One of the biggest things that makes me see Leo as trans is absolutely the size of his carapace in comparison to his brothers’.

And I’m not talking about height! I’m specifically looking at his shell here, because when you compare him to the others, particularly Donnie who is nearly the same height as Leo, it’s very clear that Leo’s carapace is much longer in proportion to the rest of his body.

Like - standing side by side, even though Donnie is shorter his carapace ends noticeably higher up than Leo’s does. And I like this not only because it really helps push the idea that Leo could very likely be trans (or intersex!), but it’s also just a fun design difference between them.

(It also lends way to future scenarios of Donnie eventually getting taller than Leo, but sitting down still has Leo being the taller one haha.)

#design subject to change but not for much longer because im almost at the point where i have to make him appear in the comic lol #asks #loz: sword of fate #also he's just ganon in sof not ganondorf! dorf as a suffix is. well it's used for villages in german according to my very brief research #but yknow japanese writers i will cut them some slack. anyway since he's the first ganon i thought removing the suffix would be appropriate #like it was added onto the name in later generations or something. you get what im saying. this makes sense #anyway design things i want to point out. the mask gets flipped after link cuts it open during a miniboss fight which serves as the first #reveal that ganon is like. his age. a kid. + by the time link sees him next he's put it back together upside down. #the flipped shiekah eye is a symbol in itself obv but the 3 dots r also supposed to sort of evoke the triforce when it gets flipped #hence why the one on top (power) is white while the others are fully filled in! #and the horns when flipped are supposed to resemble boar tusks a bit irt later incarnations lol #color symbolism in his design also--as the story goes on he becomes more generally desaturated and the hair turns bright red which becomes #his dominating color. one of the first things to go as he begins to spiral are the blue elements of his outfit bc he's losing wisdom! #anyway. i put too much thought into this LMAO <3 #skribbles

Not seeing enough about how the king was heavily implied to be a closeted homosexual who chose tradition and the crown while burying his heart/desires, making him an obvious foil to Henry, who makes the opposite decision with Alex.

“Princes cannot be homosexual” and the way he clenches his hands as he said it, he was definitely told the exact same thing when he was a much younger man.

It’s just a very layered choice and makes an interesting point about cycles of homophobia and violence, and it was the one major change that felt purposeful in the film.

AMAZING. excellent superb. i am enjoying it phenomenally #the cover however reminds me more of the 200 page or less romance comedies that are very lighthearted with very little #depth of stress. which is fine. thats also a good kind of book. #but rwrb has like... alex being the biggest bitch in it. a workaholic out of touch emotionally (but very Emotionally acting) man #prince henry and the Actual Horrificly Fucked reality of life in the spotlight. political Weight and stress of calling out poljticial issues #By Name and risking alienating the reader audience by REQUIRING them to learn to sympathize with alex who may be unlike them #and who Feels unlike those in power and who Feels half his heritage hes being estranged from with his moms situation #and then Also asking you the reader to empathize with henry in a way you have provably never had to do in real life with Anyone like him #because in real life we simply never meet someone in henrys situation #its not the polish of prince charming. its the heartwrenching pain and fear and tragedy of Being #The Symbolic Prince Charming. it is a much HEAVIER novel than its cover implies #and i like the cover and think the Pop Bright Cover made romcom readers give it a chance and likely #expanded the readership and got readers to try a novel the would not otherwise have given a chance. so marketing wise its Excellent. #but i feel like... the core Reader who would go out specifically looking for a novel Like rwrb would #see this cover and assumr the story isnt as heavy as they were looking for. #likewise i saw caseys other book cover and i hate it lol ToT i would actively avoid reading it #but becausr its Casey writing? i bet it IS as heavy and complex emotionally and Specific as i want a novel to be #its just the cover of bright pop orange and pink was not designed for Me. it was designed to appeal to a broad audience
