Okay listen. I know it's been a long time since Taylor Swift released the banger "22", but lemme tell you, when I was 22 and that song just came out, I did not get to vibe and enjoy it to the fullest like I should've. I was working as a camp counselor making $6 an hour trying to keep children from dying in the wilderness by day, and teaching martial arts by night. I had no time to enjoy being 22. I was too busy freaking out over the wilting economy and the fact that I'd never be able to buy a house and would probably die alone.

And not too much has changed since then, but I'm kinda vibing in life nowadays tbh

Therefore, I am proposing that someone (it can be Taylor Swift if she wants) make a follow-up song called "33". It could have lyrical nods to the original "22", but could tell about that 22-year-old about a decade later now at 33 years old. We need a song for 33-year-olds to vibe to now. Doing 33-year-old things. Like going to sleep at 9pm, staying in on the weekends watching streams and ordering takeout, getting stupidly excited about buying new utensils or pillows for the house... Also I would like to propose the chorus, a fun twist of the original:

So lemme get this straight; my boy Fizzarolli lost his limbs and pretty much everything he had in a fire Blitz accidentally set, then he lost Blitz for a decade under the (misguided) impression that he did it purposefully out of jealousy and that Blitz never bothered to try to come see him or apologize (also misinformed), so he lost his limbs and his best friend for 10 years, AND he got snatched up by Mammon to be used and abused and marketed for years and had like 20 panic attacks a day because he felt he needed to be perfect and also had to deal with insane invasive fans 24/7, and now that he's finally found the strength to break free from the decades of sadness and abuse, he still needs to be on-edge because his manipulative ex-boss is absolutely gonna come for revenge some day...

Ozzie's right, Fizz needs a fuckin vacation.

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.

I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!

From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!

I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.

The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.

(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)

If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.

The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.

insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box

add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box

delete -> self explanatory

on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic

The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.

Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.
