The bear attack animation in The Long Dark needs to be shorter or skippable. It’s too long and too loud. You let us skip through the dialogue cutscenes in Wintermute, why not the death animations?

While I’m pissed off, I’ll say that I found some forum posts about this and some of the responses are the most pretentious and annoying ones I’ve ever seen. Talking about how you just need to accept it and “if you don’t want to die, why do you want to be alive?” I almost responded to a two year old thread just to tell that guy to fuck off.

The new update is giving us so much we've been literally baying for for YEARS and it adds a whole new layer of realism to the game

1. New wildlife like cougars and ptarmigans

2. Recipes! (my favourite)

3. Safehouse customization

4. AN INSULATED FLASK TO KEEP DRINKS WARM I ALWAYS MISSED THAT

5. Does instead of stags everywhere

6. And new plantlife! Burdock and acorns, which throws me back to when I researched wilderness survival for days for a fic I may or may not have finished. I genuinely don't remember

Now if only my laptop wasn't older than me and my internet connection wasn't slower than a snail, I might actually be able to play sometimes soon...

She used to live with her grandparents in Milton before the first flare, during the chaos caused after it hit she tried her hardest to take care of them with the little resources she had on hand but with their age and health there wasn't much she could do, after their passing she had to set out to survive for herself in the now lonely cold world
