The way some of yall mischaracterize Ratio as being stoic in chill when in reality he is 24/7 resisting the urge to rip everyone around him a new one is crazy to me like. He cares so much, so much. It’s unhealthy, he loses the idgaf war every time because Ratio is the least nonchalant person ever like

He was this close to breaking character and throttling Sunday like you cannot tell me he wasn’t planning a murder in this scene. Ratio straight up calls Sunday a crazy bitch but everyone brushed it aside 😭

Honestly his entire conversation with Screwllum is just him tweaking, watch it on YouTube the VAs performance is amazing, you can here just how much He Cares

Genuinely, Aventurine is way better at concealing his true feelings that Ratio. Ratio may be acting for the sake of the plan but the way he truly feels about anything he’s doing always seeps through, it’s why he apologizes to Aventurine in 2.0 in their staged argument scene. It’s why he is as mean to Sunday as he can be. It’s why him pretending that he “hates” Aventurine makes him act so silly. Ratio can’t fully commit to the bit, he can’t force himself to not care or to be someone he isn’t, because fundamentally Ratio CARES and that is something he is incapable of hiding, alabaster bust or not.

The problem is that him expressing his care is often done in a rude and/or blunt manner which people tend to interpret as stoicism or apathy when it’s anything but. Ratio’s vial that he gives to Aventurine is short, sweet and gets straight to the point, because that’s the easiest way for Ratio to express his emotions, even if it’s often detrimental for him and anyone else around him. However Aventurine understands him quite well, and knows that although brief, Ratio telling him to “stay alive, survive this and keep on living” is how he truly feels towards Aventurine, and that’s enough to keep him going.

Underneath Ratios carefully crafted marble facade is a man who cares so much and is so bad at expressing it and I wish the community in general, especially Aventio shippers would acknowledge that more. Ratios true moments of sincerity are brief, but they are anything but stoic. Let the man be soft, it’s in character.

(who at first was kind of taken aback to Razor having made a random adult friend in the woods, but after vibe checking her , and her vibe checking you, yall were cool, tho she did start reading these new lore books you didnt recognize called "Immortal They Return: A Series of Prophesies", she avoided ur questions abt it too..)

It was inevitable that after introducing you to Lisa, he'd gotten all excited at seeing two familiar figures hanging around Kathryne one day

And just as he's about to go down, and ur debating reaching out and supporting the poor guy bc geez this looks sm worse in person-

Bennett has finally gotten his shoes untied!

Even he looks shocked 💀

And he like, apruptly stops falling over too?

And walks over with no issue??

Theres even a few out of place cobblestones in his path which he sees and moves to avoid

So after that fiasco, u offer to take them around to the parts of Mondstadt they weren't allowed to go to w/o at least 1 adult :)

At first, Bennett hangs back, as Fischl and Razor throw themselves into monster battles yall encounter, as per what seems like a routine u assume bc of his bad luck

Eh, u figure while hes here, u might as well reveal u can make him stronger, u think he definitely needs the HP...

If there were any characters youd be worried about needing more power/HP in Mondstadt that u could level up besides Razor, itd be Bennett, hands down.

Between his adventuring, unnatural bad luck, and no parental supervision..

So he looks adorably fascinated <3, bc turns out they can see some of ur interface!

Mostly it looks like floating magical icons and that weird Teyvat language u saw in game, like that Abyss/ruins language u see all the time?

Bennett showed u his perspective in a sand drawing, hes actually pretty good at art wow

Razor couldnt rlly find the words to describe it before which is why u werent sure what they saw before now

And with that hes called into battle last by the others, mostly to apply pyro 🔥

and he fights at the edges to be further away from ppl u notice so he wont affect their luck..

But as he draws his sword and ur getting ready trying to become a cheerleader for both Razor and Fischl but particularly Bennett,

He full on takes out 3 hilichurls at once 💀

...then with the dramatic down swing he does, he accidentally launches a rock right at the bigger hilichurl's foot..

...which trips him out of his axe swing...

...which makes it let go of the axe...

...which goes flying...

