Angels bled, it seems, and it never stopped.

Grasping onto whatever remained of her own limb, she carried herself ( with her flock ) back into the warmth of Heaven. The adrenaline of battle wore out somewhere between the sobering realization of losing Adam and the steady, even paced flight back into sanctuary. The pain of her grief outweighed the pain of gaining a phantom limb, which served as the only force walking her legs to Emily and Sera's abode.

Under standard protocol, she would never come here. It was tacky to skip the chain to the top and expect pity, but her judgement was eluding her; an injured soul grasping at tattered ends of a lick of sympathy. A tearful eye she would never get back at the barracks.

"I did," she replied, voice thick and raw from shouting.

Emily's fingers were gentle ( daresay, inviting ) yet Lute flinched whenever the woven cloth grated over raw flesh.

Lute sat in stark silence, listening to the scratch and stretch of fabric before her thoughts caught up to her and she managed a solemn," Adam's dead."

Lucifer was shocked when he heard his first loves voice, his shaky hand reaching out and touching her own hands, knowing this could be another mind trick his brain was playing on him but when he actually felt the heat of her flesh against his finger tips, he knew it was real and within moments he was up off the floor and his arms were wrapped tightly around her. husk had promised a date, and a date he shall provide. it wasn't quite the candle-lit steak dinner he might've taken her on decades ago, but a stroll through cannibal town was━ in it's own special way━ relaxing. in one hand was a basket, that he had carefully filled with a variety of treats they'd both enjoy, the best bottle of wine he could find in his provided supplies, and a blanket folded up under the handle. in his other hand ? why, rosie's hand, of course.

            ❝ you did a great job with this place, rosie. could almost assume it wasn't filled to brim with cannibals, ❞ husk quipped, a smirk across his furry face. it was obvious he didn't actually care about the nature of the people living here, but that wouldn't stop the teasing.

strolling into the park, husk eased into taking the lead. he might not be as familiar with the way to, but he could very easily see into the park to find the perfect spot. and he did, right under the shade of a tree. he was quick to lay out the blanket, set the basket down, and then hold out a hand to help her settle down.

Brows furrowing in thought he’s soon pulled out of them as a knot she tugs on has him gently swatting her knee as he gives her a grumpy look.

Talk about no party manners, yeesh. No doubt some lowlife sinner, you really couldn't expect much from that type most of the time.

"Thanks, Kiki babe~" He purred, gently setting her down and briefly snapping his fingers in someone's face, getting their attention and kissing them stupid for a moment before pulling back "Go get us a couple drinks, yeah sweetheart~?" He murmured against their lips before sending the poor fellah on their way. Incubus magic was fun like that when the target already had lowered inhibitions and a personal weakness for exactly the kind of guy he is.

⚔ "Reporting in sir." A familiar voice spoke up from behind Adam, his lieutenant standing behind them as their hand lowers and moves to lock her arms behind their back. She doesn't speak for a moment before letting out a soft sigh, her shoulders sagging a bit. "...I'm sorry. We... we weren't able to locate them. We've searched everywhere that we could... both here in Heaven... and... down there."

She keeps from hissing, albeit the venom is evident in her voice. Regardless, she shakes her head before focusing their gaze back on Adam's back. "But we won't stop looking for them. I- I won't stop looking for them." (lol guess who said what they weren't going to do but did- it's apple/entitytcken)

The normally wise cracking Exorcist was too quiet....an extremely bad sign. The rage coming off of him was hotter than any fire Hell could muster, the claws tipping his gloves digging in so deep that they damaged the desk he sat at.

He wanted to rip and tear apart EVERYONE in that forsaken PIT. But rage was an easier emotion than what he truly felt....grief. He hated this feeling....he never had grief or regrets or anything!

But that wasn't true.....not when it came to Cain, Abel and Seth. The three bundles of joy that had brought him indescribable happiness long ago.

A happiness now dead in him.

His claws softened at the memories, more determined than ever that his girls find his sons. He gave Lute his customary grin, allowing a feeling of darkness to wash over him.

" If you have to fuck some skulls.....better bring the biggest fucking cactus we got."

He didn't doubt for a second that Lute was going to find his kids. And if that bitch Sera pissed and moaned about their cover being blown....well,consider this HIS executive order.

He quickly grabbed one of his holy manuscripts and wrote something, folding it up and handing it to Lute.

" If those CUNTS down there try to be piss babies, show them this. It's my executive order for you to get in Hell.

And if that doesn't work....carrot and stick, babe. Carrot and stick."

🥀A small little laugh left her before a small smile graced her lips. She lightly picked up her teacup before taking a small sip and humming lightly. "Oh no, not at all my dearest. Of course, we still are. I'm merely reminiscing on the old days."

"Ah yes, the old days, a much simpler time." He said with a small statically laugh. His life had never been simple, and truthfully, he liked it that way. It made it more exciting, but he also enjoyed times like this where he could relax with someone he could call a friend, someone he could trust. "And now here we are overlords, who would have known."

ㅤ-` 👻 ´- 【  Danny eventually realized the orders of Heaven and Hell would be fighting for his soul; to have him, a half ghost & half human, both in the land of the living and the deceased, fight their battles and ongoing war against one another. Despite his good nature, Danny was still a sinner (and still very much living) and he couldn't stay in Heaven— Sera made that very clear. He could visit; he was the exception to the rules because of his rare halfa status. 

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ—And the same thing applied in Hell, when Lucifer was trying to figure out how best to go about such a situation with someone who was still technically ALIVE walking around within his realm.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤWhen it was time for Danny to leave Heaven, at least for now, he knew he'd feel the pang of sadness when he had to part ways with Emily, a younger seraphim who's kindness and welcoming nature stole his heart.  ❝ Tell Sera not to make me wait so long to come back, next time! ❞ Danny light-heartedly joked, but there was some truth in his words. He didn't want to leave. Who would WANT to leave Heaven ??

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ  He looked back at her quietly with a soft smile, gripping her hands tightly for a brief second. His blue eyes widened at the peck of her lips against his, startling him and erasing carefully thought-up words he had in mind for his departure. But he gathered enough to simply say, ❝ ...I'm..I'm gonna miss you, too, Em, ❞ Then proceeded to lightly giggle at her wings fluffing up and outwards from her small act of boldness from the sudden kiss. ❝ I'll see you again. I promise. ❞
