Headcanons Inspired by the Teen Wolf movie:

Eli is not just a Sterek child, I would bet money that he was conceived thanks to or at the Nemeton. Possibly both, depending on the AU. (Lowkey, I have *thoughts* about the Nemeton just spontaneously creating Eli all on its own because it has access to both Stiles and Derek DNA and is the original agent of chaos in the TW universe.)

While Eli was busy freaking out about being a werewolf and subconsciously stopping his own transformation, the Nemeton was drawing his spark closer. Thus the sleepwalking. Which, if we must accept the horror of canon, would probably grow more frequent when he moves to LA. That child is bringing Derek back to life before he can legally own a license and the Nemeton is his wingman.

Coach refuses to acknowledge who Derek is (he totally knows him/remembers him) because 'that jerk refused to try out for lacross!' and he 'is too busy to entertain basketball players or their delusions of grandeur!'

An alpha is only as strong as his pack bonds and Scott letting them all go dormant is why he didn't have the strength to hold down the nogistune/stop Derek. That the Hales remain close even when apart is why Derek did.

Stiles left the jeep purely because he *knew* toddler Eli was obsessed with it and it would drive Derek crazy for at least a decade. It's his way of flirting from a distance.

Eli knows who Stiles is (possibly very well). He did not put the pieces together with the jeep being his because it was too obvious and his brain flew right over that connection.

Eli's earliest memories are of 'helping' his dad fix the jeep, which is one of the reasons he's attached to it.

Ok had posted this on twitter a few weeks ago but had to share it here too!

I had the most twisted thought ever but still… What if ,when Derek had to think about a name for his son , he would have thought about calling him Stiles because he loved this weird, hyperactive, kind, caring , courageous and intelligent young men and he missed him so damn much. Maybe if he call his son like that, he would be at least as much intelligent and kind. But hey, having a son named Stiles and had kept the sheriff’s son Jeep would be too obvious you know? So he had to think harder on it.

Then he remembered that Mieczyslaw Stilinski wasn’t the first Stiles in the family. It was the sheriff’s father. He knew that he wasn’t a good man, he knew what he had done to Noah and his mother, because he would have all about Stiles and his life archived somewhere in his brain. So he had took days of reflexion on it but what at the end it was pretty good to keep people from understand what he was doing. Stiles grand-father’s name was Elias, so he goes for Eli. Because in his maze of a brain, it was the closest he could get to « Stiles » .

Obviously at some point Noah had figured the thought process. It had help that the kid was so Stiles-like.He almost could have sworn that the boy could be his hidden grand-son if he didn’t knew that he was Derek’s son.

One day, as Derek was coming to get his kid back from the police station once again because he had obviously stolen the damn jeep. The sheriff gave back the car’s key to a jaded, ashamed and tired werewolf dad. Noah had smiled at him with simpathy and understanding. And looking at the boy siting in the jeep he told him

« I hope that the name had gifted him with what you wanted at first, because for me now he seem just as much a troublesome clumsy obsessed-with-this-jeep trouble-magnet as my boy was »Derek had raised his eyebrows at first in shock and looked at his son, let a loud sigh escaped and just answered

« Obviously it didn’t occurred to me that it was coming as a package to balanced the gifted side of it. Lucky me, you know how to deal with it. Thanks »Noah had laughed at that

« At this point you just should have called him Stiles, it could had been fun »

Derek as he opened the jeep’s door grin at him

« No, too obvious, I prefer it the way it is, just you and me knowing what it means. »

He get in and drove , trying to not smile as he looked at his son, the almost spiting image of Mieczyslaw Stiles Stilinski. This name had really gifted his son with all he wanted it to and even more.He laughed slightly as he thouht that Stiles would freak out the day he would run into his boy riding in his mother’s old jeep.

Please dont throw rocks at me, It’s was 2 in the morning and I’m in an advanced lack of sleep 🙃🙃

A fanfiction or a series (my god, a series about this) in which Eli explains (in the voiceover for the series?) just how weird his family is.

Starting with Eli's many aunts and uncles, 3/4 of whom share no blood ties with him. ( Yes, the puppy pack is part of the Hale pack. Yes, Alec was Eli's babysitter. )

( Erica and Boyd would have twins about the same age as Eli. Why would that be? I have no idea. )

( For those who love Scott/Isaac/Allison, they would have 4 children. Yes, exactly, so that 3 of them would come from duos and the last one would come into the world thanks to the magic and presence of 3 DNAs. )

(The whole pack would not live in the huge mansion that is the Stilinski-Hale mansion. Thiam and Morey would have their own place. Sheriff would have refused to move in. )

Then his cousins, of all ages, each more unusual and annoying than the last. With whom he shares the same grimaces when they learn that most of their parents have gone out with each other.

