1. I have complex feelings for this ship bc I also really like them as just platonic shitty best friends but when I do ship them I think they're very cute together in a lowkey toxic way. 😂 What made me ship them was thinking that they're essentially the evil version of the science bros ship (Bruce and Tony) and how funny it would be at how horrified Bruce and Tony would be if these two dumbasses who are both convinced they're Bruce and Tony's arch rivals started dating. And then I actually got attached to the ship, it started off as mainly crack 😂. Another big attractor was chatting with you about your Justin and Emil bc they've got some wonderful chemistry going on in your rewrite 🤧

2. My favorite thing about the ship is how opposites attract it is lol. Since we've got smarmy, fancy, CEO asshole meeting super soldier actual (reformed) nutcase who mutated himself into a monster for fun. The opposites but then also the similarities bc at the end of the day they're both wildly insecure with enormous egos and they're both sluts for money and attention. Like I feel they'd be 10/10 conmen together once they're both out of jail 💀 But those similarities also can allow for some softer parts in the relationship too bc they understand each other better than anyone else what it means to throw your life away for a revenge fueled whim and wind up taking the fall for even the stuff that WASN'T their fault. Also definitely still not being over the people that drove them to such lengths in the first place. Like they def talk mad shit about Tony and Bruce together. It's healing 🤗

3. Unpopular opinion is probably just shipping them in general agssgshdhfhf, neither of them are very popular lmao but that's why i like them. The rare pairs are always the best 😭

Ship It

1. These two make me feral, I love them so much. 😭 The She Hulk show made me ship them bc I really enjoyed how much these two genuinely seemed to grow attached to each other. Emil seems so appreciative of Jen helping him and then at the end there's the moment he protects her from the Intelligencia guys. 🥲🥲 And then Jen similarly becomes attached to him, she takes him up on his offer to come back to his ranch anytime if she feels she needs a break from the real world and then she is legit hurt that mans has been violating his parole behind her back. 🤧 I think she wants him to be better than he is willing to currently try to be, he's working on things still 💀, which just adds another layer to their relationship. I like to think if Emil has any shot at being actually redeemed in the MCU it's going to be through how he cares about Jen which just warms my heart so much. And while mans can be an asshole he's always been nothing but kind to Jen and she absolutely deserves a guy who's going to treat her well 🥲🥲🥲

2. My favorite things about the ship are how soft it allows them both to be. And also the angle of how Bruce is gonna handle it bc him being okay with Jen defending Blonsky in court is a lot different than this dude dating his cousin 😒😒😒 🤣 But mainly for Emil and Jen I just really love the idea of a more romantic relationship being a very good thing for them both. I think IF there is a person Emil will be less selfish for in canon it's probably going to be her (unless Nadia winds up being introduced in the MCU) and I think Jen would do well with being with someone that's going to move heaven and earth for her bc in She Hulk currently she's still pretty insecure when it comes to dating due to prior shitty experiences. I want her to be loved fr fr 🥲🥲 And then again, also the funnier side of things where there's the possibility of them being a couple but on opposite sides bc there's a lot of shenanigans that could ensue from that, like at some point mans will need to get a new lawyer if he doesn't shape up 😂.

3. Unpopular opinions uhhhh probably considered so by anyone who thinks that Jen can do better than Emil, which she definitely can lmfao but again, I've not seen many people also ship this, only a handful and most people who ship it seem just as in it for the vibes as I am so I'm not sure if I have any unpopular opinions for it 😂

It's been over a week since I saw it and I still can't stop thinking about the Barbie movie. It's like I'm still in shock. No one cares but I will write out my full thoughts here under the cut.

PROS

Like everyone says, I 100% agree on the set design of Barbie Land and the costumes. They did a fantastic job! I expect they will win some awards for those categories.

I like most of the soundtrack although there's probably about three artists on it I actually know. (I feel old.)

Ryan Gosling. To me, he had the best performance out of the whole cast. Ironically, in a movie literally called "Barbie", I found myself caring for Ken more. I think that is a testament to just how good of an actor Gosling is. They butchered Ken's character (just like they did Barbie's) and wrote a really half-ass script but Gosling STILL delivered.

Weird Barbie. I'm not much of a Kate McKinnon fan but I think she did really well. I love this concept of a "weird Barbie" because it's so true to life. Of course there would be a Barbie some little girl messed up! 😂

Speaking of "old", my favorite scene was the one with Barbie on the bench next to the elderly woman. I think this movie's message could have easily been about ageism more than tHe pAtRiaRcHy...

