Notes from the Lamb

Heket took the longest to warm up to me. I don’t know if it was due to her inability to communicate with me or because she didn’t want to abandon what’s left of her pride. She’s taking a liking to cooking and missionary work though! Bathin says that she likes the drums so I might invest in some more for outside celebrations and ceremonies. She avoids Nari like the plague though, sticking by Leshys side and operating like his eyes while he operates as her voice. Me and Nari are slowly making our way through the Anchordeep. Kallamar was kind, even if it was out of cowardice.

Heket actually gave me the most trouble. This was my first time drawing a frog so making her head shape look good while not making it awkward was killing my soul. But here she is!!

Heket, being the most prideful of the Bishops, took a long time to warm up to the Lamb and settle into their cult. She still despises Narinder for taking her voice, not forgiving him for a good century. She one of the only missionaries that won’t bring something like a knife or axe with her as she goes on expeditions, opting for using brute force and her fists to take down enemies.

Lambe does not have any interest in romance, he’s very close friends with Sozo but that’s as close as he gets. we ship em a little haha !! never actually gonna happen though,,

Rem doesn't really care for romance either, but there are certain,, emotional investments with a few followers wink wonk (qpr !!)

as for me ? [this entire au started because I made a self-insert bc I fell head over heels for Heket the first interaction I had with her because she told me to kneel and I said yes ma’am]

to be truthful, it’s a bit,, complex. romance with a former dictator/bishop/god who was directly responsible for the almost-annihilation of your entire species isn’t easy. Lambe and Rem were NOT impressed when I confessed to them hahaha !!! but we’ve figured it out after almost 50 years of marriage, (which I might add was a terribly embarrassing event on my end).

I use my fancy-shmancy mind-reading powers to allow her to communicate with me easier ! after she trusted me enough to consent, of course. and she doesn’t mind my blabbering hehe.

talking with her helped me find myself again - in a sense - after the Dark Times. I would tell her facts about all the crops and flowers, and describe all my followers’ personalities and drama. it was oddly comforting,, I was too scared to talk to her at first, but then it started and it felt so natural. I think that’s what scared me the second time. how easy it was to just, let go of everything her and her siblings had done to us.

but I think I was just tired of feeling hurt.

and she made me smile, and I made her laugh !! tried not to until her throat healed properly tho whoops.

gosh haha look at me, I could ramble about my wife all day. hope that explains enough hehe !!

…… I am fully just back on my cult of the lamb bullshit. This whole thing isn’t technically finished yet but I’m too lazy rn. Enjoy!

Anyway! Meet Wendy <3 she’s a follower is my cult and she and Heket are the lesbians ever I take no criticisms.

Things about Wendy!

She has albinism and as a result she has some trouble with light sensitivity and sight sometimes. She can see but she does require some support sometimes and mostly sticks to cult tasks like generating devotion and cooking sometimes when Heket can’t do it. This partial blindness though made communicating with Heket at first difficult since Heket is mostly mute. Heket usually uses a form of sign language that Wendy can only partially track, so She and Leshy have developed their own communication system for Heket that has to do with tapping and squeezes so that they (mostly Leshy, who is fully blind and can’t see at all) can properly talk to her.

Wendy likes to drink, but can’t really hold her liquor and gets very drunk very easily.

Heket fully met Wendy when the two of them got drunk and had a bar fight in which Wendy thoroughly beat Heket’s ass. She has been harboring a massive crush on Wendy ever since. (Based on events in my game lol)

Wendy fell for Heket gradually, after she was assigned to help Leshy and Heket find a new way to communicate without their god powers that they used to compensate before. As she and Heket talked and got to know one another, Wendy slowly came to realize that she really wouldn’t mind kissing her. And then it was all downhill from there

Wendy confessed first, while blackout drunk. She did not remember doing this.

Heket confessed to Wendy at meal time, by giving Wendy the best meal she could muster. Giving food to people is Heket’s love language. They’ve been dating ever since <3

Heket begged The Lamb to give Wendy an immortality necklace, witch they complied to with the promise that Heket would agree to serve penance jobs for the slaughter of their people (The Lamb is still VERY upset about the genocide of their race and while is doing their best to treat the former bishops fairly, it’s a pretty big… forgive but never forget type of thing. And they want an apology.)

Wendy is very physically affectionate, their love language is definitely touch. She basically climbs Heket like a jungle gym giving cuddles. She is also very hug-y in general to all members of the cult she thinks of as friends.

Wendy is currently 76 years old, but has not aged since 37, when she received the immortality necklace. It’s been hard to adjust to, watching all of her peers grow old, but she is very much a part of the inner circle of The Lamb, Narinder, and all the bishops now- so she’s far from alone. But sometimes she fears the fact that she might not ever die.

Wendy would love Takis if they existed in the cotl universe.

Wendy is a Grey-Ace Lesbian! Heket is also a lesbian.

Wendy’s favorite color is blue.
