All the times Tarak (Terrick) praised King’s skull, all the “your father must’ve passed it down to you,” moments.... When in reality, he means that in a very literal, physical way. The skulls are trophies - Tarak assumed King was one of them simply because of his skull, assumed that he was a fallen Titan Trapper’s son... But he’s not. And his skull isn’t a trophy, it’s just.. part of his face.

There is something interesting in the fact that Viserys, at fifty-two, could no longer walk up stairs and moved everywhere in a chair.
But Viserys's fifty-five-year-old cousin Princess Rhaenys was still fearless and fierce as in her youth and died fighting.
Daemon, at forty-nine years old, managed to get his wife pregnant and made an epic leap from his dragon on his opponent's dragon.
And it is worth mentioning the legendary Visenya Targaryen. At the age of seventy-two, she actively helped her son in the fight against religious fanatics. She had burned house Blanetree, Terrick, Deddings, Lychester and Wayn.

Note
Green stans have a lot of hilarious takes but the funniest thing to come out of HOTD is saying that Visenya would be team Green. When I first saw this I genuinely thought it was a joke.
Do they even know that Visenya hated the Faith of the Seven and was seconds away from burning down Oldtown, the seat of house Hightower ??
“You are a fool and a weakling, nephew. Do you think any man would ever have dared speak so to your father ? You have a dragon. Use him. Fly to Oldtown and make this Starry Sept another Harrenhal. Or give me leave, and let me roast this pious fool for you.” — The Sons of the Dragon.
“There, Visenya counseled him to take his dragons and bring fire and blood to both the Starry Sept and the Sept of Remembrance.” — The World of Ice and Fire
Okay, Maegor was a usurper, a usurper who followed his mother's path but he also HAD AN INTERNAL WAR WITH THE FAITH. He executed Grand Maester Gawen for protesting his claim to the throne, burned down the Sept of Remembrance and the Warrior’s Sons. Visenya burned down the seats of House Blanetree, House Terrick, House Deddings, House Lychester, and House Wayn because they sided with the Faith. Then, Visenya and Maegor fled to Oldtown, threatening to burn down the city, but didn’t do it since the High Septon mysteriously died. Visenya was Maegor’s most faithful support all along his reign, she played a major role as a mentor and adviser to her son.
Also, Visenya was said to have been a sorceress. The anti-magic Citadel was originally created by the Hightowers so why would she support them ???
*EDITED POST* (4/15/24)
*shrug* Anything for their raping, genocidal favs, I guess.
Also, Visenya purposefully supported Maegor because she truly thought that Aenys was too much of a people-pleasing, weak king after all she and her siblings did to conquer and rule the kingdom. She thought Maegor's assertiveness and totally opposite personality were what their dynasty needed, and she ignored the red flags out of a mixed perception made of love and necessity. to say that she hated Aenys is a bit of a stretch. She still took care of him when he fell ill out of the stress he made for himself by being way too lenient. which show she had no real ill will towards him or Aegon (his her and son), but that she saw an opportunity for herself and Maegor AND believed that only them could ensure the dynasty's future.
She was wrong. Maegor's heavier hand did seem at first to be needed for the Seven...but it obviously didn't work. They rather were more and more diligent and determined to come back in droves and he more martyred them than eliminated them. He was way too brutal and violent, seemingly thinking that he needed to keep his own wives and blood relatives in line through rape, torture, and violence....which isolated him form them and divided the dynasty....which is neve good for a dynasty.
Which is probably why you can see a steady decline in Visenya towards her death. It appeared she had great regrets ("Sons of the Dragon"):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike Maegor, Visenya knew when to be diplomatic but also be effectively threatening AND not overpower those who she needed to collaborate with (how she dealt with the Vale; her partnership with her siblings).

@aeg3n asked: “You startled me.” (terrick)
The   sworn   sword   waits   for   a   moment   as   he   looks   at   the   prince.   Does   a   Prince   should   truly   be   startled   by   anything?   Regardless,   the   last   of   his   house   just   stands   there   and   gives   a   small   bow   by   title   alone.   "The   princess   feels   ill   today   and   had   asked   me   to   tell   you   she   will   be   resting   on   her   own   tonight.   She   wishes   for   solicitude."   Except   for   him,   of   course,   he   makes   sure   of   that.
The   Queen   Mother   had   been   quite   stern   with   him   as   well   with   the   need   for   the   princess   to   have   a   sworn   sword   who   would   not   disappoint.   "I   suppose,   Your   Grace,   you   must   find   your   fun   elsewhere."