CONS

The biggest issue for me is what they did to Barbie and Ken's relationship. They are one of the most famous couples of all time, albeit a fictional one, but I just wanted them to be in love and kiss. 😭 I'm a hopeless romantic. I am tired of the idea that a Strong Female Character™ can't have a romantic relationship with a man because it makes her "weak" or "not as cool". One thing they could have done is say of course Barbie doesn't need Ken. But she chooses Ken because she loves him. She DOES love him. (IDC what Gerwig or Robbie says. They got it wrong.)

The plot(s) are all over the place! I can't remember but I don't even think the mother-daughter part of the story even got resolved or if it did it was done in like two seconds?! I don't remember, by then, I was getting bored and restless.

There was no point to Will Ferrell and the Mattel CEOs. After the chase scene, I completely forgot about them until they randomly reappeared at the end. I'm inclined to think they were only included to be a red herring for when they cut the trailers for the movie.

I didn't like how they named everyone else "Barbie" and "Ken" in Barbie Land (Aside from Alan and Midge). I get they are saying everyone can be a Barbie or a Ken no matter what you look like. But did they not know about all the characters in Barbie's world? Skipper, Courtney, Kelly (a.k.a. Chelsea), Stacie, Christie, Francie, etc? Just seems lazy IMO.

"The Message". Don't tell me "yOu jUsT diDn't GEt iT!!!" 😑 Oh, I got "the message", all right. IDK how anyone can watch this movie and not "get it" when they might as well beat you over the head with a goddamn sledgehammer. When I was a kid, I had a Life Size Barbie. Why don't you get one of those and write "FeMiNISm!!!" all over her body, take her by the heels, wind her up like a baseball bat and beat me to death for two hours?! In hindsight, it would have saved me time and money for sure.

If you liked this aspect of the movie, all the power to ya. You are allowed to like whatever you want to like. But everyone acting like this shit was so deep and profound... ??? I'm sorry, are you kidding me?! It's about as deep as a kiddie pool. I think there are rain puddles out there deeper than this.

They could have gone about the women's empowerment message in a much better way and a lot more subtle and a lot less hateful.

Which brings me to my next point about what I didn't like.

IDK what this movie was trying to be? It had some funny moments but most of the humour was corny and flat. I've been craving an unapologetically girlie, "chick-flick" movie for a long, long time now. The kind they used to make 15-20 years ago or so. Think "Legally Blonde", "Clueless" or "13 Going on 30". Or think even further back to the 80's with "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" or "Teen Witch". What better movie to make a return to that kind of genre than with a live action ✨BARBIE✨ movie? She is the epitome of girlie-ness and femininity. But I guess that's too "problematic" now or something.

Why did only Ken sing? Don't get me wrong, he did great, but does it seem weird to anyone else why he was the only one? It seems kind of random IMO. Why didn't Barbie sing a solo? I have no idea if Robbie can sing or not but still. Again, what is this movie trying to be? It could have worked as a musical but it wasn't.... but they threw in a Ken song and dance number out of left field?

And lastly,

Margot Robbie. I HATE to say this, really I do. Because I really like her as an actress. I had so much faith and hope in her with this role. I thought she was a MUCH better choice for Barbie than Amy Schumer ever was!

Robbie looks the part of Barbie to a T. She's beautiful. But as the movie went on, I felt like she wasn't giving Barbie anymore. At least not Barbie in the way I imagine the character. It feels like she was playing a completely different character. Barbie in this movie never really helps anyone but herself. Barbie is not supposed to be an emotional manipulator but here, she is.

It's not Robbie's fault because Gerwig didn't write her character correctly. Same thing with Ken. He's a himbo, for sure, but he's not supposed to be some pathetic simp. I feel like both Robbie and Gosling were kind of wasted. They are both so talented but their characters were not written right.

So, all and all, if I had to rate the movie I'd give it a 5/10. I feel like they got some things right, some things they could have done much better, and some things they just shouldn't have done at all.

This is all just my honest thoughts and opinions. If you enjoyed the movie, I certainly don't want to take that away from you. I'm a huge fan of Barbie and I left the theater incredibly disappointed by the final product and I was SO excited for this.

i really don’t understand how anyone thought this was okay…

what gets me is that ethan sounds genuinely terrified which means that either that was written in the script and the writer somehow managed to justify ethan being terrified and playing it as a joke or it was an acting choice and george was trying to change the tone of the scene to what it should have been. not that it not being in the script would make it any better, it would be bad enough even without the fear in his voice😭

it’s funny how some of the background nurses seem to literally just be there for the male staff to flirt with. like there is absolutely no overlap between the ones we see actually working like tash and the ones who we see flirting

At first he got a bit of whiplash when you finally broke out of your shell. It was a welcome surprise of course, but it took him a bit of adjusting.

