Come to think of the idea, that the mind set of the tainted darn media and society sees beauty only in the outside look of a person, or setting standards what a woman and man should do to act like one. The real essence of being beautiful as a human being limits in the word ‘standards of beauty’ in today’s time. Do you see how people judge a woman wherever she wear sexy clothes? On how they criticize with their naked eyes the figure that woman has? or the make-up she wears? the hair she got? and even the life she had?--how people critique a man on his clothes on or off? the things he had? the girl he got? and the looks he have? Above all the things I have mentioned, there’s much more ‘standards’ waiting to be mentioned. The double standards of beauty ruins the image of being beautiful the way you are, and people are to judge men’s and women’s behavior by different standards they set to fit in the idea of this ever changing society. You see,.. the wide ocean of men and women are to compare the homogeneity of being an individual. In the eyes of this eagle-like society, women’s faces are important and adored by only on thing.. Demoiselle beauty and men’s faces on the other hand, are seen to be interesting, manly, sometimes weird and humorous.

To think generally, women are more judged than men because they represent the beauty of the human races made by God in this world. In choosing between a curvy woman and the skinny one, beauty lies on that woman who have curves on her body. Believe me, in this society those curves are attractive. On make-ups, do you know how does a woman feel confronted on why she wears lipstick or lip tints during school days or even at work, that red? Out of almost those people who criticize women, they see that blood color of the lips as being this --malandi or puro paganda---, even though the intention of that woman who wears them is to hide her pale chopped lips. See how people make that thing a big deal. If you try to google the word beauty in the internet, it will show faces of women who wears make-ups and having such feminine faces. Look how internet became bias on this thing. On the other hand, men have become more expressive in make-up. Beauty vlogger like Patrick Starr and James Charles leads in charge online. There are also straight men who applies a little product to conceal the flaws and to show how they find the comfort they want themselves to have. What’s with the woman’s fitted waistline? or the 8 pack abs the man got? the tone color? the make-up? the hair and the face? Does that hinder everybody to be who they really are? F**ck standards! We human being had no fight against death itself, and that beauty will only become a good food for the decomposers.

The issue has the biological and geographical background of fertility. We do not have to beat ourselves just to set these standards, like it is made to have some actual benefit and significance. It doesn’t mean that having feminine beauty, it is already mixed with adolescence, how about having masculine beauty? This pandemic issue has to stop, because if it don’t? Many men and women will lose their self-esteem and they will have a hard time to show the real beauty they have inside. We do not want our future children and grandchildren to think that they need to starve, that they need surgeries, that they need a lot of beauty products in themselves just to be considered attractive, right? We should make a change, a change that starts in ourselves. Stop setting standards that puts your shoes in the dignity of a person. This world needed to change, because if doesn’t, people will continue to change for this world. And that is not a very nice thing.

Everyone has Kalon, a beauty that is more than skin-deep.