TWOIAF/Fire & Blood: The Finale of Maegor's War With The Faith
Warning, Spoilers Ahead...
43 AC has begun and the High Septon isn’t done sending his followers to a pointless, painful death. The Poor Fellows, or Stars, continue to haunt “the roads and wild places of the Reach, the Trident, and the Vale”, “falling upon travelers and swarming over towns, villages, and poorly defended castles, slaying the king’s loyalists wherever they found them”.
Ser Horys Hill survived the battle at Great Fork but defeat ruined his reputation and he had few followers left.
Ragged Silas, Septon Moon, and Dennis the Lame emerged as the new leaders of the Poor Fellows but they were no better than outlaws. Poxy Jeyne Poore, one of the most vicious captains of the Poor Fellows, made the woods between King’s Landing and Storm’s End impassable to travelers.
The Warrior’s Sons chose Ser Joffrey Doggett, the Red Dog of the Hills, as their new grand captain. He was determined to restore the order to its former glory. Ser Joffrey set out from Lannisport to seek the blessing of the High Septon, accompanied by a hundred men. By the time Joffrey arrived in Oldtown, his number had increased to two thousand – mostly knights, squires, and freeriders.
Lords and men of faith were gathering men as well, “plotting ways to bring the dragons down”.
Ravens were sent to every corner of the realm, “summoning lords and landed knights of doubtful loyalty” to King’s Landing to swear homage and deliver a child as hostage for their obedience.
The Stars and Sword were outlawed; “membership in either order would henceforth be punishable by death”. The High Septon was commanded to deliver himself to the Red Keep, “to stand trial for high treason.”
What does everyone involved in this nonsense hope to accomplish? More thousands of needless deaths? Maegor took out the initial strikes with minimal effort – and the initial forces vastly outnumbered the current recruits!
The High Septon responded from the Starry Sept, ordering King Maegor to present himself in Oldtown to “beg the forgiveness of the gods for his sins and cruelties”. The High Septon must know that if Maegor arrives in Oldtown, it would be on the back of Balerion. It wouldn’t end well, is all I’m saying.
Many of the Faithful echoed the High Septon’s defiance. Sone pious lords (the smart ones) traveled to King’s Landing, did homage, and presented hostages but more did not, trusting “to their numbers and the strength of their castles to keep them safe”. Because that worked so well for Harrenhal and the Field of Fire?
Maegor must have been in a rare “chill” mode as he let this nonsense fester for half a year. He was having fun building the Red Keep! Maegor – and Visenya – can only remain chill for so long. And they gave the offenders time to back off and seek forgiveness. Like the saying goes, “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t force him to drink. The grace period is over, now its time to end this nonsense,
Visenya brought fire and blood to the Riverlands, in a single night, Vhagar set the seats of House Banetree, House Terrick, House Deddings, House Lychester, and House Wayn aflame. Maegor handled the Westerlands, burning the castles of the Broomes, the Falwells, the Lorches, and other pious lords. Maegor reduced the seat of House Dogget to ash, killing Ser Joffrey’s father, mother, young sister, the sworn swords, serving men, and chattel.
Maegor was in the Westerlands but didn’t stop at Casterly Rock to retrieve his wayward family? No time? No interest? Did Maegor feel his burning of the various Westerlands castles sent a message to Lord Lannister and he didn’t need to make an appearance at the Rock?
Visenya and Maegor then flew to Oldtown. Oldtown had received news of the burnings in the Riverlands and the Westerlands. Thousands fled in the night, fleeing the city gates or boarding ships for distant ports. Thousands more decided to party their last night away: “This is the night for song and sin and drink, for come the morrow, the virtuous and the vile burn together.”
Others gathered in septs and ancient woods to pray they be spared. The “ancient woods” is intriguing. Does Oldtown, the home of the Faith of the Seven, have worshipers of the Old Gods? Did those gathering in the woods feel the new gods were ineffective against the Targaryens, so they tried to gain the favor of the Old Gods out of desperation?
The High Septon railed and thundered at the Starry Sept, calling down “the wroth of the gods upon the Targaryens”. My dude, you’ve been “calling down the wroth” for years! I doubt its going to manifest in the few hours it will take for Balerion and Vhagar to arrive in Oldtown.
The Archmaesters met in conclave at the Citadel. Great idea, time is limited, let’s have a lengthy debate over our options.
Oldtown’s city watch filled sacks with sand and pails with water. Crossbows, scorpions, spitfires, and spear-throwers were hoisted onto the battlements of the city wall.
Two hundred warrior’s sons, led by Ser Morgan Hightower (a younger brother of the Lord of Oldtown), surrounded the Starry Sept to defend the High Septon.
The Hightower’s beacon turned a baleful green as Lord Martyn Hightower called his banners.
Vhagar arrived first at dawn. Balerion arrived just before midday. Visenya and Maegor “found the gates of the city open, the battlements unmanned, and the banners of House Targaryen, House Tyrell, and House Hightower flying side by side atop the city walls.”
Visenya was the first to learn the news – the High Septon had died during the night.
Up next, what – or who – killed the High Septon.

