quran, or to pursue a career in Quranic scholarship.
Develop your Arabic language skills: Studying the Quran will also help you to develop your Arabic language skills. This is because the Quran is written in Arabic, and the best way to understand the Quran is to read it in its original language.
Enhance your critical thinking skills: Studying the Quran can also help you to develop your critical thinking skills. The Quran is a complex text, and there are many different interpretations of it. By studying the Quran, you will learn how to think critically about different interpretations and to develop your own understanding of the text.
Become a more well-rounded individual: Studying the Quran can also help you to become a more well-rounded individual. The Quran covers a wide range of topics, including religion, ethics, history, and law. By studying the Quran, you will gain a better understanding of the world and your place in it.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
