My boots. I’ve had them forever and I don’t own any other shoes, apart from some runners that are still practically brand new bc I never wear them. XD

Okay so normally when I’m awake at 3AM it’s one of 3 scenarios: 1) I got fixated on something and don’t know how much time has passed, or 2) my insomnia has flared up yet again and I am this close to having a mental breakdown because I’m so tired, or 3) I got overtired and now act pretty much drunk and have too much energy to go to sleep. One time I sent Enna three separate rambly stupid asks about her OCs and I was so tired that the next morning I remembered I sent them but I couldn’t remember anything I said. She was super sweet about it. The end. X’D

My Dad. We both love the stars. We were also talking about Pokemon and DND. XD

I don’t particularly like it, I prefer just downloading songs now. Mainly because I don’t like a lot of songs from the same band and buying a whole CD or record just for ONE song that I like on it is… meh. XD The last one I bought was an Ed Sheeran CD and it was for my mum.

I got my Dad a One Direction calendar once. We both hated One Direction. (When the cashier gave 12-year-old me that kind of ‘stupid teenaged girl in love with a boy band’ look I stared right back at her and told her with a straight face we were going to light it on fire. I’ve never seen anyone look so pleasantly surprised in my entire life.) My Dad loooved it. X’DI asked my Dad for a toothpick a week before my birthday once and he didn’t have one. Guess what my “present” was that year. Guess. XD

I used to. But then I used up all my second chances on people who didn’t deserve them. Normally if somebody really seriously hurts me, I give them one more chance and make it very clear for them to please not do that particular thing again. Everyone makes mistakes, I get that. But if they do that exact same thing again, I’m normally gone. I’m done with waiting around and getting hurt over and over just to “be a good friend.” That’s not being a friend, that’s being a doormat/punching bag.

1. Favorite Game

Super Danganronpa 2, no question... I would die for that game. Best characters and best story, no question. AND THE PLOT TWISTS??? amazin

3. Favorite Antagonistic Character

I’m not exactly, 100% sure what this means. Mastermind characters (Izuru, Junko, Mukuro, etc) or the Foils (Togami, Komaeda, and Kokichi)? In any case, I love Junko the most out of any mastermind character ever (Tsumugi is... Probably my least favorite sorry to her fans) and Komaeda will probably always be one of the best written characters in the Danganronpa franchise who offered so much more to the obnoxious foil along with the BEST trial of Danganronpa: (2-5).

5. Best Girl?

Unfair question, okay? I love (almost) all the girls! My favorite of all time is Ruruka Andou, though followed closely by Sonia Nevermind, Mikan Tsumiki, and Ryoko Otonashi

7. Favorite Class Trial from All of the Games?

2-5. That trial is SUCH a journey and I loved every second of it. Except for the fact that it just gives people a reason to cry that Chiaki was too pure and didn’t deserve to die.

9. Least Favorite Class Trial?

Hmm... I’m gonna say 3-3. If ONLY for the fact that there was such a missed opportunity with two killers in one trial and that Kiyo could have had to stay with the rest of the students freely despite committing murder! Otherwise, it was just kind of weird and the motive was absolutely bizarre.

11. Favorite Cast?

DR2 has my favorites but also my least favorites. I love Sonia, Mikan, Peko, Mahiru, Gundham, Twogami, Fuyuhiko, Komaeda... But I hate Chiaki, Hiyoko, and Teruteru. Overall though, has my favorite characters of any of the games (or other media)

13. What’s your opinion on the Danganronpa 3 anime?

Oooh boy. Okay so Despair Side was a literal, actual train wreck. From advertising the “prequel” of DR2 and then having the anime be fanservicey, random nonsense which retconned both how the class became despairs and that Chiaki was a person before being an AI to having many episodes which were not even focused on the DR2 cast but instead perfect human Chiaki and how sad it was that she got killed :((( Also Twilight Case got just... Ruined because they made Sato be the “true villain” while Natsumi isn’t to blame at all which wasn’t the case in 2-2 and made the whole thing just... Stupid. It also made Chisa, someone with a lot of potential, a Mary-Sue teacher who was obnoxious to watch and everyone loved her for no reason (just like Chiaki).

Future Side was stupid but much more enjoyable in my opinion because at least the characters acted like themselves. The only thing I consider canon about this entire anime series (including Despair side) is the new characters introduced. I love you Ruruka.

