#ask #sapphicdroid #i did look it up to fact check myself after i reblogged the post and saw the adapters #honestly when i was younger i never knew it didnt have a headphone jack #granted the only time i ever saw one in person was on the school bus with a friend #he played pokemon blue on it and i dont remember the details of all that went on during #i mightve also seen another kid on the bus play pokemon emerald. i dont remember. #however that was my first exposure to gen 3 pokemon. as a kid i only knew about Red Blue Yellow and Crystal #my brothers had Red and Blue. and so thusly i have both games now. i... dont know where my copy of Red is though. #i have a copy of Yellow from Ebay but it loses its memory sometimes. which i think is why it was put on Ebay in the first place #Crystal however? well first i knew of gen 2 through pokemon stadium 2 #we had both pokemon stadiums for the n64. or. well. still do have them. #speaking of. sure does suck to go through the gym leaders and elite 4 in those games. mostly due to how long rounds are. #emulated it a while back and i had to use the fast forward feature a lot #anyway. Crystal. somehow i got my copy from a random coat in a clothing store. just. in the pocket. #i dont know how i managed to find it. it was either in a coat my mom was looking at or i was looking through pockets... probably the former #anyway within like a week. a kid in 3rd grade stole it from me #i... think i got to the elite 4? i remember getting to the last dude with the charizard. forgive me for forgetting his name. #but like right after i had it stolen. i got on the bus and vented to my friend and he was like ''oh i have two copies of crystal'' #and then gave his second copy to me. i forget if it was on the day of or if it was the next day. #anyway that same day it got stolen again. by the same kid. that kid stole so much shit from me #he switched schools the next year so i couldnt do anything about it #i have uhhh... soul silver now. so its not that big of a deal these days #anyway thank you for the ask :) i appreciate you telling me anyway

All right so now that I’m done screaming about LWA for the moment, lemme recount what I recall of my dreams last night.

There was one that actually involved a cool kind of story that had a neat plot twist and it was actually COMPLETE and didnt cut off in the middle, but that I am saving that for myself actually, perhaps as a potential story idea one day. I remembered I liked it so much that when I woke up later I was trying to remind myself of the details so I wouldn’t forget. I think I remember most of it.

Other parts of it involved my summer camp co-workers. I always have dreams about camp this time of year and it is that time again. I remember being with some other co-workers at some track/field and we were all stretching/working out and stuff (which we dont have at the actual camp lol)

And I was looking for my favorite person Cinnamon (if you dont know about her, ya’ll can check my Cinnamon tag on my blog). And I spotted her a ways away by this stable kind of thing (which also does not exist irl). So I went over to her and I was like “hey, why are you over here when the rest of us are out there?”

And she told me “oh I got assigned a new job this summer. I’m taking care of the animals” and apparently this whole building was full of adoptable cats/dogs and she was in charge of them.

So I started going around looking at all of the animals and then this fluffy white dog somehow managed to squeeze itself out of its cage and jumped onto the floor. I grabbed it right away and called for Cinnamon who RAN OVER in a panic and took him from me and was all “Oh my gosh! We have to get you to PetCo right away!” and she packed him up in her car and left and I was like what just happened.

And then another co-worker came over and explained that the floor was super dirty so she was bringing the dog to get his paws cleaned.

ANOTHER UNRELATED DREAM

After Pokemon Go confirmed legendaries are coming next month, I had a dream about that.

Only instead of being Moltres and Entei and actual pokemon, the “legendaries” in my dream were like...

Monster Hunter beasts

Holy shit it was incredible.

I remember turning on my phone and seeing all these brand new shadows on the tracker. Like ALL these legendaries were out and about so I ran out to go find them.

And man they didn’t just show up on the phone they showed up IN REAL LIFE

Like I could see every scale every horn every part of these massive fucking dragons and monsters flying right in front of me so vividly. There were crowds of people all around playing and trying to catch them already. The monsters didn’t bother you in real life until you started engaging them on your phone.

Evidently there were special cube-like (dammit Croix) items you could collect in the game that’d help you fight the legendaries when you eventually encountered them. Like catching a lot of ghost pokemon would give you ghost cubes, and ground types would give you ground cubes and so on. 

There was a list on the phone of all the monsters and which types of pokemon and cubes you could use to best defeat/capture them.

There was one big blocky blue/green monster with huge teeth that was weak to ground/ghost and I happened to have a lot of those cubes (not a lot of fire or water or others though). So I clicked on him/selected him to fight and he turned to me. And when I selected my pokemon team they appeared in front of me, not on the phone. I remember having my Tyranitar and a Gastly. And they started battling this giant dragon. I could use the ghost cubes on my phone to weaken him irl. 

And essentially the dream entailed trying to capture all these giant monsters. There was a smaller red dragon and then a blue one with a suuuuper long neck. Just essentially an entire herd of Monster Hunter beasts. But they were all out all at once so everyone could come fight/catch them together.

To say the least, it was fuckin rad.