History
She was adopted by her mothers very young. She has no memory of her birth family
Her mother, Evelyne was the only child of Lord Bracken. Her mother Meya, a knight from the riverlands.
Anges was determined to be a knight like her mother.
She trained long and hard, in the rain and the heat. Always determined to be the best.
She was assigned as a squire to a knight (connection wanted, either for the knight themselves or their family members she might have interacted with) and was on track to be knighted.
However, It seemed the gods had different plans for Anges. A serious injury at a tourney left her unable to carry on her training as a knight.
Even once her injury had healed she wasn’t able to fight the same way she use to. Her knee was unable to move the same way. Becoming a knight wasn’t an option any longer but she didn’t let her injury stop her love of sword fighting.
It took years of retraining, travelling the seven kingdoms and beyond to learn many different styles before finally finding her own. It was unique to her and she loved that.
Her dream to be a knight was long gone but found comfort in learning how to be a good leader to her people with her grandfather.
Now
Within the last year she married Lord Tully of Riverrun. House Bracken had a much larger army than the Tully’s. It was perfect in a political sense. Anges did her best to bring joy back into the family after the lose of the Lord’s first wife and son.

Edge of the World Reaction
You know, horror-comedy is a strange combination of genres, now that I think about it. Here is my fifth Owl House reaction!
Pre-episode thoughts
To be honest, I have no idea what to expect from this episode. Except I guess that we will finally get answers on where King came from? And the promo drawings give off "living up to fatherly expectations" vibes to me.
Episode thoughts
King's cooking! And Luz is in her grom outfit again, that's… strange.
"They're here", are they going in media res again?!
That's… just King in a mustache.
King of Da-oh this is definitely a dream sequence.
King wants to be a big brother? Adorable.
Ok, King finally realized that this is a dream, and we wake up. Turns out Luz hasn't talked about the last episode yet but is ready now. Oh, I wasn't expecting them to follow up on the last episode so soon. Is this going to be an A-plot, B-plot thing, or is King's family somehow connected to all this?
The theme song was skipped again! At this rate, we will never get to see Luz in her jacket during the character lineup.
Previously on the Owl House…
Luz is upset, activate hug mode! But seriously, Luz is beating herself too hard. Why does she think that she had something to do with Belos' rise to power?
Eda does the responsible adult thing and tells Luz to hide. Luz does the child protagonist thing of wanting to stop Belos immediately.
Lilith is here! Owlbert told her about the Draining spell.
Oh no! Luz is wearing the saddest face!
Hooty gets so excited from seeing Lilith again that he vomits out a bunch of garbage. So the letter is finally delivered…
Ah, it's a map to a "warrior clan" that can answer King's questions.
Eda is opposed, but Lilith points out that this is a convenient way to get Luz and King far away from Belos. Also, Luz thinks that they may serve as allies against Belos, but I somehow don't think that that will happen.
Eda breaks down after the kids left. After all, how is she supposed to stop Belos from hurting them? Lilith gives her a comforting hug.
The ship captain is back to give Luz, Hooty, and King a lift to their destination. Apparently, he quit working for the emperor for some reason, and his crew quit on him.
Another beast-island! A finger to be precise.
Nobody is here, but Luz got a key. This activated a fabulous light show. Hope nobody else detected it.
The light show teleported them to yet another titan carcass.
It's the big guy! You know, the one who gave the letter in the first place.
Is the other side of the world metaphorical or literal?
He was suspicious until he spotted King, understandable.
"Titan Trapper Island". So does this mean that these people harvest titans?
Demons that look like King... You know, the demons of the Boiling Isles are supposed to come from the titan's blood, so maybe Hooty and Nosa were unable to identify him because his people are from a different titan?
So these titan trappers' job is to kill titans, hence the name. But they haven't seen a titan themselves. There's allegedly one left tho.
Good news, they would love to help them. Luz just needs to speak with the elder.
So the boss speaks to their god... oh man, I'm getting Belos parallels.
So the big guy, Terrick, is name-dropping the elder, claims to be best friends and everything.
King learns what it's like to be a titan trapper, kind of whelming.
Meanwhile, Luz meets the elder, Bill. He's kind of cranky, and considers Belos to be an upstart, with a "carcass kingdom". A neat look at Belos' place in the wider world, but man, talk about glass houses. Also, Bill does not hold Terrick in nearly as high regard as Terrick wishes he does.
He will help! But he immediately goes on a rant about titans.
That's funny, his rant kind of makes titans sound like King. Is King a titan!?
That poster prophecy kind of make it sounds like King's the chosen one or something.
Oh boy, these people worship the Collector (under the name of the Grand Huntsman), kind of a bad sign.
Oh, they are wearing a costume… KING IS THE LAST TITAN!!!
Luz runs off to find King. Go Luz go!
Bill is suspicious, uh-oh.
Aww, King wants to play catch. A sign of watching too much tv, but also kind of sweet.
Terrick is notified of the King mix-up and proceeds to trick King into taking part in some creepy cult stuff.
Oh, so they are also trying to release the Collector from his prison, did the Collecter seek the aid of other people before Belos, and is he still invested in this attempt to break free?
King makes a strange connection with the stone-thingy, which made a Collector laugh in response, hoping nothing bad comes of it.
Who is this invisible person? Oh, thank god, it's Luz, here to save the day!
Oh, King doesn't want Luz to leave, poor boy!
The trappers found them! And Terrick cruelly rejects King.
Ooh, infighting! This is why you don't let only one guy speak with the boss.
Wait, now that I think about it, would King's shouty-thing tip them off earlier? Guess they just thought he used witch magic.
Hooty takes advantage of the infighting and rescues the silly kids.
They are back on their side, but the portal is still open. Don't worry, King got this, and destroyed the finger.
Huh, it must be weird to know that you are standing on the dead body of one of your relatives.
In retrospect, probably a bad idea to send off your security system Eda.
Oh, come on! A cliffhanger?
Reaction to other reactions
2100 recent posts, but not trending. That's strange, the owl house was trending for the whole week on a lot fewer posts. Maybe there is a fatigue system?
Oh, that's right, King got titan's blood inside him! Better hide that fact, or it will get messy real fast.
Someone suggests that King will go to the Human Realm with Luz, and you know, that will fit great with my theory that Luz will be trapped in the Human Realm between the 2nd and 3rd season.
Oh right, Flora wrote the book Bill was reading. I guess this means that they regularly travel to the Boiling Isles.
Oh, they are using the same kind of disk as Belos, just their one is broken. Guess that explains why the collector abandoned them for Belos.
I thought the collector's song was different! It's interesting that Luz is always remembering things differently.
Dana is trending 7th because she was caught pirating her own show, iconic. Wait, apparently she was trending SECOND at one point? And Owl House is not trending at all? Wild.
Someone else pointed out that the other side got the opposite day/night cycle, must be literal then.
Ohgod, that titan skull on the other side of the world is the same as the one in the owl beast flashback in the "Knock, Knock, Etc" episode!
Prediction for next episode
This is easier for me to make theories about. Clearly, Hunter is going to help Gus save the students from the Emperor's Coven's last push to sigil everyone. They will then meet the Owl Fam, who will find a safe space off-screen.