....breaks the last bit of the cryo abyss mage's shield bubble...

........and smacks it on the head too.

The blanket u used was a custom one u got made for Razor for his bday awhile back, all diff shades of purple and some silver wolf puppies and pawprints on it, 10/10 vv cute he loves it :)

Fischl eventually gets herded by Oz back to Mondstadt bc of their parents wanting them back by dinner,

So u Razor and Benny r left to wander around :]

As u guys explore and get chests and talk,

U all begin to gather ingredients for dinner (not that u dont have an inventory but the boys dont wanna cut into ur supplies, the sweethearts)

... Benny slowly starts to find and accumulate foodstuffs

Those Phileano? mushrooms (the white toasty looking ones that r always on roofs or windmills?)

He finds at eye level on nearly any building u come across.

Crabs?

Benny currently has his shirt turned into a basket trying to contain them, and more are flocking to him lol

Snap dragons? Calla lilies?? Even violetgrass, those purple horsetails, lotus heads, and a few qingqin from Liyue somehow make it into his bag 💀

The real question to ask at this point is, when wasn't Bennett lucky today??

(wow never thought youd hear that one)

So its a few weeks later, and Benny is like spending, every day with yall now lol

Ur getting dinner ready for u guys, and ur hopefully gonna make enough to leave leftovers for Lupical and Andrius,

So Razor has gone off to get some water to boil,

And Benny is climbing this huge tree to reach some eggs

And as he gets farther and farther up the tree away from you, he starts to slip more often 😬

Finally as he reaches the top, u realize after weeks without even a trip from him whenever hes around yall, why he wasnt unlucky-

...the closer he is to you, the luckier he is, and the farther Benny is-

He steps on a dead branch and it snaps :0 !!

Just as he falls, he screams and yells,

"DAD!!"

U push together some thick bushes and vines to catch him luckily

(lord knows u couldnt have caught him no matter how light he is, rip benny)

..Benny is okay, but he does go red in the face, and when u ask if he wants u to get one of his dads from the guild to check him over/make him feel better?

He says quickly "NO THANKS!"

Then Razor comes back like, "You call Lupical dad now?"

Benny: "What? No!"

You: "Do u see me as a, father figure, Bennett?"

Benny: "NO- more like I see u as a BOTHER figure bc ur always BOTHERING ME-"

Benny applied pyro, and bc u were standing father away than usual (there was an archer earlier u were dodging)

His bad luck crept in and when Razor went to charge up his wolf spirit electro ult-

...everyone went flying back.

Ok so youve been getting Razor and u furnishings right

And youve been asking him what he wants to add to the caves digs ! :]

(U made a more fortified "front door" to the cave entrance, its also not that deep of a cave so there r only like 3 other "rooms" besides the main entrance area)

U improved both of u guys beds (tho razor will crash urs if he has a nightmare)

Along with some new outfits for him!

And so he has requested some stuff, but as time goes on,

Slowly, Razor goes from telling Benny about what new thing u added or telling his friend abt what he wants for the cave/himself,

To asking Benny what he wants bc he stays over so often 😭

(Youve gotten Benny factored into ur finances now lol, u gave him new clothes, new gear, amenities, etc. It also helps him bc he doesnt rlly have a main caretaker, so if he needs money he has to take commissions, which can be dangerous to him alone bc if u dont know, Benny's Adventuring Team only has him as the single member of it, plus thats not good if he is too sick or too injured to work, so a 2nd source of lowkey income is good for him <3 )

U now have a coffee table as the dinner table (razor was used to sitting on the ground to eat so a high table felt weird to him)

And it has a few pillow chair thingys?

They deadass lowkey postured at you for an hour at you before giving in bc u seemed to be the only good luck charm the kid's ever gotten in his entire life 😭

I watched the Arlechinno short animation and wow I have to say that for the first time in a while, Hoyo has managed to really make me interested in a character just by giving me 7 minutes of their backstory. I think part of what makes Arlechinno so interesting is that while she is evil, she only became that way because of the cruel upbringing she had.

