Journey is rather mixed in terms of behavior, on one hand they are indeed rather polite, but on most says they tend to be rather snarky and riles up people with their sarcastic side comments.It only worsens if they broken up with their fiancé,they can be nice…if you pick the right time to have a simple conversation with them.

Inside the bureau they work at, Journey does at least try to be a standup person, but that all goes away if their client is talking shit while they’re having a not-so great day. However they do become sweet and affectionate when their fiancé Ariel(if not broken up)comes to get them, the PDA is sweet, albeit a tad bit horny-

While Journey continues to be a menace both in & out of work a couple of times, they’re usually rather mellow when they’re out somewhere, maybe it’s the fresh atmosphere or someone tripped and fell in some mud, either way seeing them NOT cause a ruckus is…uncharacteristic of them.

This out of the blue softness also comes with the fact they tend to be more calmer when with loved ones, or at least the ones that don’t mind the shit they’ve caused. Journey never really talks about something serious when they interact with a friend or two, but once it comes to something that NEEDS to be discussed, they’re here to listen.

Other trivia

If it’s okay, they tend to talk to their friends in a vulgar language, along with calling them nicknames with no despicable intention behind it, just for shits & giggles

Cuts their hair on their own, which is why it always looks so damn awful

Always brings an umbrella.

Did fencing during college, was decent at best but doesn’t do it a lot because work :/

Is scared of animals, like all of them, within a single meter close to them. Will run away if you chase them with one

They’re colorblind! So it’s not their fault they can’t see the massive red flags Ariel & Bea give off-/j

A part of them is aware of Ariel’s possessiveness towards them, but because of attachment issues they never really discussed it(they broke up for another reason)

Journey is actually rather easy to manipulate if you play your cards right. And they’re damn well aware of it

• Review: Love on the Brain •

Is this book basically the same plot as The Love Hypothesis?: Yes.

Did I care?: Absolutely not.

The story follows sunshiney Bee, a neuroscientist living near DC who gets the opportunity to work at NASA in Houston to design a new helmet for astronauts. She’s elated until she learns that storm-cloud-in-physical-form Levi, the man who despised her so much during their overlapping Ph.D. programs that he staunchly refused to work with her, will be her partner. When she gets to NASA, few things go the way she thought they might – including interactions with (so hot, so tall) Levi, whom she just can’t figure out.

I loved Bee and Levi so much, and, as ever, found Ali Hazelwood’s voice to be charming and hilarious and relatable (even if you aren’t a vegan STEM genius) and the best kind of fun.

That said, there is quite a bit of emotional depth here – grief and feelings of abandonment and the desire for multiple kinds of stability in addition to professional frustration – that give weight to the story and make Bee and Levi feel like whole characters.

And omg, you guys – there’s a “Let the Right One In” quip that made me shriek with delight and feel extremely seen.

So if you’re looking for a fun and steamy romance with a side Star Wars trivia and vegan doughnuts, “Love on the Brain,” will do the trick!💕

Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood Star Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3.5) Release Date: August 23, 2022 Genre: Romance Number of Pages: 352 Date Read: September 14, 2022 First Line: “Here’s my favorite piece of trivia in the whole world: Dr. Marie Sklodowska-Curie showed up to her wedding ceremony wearing her lab gown.” Favorite Quote: “‘In ancient Egypt, female corpses were kept at home until they decomposed to avoid necrophilia at the embalmer’s. Did you know that?’ ‘Now I do.’” Review: When Bee is offered a dream position working for NASA she can’t contain her excitement..until, the guy who spent all of grad school hating her turns out to be her collaborator on the project. Meanwhile, Bee is also trying to use her anonymous twitter as a voice of support for women in STEM and to highlight the unfair nature of the GRE. Okay, as always, my reviews are not spoiler free but I do try to stay vague and not give away any major details. I was a huge fan of Ali Hazelwood’s last book, The Love Hypothesis, because I really enjoy an academic setting when it comes to romance and I was excited to see that Love on the Brain was no different. I would say that I enjoyed The Love Hypothesis more, but both books deliver that same giddy, rom-com-esque feeling that I enjoy. The main romance is also very similar but Hazelwood writes the perfect brooding man + quirky girl dynamic so who can blame her! She also has a knack for writing some of the best secondary characters. I loved the main character’s research assistant Rocio! She had a great sarcastic humor and hilarious one liners (think April Ludgate from Parks and Rec) and a side romance I liked more than the main one 🤭 I also love the attention Hazelwood brought to the unfair treatment of women in STEM and the flawed system that is the GRE. I thought the main character’s twitter and the interactions with other women in her field was a refreshing break from the romance and very necessary. I liked that she had created a place for others to feel safe to vent and look to their peers for advice. I personally love to go to the Reddit page for my profession and vent and lend an ear to others so it was very relatable in that sense. Last in the things I enjoyed about this book: THE PLOT TWIST! When I tell you I was audibly screaming and yelling “WHAT?!,” it seriously took me by surprise and honestly is responsible for my rating being 3.5 stars instead of 3. Noooww, for what I didn’t like 😬 I am going to preface this by saying I AM NOT ATTRACTED TO MEN so please take everything I say with a grain of salt!! Okay, The Love Hypothesis actually had one of the best sex scenes I've read in a while but the one in Love on the Brain was nearly unbearable. I feel like everyone has certain things that are immediate turn-offs in real life sex and smut but, to stay specific to this book, I hated when he said "can I fuck you?" because I’m personally not a fan of calling sex “fucking.” (but love that he asked, we ❤️ consent 😌) There were other little things that I disliked in the sex scene, but again, probably has more to do with my lack of attraction to the male body. Aside from the sex scene, one of my major icks had to do with the constant size comparisons of their height, hands, etc... For some reason I hate when romance books are like "OMG he's so big and I'm sooo small" I just feel like it's weird and unnecessary. Lastly, Ali Hazelwood really knows how to write clueless characters. I get that there needs to be a level of miscommunication in romance because otherwise it would be over in like 50 pages but in both books I’ve read from her the female love interest seems to be unbearably dense about the situation. I mean, she’s writing about intellectual master’s and PhD holding women, so most of the time I’m just frustrated that they seem unable to connect the dots.

Fionn Hendrick-Hazelwood

Colored sketch of Fionn, Victor and Bede’s eldest kid and one of my fankids that I’m most invested in.

Their main goal in life is to be a great entertainer, making people laugh and smile and be amazed (though occasionally they don’t mind shocking/surprising/scaring people). They like to dress up in sorta old-timey kind of clothing, hence the spats and gloves (which I forgot to draw here).

They’re the eldest of the Galar trio and have proclaimed themself as the other two’s guardian, even though they’re technically only a year or two older and just as prone to getting into trouble. Despite this, they actually do try to be responsible and are pretty good at it, all things considered. They and Roy regard each other as rivals while they initially regarded Eric as ‘fragile (second) cousin must protect, but also i wanna show him how cool i am’.

I couldn't decide so I'm just going to do Teddy and Josie and I'll list 10 facts instead 😅

Josie chose her new name by combining the names of characters from her favourite childhood TV show and favourite book.

Josie isn't the only one in the relationship that doesn't go by her birthname! Teddy was born Edward Parkes. The name Parkes was Teddy's mom's surname and his dad changed it to Keating when she walked out. His grandma gave him the nickname Teddy and it stuck! He hates it when people call him Edward.

Teddy and Josie have a four year age gap. At the time of the proposal, Teddy is 30 and Josie is 26.

Teddy, Dale and Morgan were all in the same year at school, Morgan is the oldest and Teddy is the youngest of the trio.

Josie can't cook because she's never had to learn! She grew up with household staff that did all the cooking. When she ran away from home, she spent two years moving around motels and usually had instant meals or takeaways. During the time Josie lived in Chestnut Ridge before meeting Teddy, she would often have dinner at Dani's house or at the local bar.

Teddy was taught to play guitar by his dad. He started writing songs when he was 13 but has never wanted to be a professional musician, preferring instead to work outdoors and with horses.

Josie is an excellent violin player, but she hasn't played since she left home.

Josie really wanted to go to university but didn't get the chance. She would have studied communications at Britechester and got a job as a charity organiser. Most likely an animal charity!

Teddy's favourite things about Josie are her hair, how caring she is and how supportive she is of his plans for their ranch.