Kind of obsessed with the fact that in another world, the Titan Trappers might have gotten along very well with Philip.
I mean... Titan Trappers. Witch Hunters. Both on amicable (at least) terms with the Collector, both narrow-mindedly focused on the way they can win a war that no one else knows they’re fighting. The Trappers take trophies of their slain and wear them on their own bodies - Philip cuts his ears into shape and uses artificial magic. They’re the same.

Was anyone gonna tell me that the guy who voices Tarak (Terrick??) From the latest Owl House episode does Cobra Bubbles and Captain Gantu (is that how you spell it?) From Lilo and Stitch and the Sheriff from Gravity Falls?

Hullo lovelies.
Here are my WoW RP blogs (all open to cross-faction interactions regardless of in game affiliation):
@drunkenworgen - Virginia “Gin” Ash Ebonsteed; Alliance on a technicality, would love to be neutral (again).
@thegrumpiestwarlock - Abigail “Absinthe” Ash AKA Zerin; Horde, likes to use Alliance members for experiments, might curse you and take away your ability to communicate for funsies.
@tobiaslives - Tobias “Tobi” Livingston; Alliance, though legally dead, so who cares.
@blackwaldrogue - Lyda Rose Nightwind; not part of this, all those who seek healing are welcome in her home.
@felpirate - Belladonna Shadowheart; pirate, Illidari, Kaldorei, Alliance when its convienent for her.
@zacaria-jones - Zacaria (Zuh-car-ee-UH) “Zac” Jones; pacifist, show her your kitties.
Non-WoW RP blogs, open to multiple verses:
@shadowmatron - Pyra; vampiric Shadow Spirit that just wants to play with your soul.  Just a little.
Other blogs:
@worgin - ART.
@theguildlesswra - Tumblr for the Guildless on WrA.
@house-ebonsteed - A Gilnean soap opera.  Antics from the members of the Gilnean noble family - the Ebonsteeds.  They’re not good nobles.  (Mostly in game/RP snippets from the characters, some inspiration for Terrick Ebonsteed and his wife Virginia “Gin” Ash Ebonsteed.)
@outofcontext-gchat - Exactly as the URL reads.
