Oh, does Deploy seem excited about this! Why, nobody's ever asked him to tell the story of the He Kill People entity, it's always Lady Cardboard Masc telling him to shut up about it!
Also due to me not wanting to write the entire story in LittleBigPlanet (mind you, the RPCS3 emulator mimics how one would type on an actual PlayStation; using the controller) so I'll put it here...
The "He Kill People" entity used to be a young, handsome jester who wore a fine, black latex suit... He was both a sticker panel entity and a sackbot, being whichever he wanted to be...
He was originally known as the Black Pierrot. He used to live in the Russian Theater, but due to mistreatment, he lost interest in his work, and moved to muiltiple other of the Creator Curator's planets to try and fit him...
But to no avail, he did not fit in, he did not feel like one with society. Out of rage and spite, he stripped himself of his sackbot-tiness and became entirely sticker panel, brutally attaching pieces of logic to himself all stored inside of a microchip, allowing him to begin his never-ending kill streak...
Recently, there's been no evidence of him, it's almost like he disappeared...
I was a bit disappointed with the buildings for this one. Not sure what I expected but definitely more than this. Maybe these old modern blocks just need some love? A power wash or deep clean perhaps? Either way, having been thoroughly spoilt by Powell & Moya and HKPA, my standards were raised immeasurably high by the time I got to Churchill. Still got some nice photos out of it, but wish it was worth the long walk under the sun.
I suppose I might have loved it more if it was any of the other shortlisted proposals built! Namely HKPA (I think only HKP then) and Chamberlin, Powell & Bon. Learned about these two afterwards but they’re worth a Google search. Some lovely drawings and visuals produced of these.
Funnily, my (subjectively) best photo was the last one of Henning Larsen’s strange concoction. It’s as if an otherworldly spaceship has landed on campus! 🛸 Completely at odds with the rest of Churchill College and rather conspicuous. Oddly fascinating, but ultimately far removed from the rhythmic lines of modernity governing the other buildings (and therefore a stranger).

I am considering the idea I had for the Solle Campaign - a post-apocalyptic game set in the deep woods, with rivers, valleys, and hills, and small abandoned towns and cities - centuries into the future with mutants and humans and many others trying to survive.
And I liked the idea of having a transport helicopter trashed somewhere in the woods for the players to find, partly inspired by an old idea but very much actively inspired by an early segment in Mutant: Year Zero - Road to Eden. In there what looks more or less like your typical Chinook (or HKP 4 in Sweden), in which an Enclave pilot was present with high-tech gear from the time after the Catastrophe that send people to live in cities underground... And it raises all kinds of questions as to what they were doing.
And, in my mind, why they would have a museum piece flying for a mission.
But, that being said, I wanted to copy that scene in which the players find a ruined flying machine with a cargo pay empty, save for one or two bodies covered in protective gear, the rusted remnants of whatever tools or weapons they had with them, and maybe a note from home, or a letter containing orders. Did they had to leave after a coup? Were they survivors from an assault made by a rival Enclave faction? Were they part of a reclamation unit? And all they had to use was this old, beat up, flying machine that was nearly obsolete centuries before the pilot was even born?
And then, of course, I want to add goodies to it. A gun, some survival gear, a keycard, a box of flashbangs that they can mistaken for frag grenades or... say, Christmas decorations.
It is up to me to figure out if there should be any dangers tied to it, or if it was just a lucky haul.
But, also, I want to have a small ruined town be found, and a police robot is patrolling a crime scene that was left unfinished the moments the nukes dropped. Barely functioning, and a mint-condition robot would be a fearsome foe, they may have a chance against this. Maybe.
And then, again, rewards should be due if they decide to fight this. Or... cruelly, but fitting with the theme, there may not be something to salvage. Not all dangers yield rewards, the players cannot trust the GM to “reward” them for taking stupid risks, just because they risked their lives.
This will take some pondering. That, and the rulebooks hardly mentioned what lived around in these parts of the world, so I will be given something of a carte blanche with what I populate it with. Either I make it up as I please, or look through the 40 years of material (and some I have found that do flesh the area of Norrland out).