When you first make a suggestive joke with him his face gets as red as his hair. The sight was so beautiful you not so subtly took a picture to capture the moment.

To this day he asks you to delete the picture, but little does he know it’s your home screen on your phone.

Diluc is willing to stay by your side or give you some alone time when you are feeling down. Once you’re feeling better, his arms always open the moment he sees you. It’s kind of a routine now; he’s patient and willing to wait for you as long as he needs, and he welcomes you with open arms that you happily run into.

One time he was asking you which drink you’d prefer but you started talking about something completely off topic. After a bit of conversation he realized you thought he was discussing a different matter with you. He chuckles to himself before giving your forehead an endearing flick, as his lips follow to soothe the sting they leave behind. but he flicks so lightly it doesn’t even hurt in the slightest

Diluc has his own dark past so he’s not one to judge others when they’re at their worst. He’s supportive and loyal to you, waiting until you are ready to continue moving forward. He may give you a bit of a push if it seems like you need it, but otherwise he’s someone you can always rely on.

Diluc can be funny, but not in the sense you’re thinking. Sometimes he goes on long winded rants about ‘the abyss’ and how ‘their a stain upon this nation’ and it’s genuinely funny when he keeps going even after a semi-sarcastic reply from you.

He’s enthusiastic whenever you bring him something new to try. In turn, whenever he creates a new drink he’ll always ask if you’d like to be the first to taste it. If alcohol isn’t your thing, he has lots of other options as well.

After a long day it brings a smile to your face whenever you enter Diluc’s arms, his fiery passion for things can be seen in your relationship, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Oh. This tastes good. What did you put in it?” Diluc asks with interest evident in his voice. He savors the treat you’ve made for him, and as you go into detail he watches your facial expressions with rapt interest.

At some point you slowly stop talking since his eyes are basically staring into your soul. You ask him if there’s something wrong with your face, and to that he abruptly sits up.

He swiftly makes his way around the counter between the two of you, and he wordlessly lifts your chin with his thumb and finger. “No. I was just admiring you.” His simple response catches you a bit off guard. He’s not always this upfront about his feelings, and it causes your hands to get clammy and your heart to pound in your chest.

“Well, the treat I gave you isn’t the only sweet thing I have for you to try.” With that you show him the meaning behind your words with a syrupy kiss against his luscious lips.

“They’re delicious. Thank you.” Satan compliments you, and his compliment is accompanied by a sweet kiss on your cheek.

You relish the opportunity to admire him as he savors the purrfect treats you’ve made for him.

omg i haven't been in tumblr for a while D": i mean i wasn't that inactive, i logged in when i felt like it but i was not that active and interactive

so how have you been? :D have you been drinking enough water? have you been eating properly?

From my part i haven't been really well, i feel like everything is going bad instead of good, like i am not getting better but just getting worse and acting like i'm aren't. BUT luckily everything will get better :D i try to keep that mindset when i can ;;

BUT I'M NOT HERE TO COMPLAIN, MAN I AM SO MAD AT HALLOWEEN END, IT'S LIKE, I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY MINUTES PASSED AND WE DIDN'T GOT A CHANCE TO SEE MICHAEL MYERS. IN HIS OWN FUCKING MOVIE, i mean yeah corey was kinda hot but 😔 like man i wanted so bad to be horney for michael and in the end we didn't got as many scene moments to see him, AND IN THE FINAL MOMENTS HE GOT INSTANTLY KILLED, AND WHEN WE HAD THE CHANCE TO HAVE SOME SCENES HE WAS JUST GETTING BULLIED BY COREY, I JUST- i don't know dude i got so excited for the movie and i just ended up dissapointed 😭 but well, at least it entertained me :D

(Also- i got another of those weird dreams with slashers 😭 i was really short but it was about billy lenz. I remember that in the dream i woke up in my room and billy was there in a corner and i obviously started screaming (i don't know if from fear or from enthusiasm) but then he tried to kill me, and all of suddendly i grabbed an fork from under my pillow (i don't know why) and started to threaten him HAJSJJA and for some reason he also had a fork and well we started having an fork fight.