When she was a child the Mother she had was not only cruel but with a kind and "caring" facade knowing that in the end her children would have to kill one another for some title. So to rectify this, she became as cold and uncaring as possible when it was her turn to care for the children of the Hearth.

She never learned the value of loving and caring for people like a real family because that was something that was never given to her. And even in the end she was still forced to fight the only person she was really friends with as a kid. So by all means, it make's perfect sense why she would end up this way as a totally distant father figure who doesn't smile or give her children hugs or who doesn't show them the affection and love that a "mother" would.

To her, those are what lead to the trauma she endured in the first place, and she has replaced them with the complete opposite. I also think that Arlechinno's backstory is a really realistic portrayal of how "hurt people hurt people" in the sense that despite her best efforts to not become like her own demonic evil mother, she became arguably a little bit worse than her anyways because the ideals of the House of the Hearth never actually left her. She probably sees her title as Father as something that was inevitable and unavoidable. A responsibility that has been thrust onto her that she cannot fully give back.

After she became Father there was nobody else but her, she was a child utterly alone until she was granted another title that entailed a job and security. And when you're alone with nothing else, you really just have to keep going anyways when presented the opportunity to change.

I also think she really liked the idea of becoming a Harbinger because her friend wanted to visit Snezhnaya in the future, so in a sense she is fulfilling the promise she made by seeing the nation with her own eyes.

This short really puts into perspective what is happening in 4.6 with her and Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Arlechinno said she'd give up any secret missions in Fontaine in the trailer, but it wasn't under the condition that she be slain in combat. So it seems she's changed the rules entirely of who gets to become "Father" after she retires.

I also think because of the way she worded it, that she might also be leaving the Fatuis entirely to pursue other things because her goal of protecting Fontaine from the curse has already been solved, so there's no real reason for her to continue on with being Father or being The Knave.

While I do think Arlechinno is cruel and evil, I don't think she's the type of villain who would just continue being a Harbinger because she likes chaos and misery. She is a bad guy, but only to a certain extent.

I saw a theory (more of an idea, really) on Reddit that Kaveh might become the next Grand Sage, and I just wanted to squeal about that for a hot minute.

(And for clarity cos I feel like it'll come up: Kaveh doesn't have any reliable leaks relating to his kit nor his rarity (whether he's a five star or four star), and even if he is a four star he could very well still be super important to Sumeru's chain of authority (see Ningguang and Kujou Sara if you're doubtful)).

Anyway, my squealing:

It actually makes a surprising amount of sense for Kaveh to become the Grand Sage based on quest info alone - Alhaitham says at the end of Act 5 of the archon quest that he "wouldn't be surprised if Kaveh was appointed as a sage":

While his tone sounds sarcastic, Alhaitham is typically quite honest with his words. His deceits always come by omission, not by lying. Of course, Kaveh assumes Alhaitham is being mocking here, but then in Alhaitham's story quest Kaveh says himself that he should have been made Grand Sage over Alhaitham -

So we have examples in both of Kaveh's in game scenes that convey a desire (or, at the very least, a capacity) to be a Sage. These exchanges are rather comedic though, so I think we should take evidence from Nahida herself; specifically, her "About Kaveh" voiceline:

Nahida herself praises Kaveh's understanding of their Nation and of wisdom itself, whereas she admonishes Alhaitham's viewpoint in her corresponding voiceline about him. This implies that Nahida would choose Kaveh over Alhaitham as Grand Sage.

Lore wise we know that Kaveh is an accomplished graduate of the Ksharewar Darshan, widely known and well-liked. He built the Palace of Alcarazy(?) and the NPCs there sing his praises. While his interactions with Alhaitham are goofy, he can evidently keep up with him in debates and in Alhaitham's voicelines he says that Kaveh's intellect is equal to his own.

Also, there is a pattern in the game so far: each non-archon 'leader' or 'authority' has the vision matching their archon. Jean for Mondstadt, Ningguang for Liyue and Sara/Yae for Inazuma (depending on your perspective). It seemed that Alhaitham would fill this role in Sumeru, seeing as he's dendro and did take over as the Acting Grand Sage, similar to Jean's title. However, his time in that position is incredibly short-lived since he resigns at the end of his story quest (well, technically before it even starts). It is likely that "who will be the new Grand Sage?" will be an ongoing plot thread in Sumeru, much like "when will Varka return?" is in Mondstadt.

