recently got a japanese copy of pokemon crystal, its been a really interesting challenge playing through a game i know so well in a language i cant understand at all, you really gotta put your game knowledge to the test

Crispin might not be the sharpest tool in the shed but he’s definitely picked up on how Drayton is around ice types/the cold even if drayton denies it, EVERYONE knows what happened in opelucid city, Crispin would be more surprised if Drayton wasn’t traumatized from that experience so Crispin often distracts Drayton whenever Crispin visits the polar biome! He also lets his Pokemon out “to get a breath of fresh crisp air” but really it’s to warm Drayton up since they just radiate heat and spook off any ice types, he himself also isn’t shy about just hugging Drayton when he can (fire type trainers also run hot fr) so he’s got toasty hugs!!! Crispin does try to be subtle about his distractions and warming up Drayton as he doesn’t want Drayton to push him away and keep his fears even more locked up! He wants to support his friend!!!

He also may or may not have gifted Drayton a torchic once Drayton becomes more comfortable w/ sharing his fears, friend shaped heat warmer :) ~Drayton Angst anon 💛

Welp. I think Gerda wins the dubious honour.

Gerda was probably my last pick personally. Not because she shouldn't punch him... out of these three, she cops the most crap from Ahlberg. Mostly cause she's just so nice and probably rarely if ever would deck somebody just because they deserved it.

And then I thought about it and oh yeah I came up with a situation where she would...

“No, Gerda,” Erik admitted. His voice was low; no one in the crowded bar would overhear. His next words still came haltingly. “I knew I was riling the Trolls. The bells - I knew they wouldn’t stop them. I wanted them angry, and… and it worked!”

Gerda stared at him, but no accusation came.

The knot in Erik’s stomach undid itself. “It didn’t get out of hand, because I intended it end in a fight; I’d planned it all. All after reading Hilda’s essay. But I see how stupid it was, and… oh, Gerda, it feels so good to get this off my chest! I knew I could count on-

Something slammed into his head, and the bar spun out from under him. Erik’s ears rang, and then his face slapped onto the sticky floor. The roar of voices cut back in, only to fall into stunned silence.

Gerda stood over him, fist still bunched at her side, tears glinting in her eyes. “What you did… the danger you put this city in… that was on purpose!?”

Erik’s face flushed hot, the blood pounding against his bruised cheekbone. Every eye was on him, knocked on his ass. Worse, waiting to hear his answer.

The only sound was the squeak of the bartender’s rag as he patiently cleaned a glass - and slammed it down on the bar. “Ahem!”

Gerda flinched. Slowly she straightened, looked about at the bar’s patrons and at the bartender. She flushed and lowered her gaze. “Sorry.” Then she spun on her heel and left.

The sound of conversation slowly picked back up. Someone hauled Erik up and plunked him back down on his barstool, giving his shoulder a quick pat. The bartender shoved a glass into his hands. It was chock full of nothing but ice.

“There’s no alcohol in this…”

“That’s for your face. And I suggest you use it - that was a hell of a right hook. You’re lucky you’re a big guy. As for a drink, you want one, you buy one.”

The conversation and chink of glasses had returned to normal; everyone chatting with their companions. And him, at the bar, alone with nothing but his pint of ice. Gerda was gone. She was supposed to have understood. If not her… who else was he supposed to confide in? Hilda? Or perhaps he should let her have a swing at him, too. He deserved it. He had nothing but his adoring public. But they too, if they learned what he’d done, would surely turn on him.

“… totally inappropriate… she’s in uniform too…”

“…heard his speeches… probably a pain in the ass to work with…”

“…bet they were sleeping together…”

Erik stood, and his barstool screeched loudly on the floor. The volume in the bar dipped again. He fled.

Irina/Sharon (Xenoblade X) - I’m sorry but it’s real and nothing will change my mind. I’m now disallowing myself any more Xeno- ships because that would be too easy.

Akeha/Gayle (NieR) - Yoko Taro please let these women get therapy together it would be so good for them. Also they should spar it would be beneficial I think.

Hegemone/Agdistis (FFXIV) - Coworkers in an office building they probably have to live in. Things are going to happen and I think they would get along well.

Really hard to say tbh, as said before was never much of a shipper. I think the first one I was ever made aware of was Hilda/N from Pokemon BW, since one of the first fanfics I ever read was under that category (though given I’m transfem and N is great autistic rep I think I can explain the interest with hindsight)

Last song

Impossible to answer. I listen to parts my library pretty much daily and it depends on what part of my hyperfixation cycle I’m in. I don’t remember atm, but right now it’s either Hearing Things (Armoured Core 6), Ascension (FFXVI), or Dancing With The Source (Divinity 2), specifically the Tambura version.

Last movie

Another one I don’t remember specifically, but I rewatched Hot Fuzz (2007) a couple of weeks ago, and beyond that I cleared out Gravity (2013) from my to-watch list earlier in the year.