His dziadzia, who had never been angry with him for ruining his wallpaper (he had every reason to be. They were horrible drawings-) and who had taught him to lie to his tata while making him promise never to lie, understood, you little rascal, when they went to get the greasiest order in the whole fast-food restaurant. And his babcia and his abuela and his abuelo and his tias and his tios and his primos and his primas he knew only in grave form.

Finally, his dads, who look like they hate each other half the time or would kill someone if it made the other half smile. His two dads who have criminal records but brunch with the station cops once a month. His two dads who are both biologically men and who have biologically managed to have a child together.

(Eli politely asks anyone who jokes about him being his parents' little shit to fuck off. His dads told him his tata had a C-section, okay ?!)

A fanfic or series in which we discover the famous Hale Pack that has risen from the ashes and is so feared and respected. Where we discover how Eli feels so alienated from the pack he loves and cherishes, so alienated from his family. How Eli feels he's not cut out to be the next Alpha of the pack. How certain Eli is that he'll never be anything like his incredible, powerful, famous dads, no matter how many times he's told he's the spitting image of Stiles or has Derek's eyes and sourwolf face.

Eli sees himself as the boring kid in this extraordinary family, the boring offspring of a rich heir to a famous werewolf pack, a bad boy with a tragic past in his youth, a DILF today with his dad's super skills, a fair and fierce true Alpha (alive and not DEAD) and an FBI agent as sarcastic as he is intelligent, a supernatural detective in his spare time, a fearsome spark, emissary and Alpha mate. Like the good old cliché of the character with no friends but his cousins and an overpowering entourage, so beloved and popular and so much more remarkable and interesting script-wise than he is.

(Perhaps Eli never could and never will be able to shift? Perhaps being human is in part the source of his fear.)

And being the good old cliché that he is, he apparently becomes interesting when he gets superpowers. (Stiles is not at all happy that the Nemeton has chosen him to be its guardian. In fact, no one in his family seems happy. Great.)

In order for Derek to have a teenaged son, he also had to have been the father of a toddler at one point.

This means when it's time to roll out to disband a rogue hunter ring, and they get into Derek's newest, badass muscle car with the tinted windows, and Derek dons his sunglasses and says gruffly "They don't know who they're dealing with", that the moment he turns on his car, the Paw Patrol soundtrack immediately blasts from the speakers at full volume.

Or that, once in a while, the pack will hear Derek mindlessly humming a song that's gotten stuck in his head from countless repetitions every single day (because "Again, 'gen, 'gen, Dada! P'ay 'gen!"). And at some point Stiles, being fluent in memes and internet culture, is the only one to recognize the tune and ask "Wait, are you humming Baby Shark?"

And if you think Derek's control was solid before, that's NOTHING compared to the zen master level of composure he has now. When the hunters manage to capture Derek and Stiles and attempt to make Derek turn, they don't realize that, yeah, those sticks with the sonic pinging sound are loud and annoying, but have you ever had to deal with the demonic bat screeches of a 2-year-old for 4 hours that first night after he's not allowed to sleep with his pacifier anymore?

And, sure, being electrocuted loosens a werewolf's grasp on the shift a little bit, but have you ever had to hold back a shift because your child is having a complete meltdown in the middle of a Costco because his sock feels a little funny, and even though you fixed the problem, the ordeal happening at all was traumatic enough for him that it required rolling around on the ground, an additional 7 minutes of screaming, and an attempt to throw eggs out of the cart?

And the "torture" is laughable. Okay, wolfsbane makes you weak and lethargic and makes your skin burn and makes it hard to breathe and makes you throw up black goo, BUT have you ever had a random little girl throw sand in your kid's face, making him cry, and then, after telling her "No! We don't throw sand!", have to deal with an indignant mother yelling in your face because "You do NOT tell my daughter what to do! She is NOT your child and should NOT have to grow up in a world where any man can demand things from her!"?

You want to talk about torture, do you have any idea what 2-Year Sleep Regression is? Do you have any idea what it's like to wake up at 3AM to shrieking and then deal with a cranky toddler that refuses to take a nap, all of this FOR 6 WEEKS STRAIGHT?