Since Kaveh is dendro, he would suit this pattern very well.

I also do just love the vibes of what it would mean for his character, and I think it would be very fun for Sumeru to be led by someone so wholeheartedly compassionate for everyone around them. Kaveh loves the arts and cares a lot about other people, so he matches Nahida's vision of Sumeru much better than Alhaitham does. Which isn't to say Alhaitham is cruel or uncaring, but that he is (as he says himself) not suited to the responsibility of leadership.

And, speaking of Alhaitham, the way this would develop their dynamic is actually rather funny. Technically Kaveh would become Alhaitham's boss, but everyone around them would be aware that Alhaitham saved the country and that Kaveh has only received the position because Alhaitham passed it over first. Can you imagine how frustrating that would be for Kaveh? Technically in charge, but with this information looming over everyone's heads?

Since Hoyo does like to keep a certain status quo, especially in voicelines, it's likely that Alhaitham and Kaveh will remain roommates. This still works even if Kaveh is promoted, with four possible explanations:

Kaveh's debt to Dori is so huge that he's financially screwed for life regardless of his salary

Kaveh is so bad with money that even once he's paid off his debt he still fails to save up for his own house

Because technically Alhaitham's house should also belong to him, Kaveh is stubborn and refuses to move out

Alhaitham and Kaveh reconcile/figure themselves out enough that they actually want to live together even if there's no financial incentive to

Also, I cannot overstate how amusing it would be for the Kavetham dynamic shift of Kaveh getting to fuck with Alhaitham a little as payback for all Alhaitham's trolling.

Anyways, this is a theory/hc that I really like, so I hope we don't get a mystery Sumeru character in 4.6 or something that we've never heard of before who gets to become Grand Sage.

I wrote a fic on AO3 like a few weeks ago about the period of time they must've spent stranded in space before Himeko found them and I think about it a lot. I wish Hoyo was less stingy about the time when the Astral Express crew consisted just of Himeko, Welt, and the Archives (and Pom Pom), because that is just such a crazy dynamic (and the fact that the Archives just dipped? Without a warning????? Where did they GO???)

I have so many thoughts about them from the jump they seem to have from the standoffishness in APHO to the more casual sassiness in Alien Space to - being travel partners?? Oookayyy. I like to think Welt pretends he's totally fine with the fact that the Archives is God Knows Where but it probably keeps him up at night. Well he wasn't sleeping well already but you know what I mean.

It would be so cold and funny and cruel if Hoyo leaned into the idea of them being both fragments of Reason stranded in the same universe together. Like they are SO similar. Even if their reunion includes a fight. I picture an unwanted forgiveness and break down crying.

As for Einsla in HSR... on god. 10 easy. It's bad enough Welt took Joey to St Fountain without telling her. He then had the audacity to go missing in another universe. Imagine Tesla finding out he's hanging around with the Archives. That one Joachim we Have to talk about your taste in men post speaks to me.

Do imagine them trying to give Void Archives the Do Not Hurt Our Son talk to little avail because their son is 85 years old and very much capable of defending himself (and looking very embarrassed at said talk because he can hear them)

THE FUCKING ROBIN IS MENTIONED IN THE POEM HAHAHAH (yes you can cry now. this poem IS ROBINS POEM FR FRF) oh but I am not done yet... do you want to know what is the main theme behind this short poem? I am gonna quote from litcharts:

"If I can prevent one broken heart, my life will have been worth living. If I can alleviate one person's suffering or soothe one person's pain—or even help a single helpless robin that has fallen out of its nest—my life will have been worth living."

