i wanted to make an alternate more canon-compliant butterfly Howdy... similar but Different! the wings were a pain in my ass!

#tried to keep the basic vibes of the og look #incorporate the eyespots and all that #i just wanted to do this since the og look bothers me! #it was made for an au and so i leaned more towards a realistic butterfly look #this was a fun challenge! #i lied i hated it. coloring this made me want to toss my tablet in the trash #getting the wings to mesh.... So I finished this portrait a few days ago and even though I very much didn't like the pencils I used I think it came out pretty neat 🙂

#my art #derwent coloursoft #i tried giving them their best shot by using an alcohol marker base and odorless mineral spirits #but the grainy crayon look the pencils give was inevitable #and turns out they're very water soluble even though they're not supposed to be 😅 #so i think all the colors got diluted when i sprayed it with a fixative #as an artist grade pencil i expected different #dont hate em im just disappointed #but on the bright side i think my first attempt at the blur effect was a success

Finally finished the Scam drawing (it is a gift and the person it is for knows >:] )

I relisened to episode 33 while drawing this and god is Hermie suiciadal i did not remember that (i got all the jokes this time tho so yay me!) And i DID NOT remember Link saying he had dreams about killing his dad for like a whole summer?!?! Like excuse me, what a super wierd thing to say out of nowhere (yes that is a refrence)??? Anyway this was kinda nightmare (i only discovered after doing the lineart for it that i had stabilizer off) and i didnt really wanna color it cause scam is always a mess in that regard to me (i dislike choosing pallets okay?) but i finally got thru it, hope you guys like it.