Or how about when your 3-year-old has a tantrum because he asked for strawberries and when you give him strawberries you find out he actually meant blueberries but when you get him the blueberries, he has an even bigger tantrum because how DARE you put away the strawberries he didn't want in the first place?

There is a visible moment in which the hunters question whether or not they've made a mistake and accidentally captured two humans.

And after the two of them manage to get out of that mess and back to relative safety, Derek notices a cut on Stiles arm.

Stiles has to bite back a laugh when Derek, without even realizing he's doing it, sticks a Lightning McQueen bandaid on Stiles' cut before kissing his boo-boo better.

What if Stiles left the jeep at his dad's house when he left beacon hills indefinitely (he'd visit occasionally but he'd moved away) but had told Derek to bring the jeep into his shop and work on it. This was around the time that Eli was a little baby/toddler.

So it had been years of Derek watching Stiles drive around in this deathtrap of a jeep, held together with tuctape and will/luck. Knowing it meant the world to Stiles (and to the sheriff) and that Stiles was afraid of having it fixed fully at a car shop because maybe then it'd lose the magic and memory.

But Stiles had a little Hale in his life who had stolen his heart. And he had decided that perhaps he would gift the jeep to Eli one day, pass on how the jeep had been there for him as a teenager, saved both him and Derek time and time again.

Derek was very touched when stiles asked him to fix up the jeep. When stiles told him he'd have some years to get it done, he figured out what the end game was. And it frightened him a bit, imagining little Eli to be 16 years old one day? His little boy? Scary! And so maybe he tried to renovate/fix up the jeep as slowly as possible.

And he tried to teach Eli about cars through the jeep, which just lead to Eli becoming slightly obsessed with the blue car (something Stiles was very happy about "See,der,no one can fight the charm of Roscoe").

So why did Eli keep stealing the jeep? Why hot wire the jeep instead of making a copy of the key? Well Derek was quite certain that Stiles had taught Eli how to steal a car, probably during one of their stiles&eli weekends. Derek knew that Eli probably also knew how to get out of rope binding or handcuffs, with everything they had been through over the years, Stiles was a bit paranoid ("it's called healthy worrying, derrie").

Perhaps Eli thought that if Stiles found out that he'd return? And that because Eli kept getting into trouble that Stiles would stay and not leave after a couple of days?

(Stiles knew all about the car stealing and laughed at Derek and his dad whenever one of them called to complain. What Eli was doing was tame in comparison to his teenage rebellion. And it's not as if Eli was in danger, he knew how to drive and Derek had made the jeep quite the safe vehicle.)

And what if Stiles had decided to move back to beacon hills after Derek asked him to move in on eli's 16th. Giving stiles time to work through loose ends at work and find a way to work from beacon hills indefinitely. Maybe Derek would tell Eli to drive to the nearby airport with the jeep (very not subtle)...

What if Derek started the auto shop only because he has complicated feelings about Jeep in a romantic way/platonic way depending upon the way you see it?

Isn't he completely loaded? Why would he even need to work?

So my personal headcanon is that he did it to make the jeep work and Malia helped him once with it. She found it fun repairing the jeep. So Derek opened the Hale auto shop for her cousin and both of them started bonding through work.

Okay, so I’d completely forgotten that Stiles’ other grandfather’s name was Elias.

So, my new head canon is, he thought it would be awesome to do the same thing his mum did, an ancestral name but he wanted someone from Derek’s side and then they realised that they both had an ancestor named Elias…perfect! His dad was so pleased when he held little Eli Stilinski-Hale for the first time, who looked so much like Stiles had as a baby, and knew he’d been named for Noah’s father as well as Derek’s grandfather.

Haven't watched the new movie, mostly because I have yet to finish Teen Wolf, but I saw one (1) edit of it on TikTok and you know what?

The reason why Stiles wasn't in the movie is because hell would have broke loose if he and Eli were near each other. You literally can't have them both in the same movie, is like having two Stiles and the world is not ready for two Stiles. It can barely function with one. How the fuck even happen anyway?? Isn't Eli Derek's son or something? Man, you're raising the very thing you threatened with dead and pain a few years ago. What if he's adopted, but Derek knows he is a werewolf because he saw him shift the first time he met him, before adopting him.

What if Eli's old pack didn't treat him "good" and that's why he was afraid of Derek the first time he saw him shifted.