Basically this means that if I share even a little bit of kidness to this robin, represented by Firefly (by Trailblazer) and Robin (represented by Sunday) then even if life gives me suffering and I "fall from the nest" (aka die in this POV), my life would have been worth living BECAUSE I have found one true friend in this cruel world who gave me reason enough to live. Ofc this poem reflects and relates to both characters who died in Penacony - Robin (singer of the song) and Firefly (mysterious girl). And Hoyo knew what they were doing (and now both Trailblazer and Sunday have something in common Ig, they are both speaker of the poem)

the 4.2 archon quest was so good, i loved it, the story unfolded so beautifully, the characters were created with so much love, it's left me feeling so wistful and even a bit melancholy, i know it's going to haunt me for a couple days but overall i really loved the direction they went with this, what an amazing end to this story ♡

I've defended furina ever since 4.0 against that whole 'neuvi is the real archon' crowd (who were SO annoying btw even after it was revealed he is the hydro sovereign) and my adoration of her has NEVER wavered because she is just a girl ! and she's doing her best ! && her character is BEAUTIFUL because she's just a girl, a human ! who has single handedly carried this burden (which wasn't even hers to begin with btw) alone for 500 years—putting on a mask everyday just to play the part of the archon, suffering in silence... & on the other hand, focalors, her divine counterpart, too worked tirelessly for the sake of justice, so she could sacrifice herself to fool the heavenly principles, and return neuvillette's authority

This whole arc had me in tears because it's so, "give me back my girlhood, it was mine first." I'm honestly so happy how it ended with furina leaving to live her own life, as she should ! she's free ! after working so hard for so long... like she did not waver once, not even when presented the chance, not even to the traveler in her own head. (& i loved this btw because i feel like all the other aqs we've kind of been 'the exception' with the archons) (also looking back, the whole plan to trap her and put her on trial was pretty cruel, though i dn't blame anyone cus no one knew at the time) but i was so so happy to read the other archons' new voicelines about furina, because even they recognized her dedication and perseverance and strength

&& a shoutout to navia who is so beautiful and strong and she's lost her father and now silver + melus... their love and devotion to her literally had me in tears within the first like 5 minutes of the aq. Like the two oceanids protecting her !!!! they were already in the collective consciousness but were still defending her literally til the end, literally in death. rare npcs that i care abt 'n cried for + i really thought they were gonna come back at the end but they didn't like they actually DIED ?? idk me personally i think mayb furina's second story quest will bring the dissolved ppl back mayb idk but i'm manifesting, ik we're def not done with fontaine yet so give navia her family back !

&& also i loved that for once, we are not against the fatui. for a while now i've been under the impression that the fatui might not be as bad as we're made to think they are at first, cus obviously everything is not black and white. im normally pretty whatevs abt childe but he's so silly for fighting the whale for like a month & then unintentionally saving the day whilst dissing neuvi with that thumbs down at the same time HAHAHA

ok i think that's it for now, i just really loved this archon quest. sumeru and fontaine really set the bar so high and i hope hoyo keeps this standard when we go to natlan as well. the overall story just keeps getting more 'n more interesting as we go and i'm honestly so excited cus we're learning sm yet there's also still so much we don't know ahhhhhhh !!!

Okay so I'm pretty new to Tumblr and have only been on the sf forum previously (yeah, I know, I'm slow like that). I've noticed that all Ge/nshin names are written with a "/" sign in-between the letters. Again, I'm new here, so bear with me. Why do we do this? Is it to avoid the wrath of Tumblr or Hoyo? Or to avoid vanilla people finding out? Like, I'm so confused... Also, how do you search for specific characters on Tumblr if their names are spelled with a "/"?

Hey there!! No worries, this is a really good question!! It's the latter: to avoid vanilla people who are going through tags from finding our kink-related content. That's why we also use the term "snz" and a lot of our blogs are private to only Tumblr users too. We want to keep our content to the snzblr community to avoid any possible harrassment from outsiders (cause a lot of people on the internet are cruel to things they find "weird").

Regarding searching, it's definitely a lot more difficult since a lot of us mark the slashes down differently. There's even variety in how many slashes are used per name and/or just in general. Sometimes people use double slashes while others use single slashes like I do. And we tend to break apart the names differently too. I tend to break them apart as much as I can and try to avoid small words when I break them apart for extra good measure to avoid vanillas finding my content, but that's just how I do it. Some people break them up less and/or in different places.

However, I would say the best way to search is to look through your favorite snzblr pages with a character or characters you like on them. Most pages have their tags consistent so if they have and/or share multiple pieces of content for a character, you can click the tags on their pages to go to their other posts with them.

For example, you can do that with Kae/ya, Di/luc, Al/hai/th/am, Ka/veh, Tar/tag/li/a, and more here!! The best way to narrow stuff down would be looking at other specific tags first like my gen/shin or gen/shin im/pact tags and then you can go searching for character-specific tags there. Most other pages will have this as well to make it easier for people to find content of their favorite characters. They will also often have fandom tags in a pinned post for even easier searching. In my case, I have my gen/shin tag in my pinned post, but not c/el/ls a/t w/or/k since it's a newer contribution to my page, and so far, I have only covered one character there when it comes to snz. To anyone interested, I do plan to do some sort of content on Kil/l/er T from the original and maybe even some R/ed Bl/o/od C/el/l A/A2/15/3 from Co/de Bl/a/ck at some point, so stay tuned!

For awhile now I’ve seen on the internet in the genshin community talks about how annoying or cruel some enemies have been. Sumeru ones especially. I kinda get it; there is a bit of humor in it though when you think some employee probably googled good team comps and made the evilest freeze team imaginable with Heralds.

However, as annoyed and intimidating some of the new roster of foes have been, they aren’t what scare me. The nation of hydro is coming soon. That means more hydro enemies for sure. Since the start of Genshin we have been fed insanely strong pyro and cryo characters in multiple ways. Fontaine is about to one of two things. Surprisingly manageable for many players, or Hoyo is about to break peoples’ legs with enemies ready for players with insane Hu Taos, Ganyus, Ayaka, Yoimiyas, etc.

I’m interested yet terrified. If I walk into a domain and see the perfect hyperbloom enemy team then I’m going to yell. Forget freeze, a burgeon team sounds awful to fight.

She and Dehya are the only ones in the standard banner that I don’t have.

I HEARD THE STORY GOT SUPER INTERESTING BUT I WASNT EXPECTING THIS??

first of all the plan to free nahida was so big brain, i loved it.

it’s currently 1am and i’m sobbing over rukkhadevata (/gen). i’m still wrapping my head around how she’s PHYSICALLY ERASED from teyvat, and nobody including nahida herself remembers her. only we do, supposedly because we’re not from teyvat.

she sounded so sweet and gentle and that’s partially what started the waterworks. hoyo did a great job casting her eng va cause she was amazing. when nahida had to wipe her out i was so so sad :( she gave up her entirety for the greater good

im also assuming zhongli doesn’t remember her either. i’m not gonna dwell on that cause i could rant abt him and his memory for ages, but i think that says enough :( it’s insane, to have your existence literally erased is so huge.

also nahida’s dialogue with dottore at the end had me GRIPPING MY BLANKET it was so intense and interesting. im super excited to see how the story will progress cause i feel like 3.3 is the starting point for everything cruel and brutal story-wise. dottore literally wiped out all his clones without so much as blinking, my jaw is hung.

the cryo archon must be insane if she’s keeping ALL THESE HARBINGERS ON A LEASH. i’m scared to find out what pierro is capable of now if dottore is that menacing 😭 the akademiya was literally dottore’s PLAYGROUND and he still has the gall to wager with the god of wisdom omg

and the fact that nahida called us the ‘first sage of buer’… that’s the coolest title ever, so sentimental and meaningful i’m literally in pieces rn the sumeru archon quest was amazing. leagues better than inazuma’s.

Many doubted him due to the thought the king would remain unwed and childless since he was a god himself and had no need for an heir. Much responsibility would be put on a child's shoulders, and they couldn't teach him about how to be a god. Soon, the whole crowd had agreed that the child would have been announced to them as another god among the people, and he mother would have been a devout follower or another god that the public would have already been in the know of. They gave the child to someone closer to the forests of Sumeru, the child would be taken care of in Aaru Village.