15. Your absolute OTP?

I would be dead without Sondam. Ruruka/Izayoi is also great though

17. Do you have an OT3? Which one?

Not really, but if I did, it would probably be Fujisaki x Oowada x Ishimaru because I like both Fujisaki x Oowada and Oowada x Ishimaru though Fujisaki x Ishimaru isn’t really... anything to me...

19. Who do you think is an underrated character?

DEFINITELY Ruruka. All I hear about her is that she’s a bitch and the worst. I really disagree and think people give her way too much crap because they think Seiko is just a precious girl who did nothing wrong (though I do like Seiko, don’t get me wrong).

21. Favorite voice actor?

Oh my gosh, no question, honestly! Natalie Hoover, English voice of Sonia. She is the SWEETEST person! My old friend (hate them now lol) got her to sing me happy birthday in Sonia’s voice for my birthday! I couldn’t believe it but she was just amazing.

23. Favorite Mascot?

Haha, that’s such an unfair question! Monokuma, no question. He’s just the best and he’s a staple of Danganronpa. The others don’t have a chance besides maybe Monomi!

25. Least Favorite Mascot?

All the Monokubs. Period. I hated every scene with them and just wanted them to shut up. Sorry but I just couldn’t stand them! Monodam and Monotaro were the least hateable though but they were all kind of a package deal.

27. Least Favorite Execution?

Mikan’s. Forgettable, stupid, and she wasn’t even herself when she died.

29. Which character should have survived in your opinion?

Ruruka because she just lost everything and had so much room to grow and become more self-reliant and atone for her mistakes. Also because it made the whole Class 76 arc kind of pointless? They did the same thing with Ishimaru and I believe he should have survived as well.

31. Is there a character you think who shouldn’t have survived but did?

That’s... Kind of an awful question LOL but I don’t think any V3 characters should have survived because it honestly skewed the message. I’m happy that Maki is alive, of course, but everything in the last trial was kind of just ignored.

33. Character with the best clothing?

Hmm... Probably Chiaki, honestly. The backpack and the hoodie are super cute. She has one of the best designs in the game but she just doesn’t have enough depth for me to enjoy her character.

35. A character who should’ve got more character development?

Just one? Let me list out a few LOL. Mikan, Sonia, Mahiru, Saionji, Kaede, Tenko, Miu, Kirumi, Hoshi. Characters who needed to get character development at all: Chiaki, Chisa.

37. Favorite Minor Character?

Would Ryoko count? Ryoko. If not, I rather like Taehime Uozumi and she’s pretty minor LOL

39. Smartest Murder Plan?

Mikan’s original Ibuki murder. Unfortunate that Saionji happened to walk in.

41. Person you’ve never expected to become a culprit but they became? (Doesn’t include Chiaki)

To be honest, I didn’t think Celes would become a blackened because she was just so... Obvious? Like, when you talk to Celes, she just kind of has a typical murderess look to her AND she was the one who designed a bunch of safety rules.

43. Describe Monaca Towa in 3 words!

Dorky manipulative follower

45. Unpopular Opinion?

Chiaki is an underdeveloped character and was literally made in the image of Kodaka’s perfect woman so that fanboys could have a perfect waifu to jerk off to.

47. A headcanon you have about a character?

Mikan and the Imposter are really really good friends and Mikan learns to hang out with nicer people and forgive herself and get better.

49. Favorite Mini-Game?

Panic-Talk Action! Good stuff

51. Character you thought you were gonna dislike but loved in the end?

Sonia Nevermind. Her introduction is tasteless and gross (because of Teruteru) so when I met her, I thought she was just going to be an idiot who got into situations that made me cringe. I really didn’t even like her until around Chapter 3-4.

53. Favorite Game End?

Danganronpa 1 because of how much mystery there was surrounding the outside world and whether anything Junko said was true and I didn’t know how they were going to survive out there or what they’d do!

55. Favorite love hotel scene?

Kirumi’s gave her more depth and Kaito’s was just so Kaito that I enjoyed it a lot. So they’re tied imo.

57. Character who should’ve lived longer?

Kaede. No question. She had so much potential and she seemed like such a strong interesting person with so much chemistry with the other characters. Also I like Komaru but I was hoping this female protagonist would have much less fanservice...

59. Favorite moment?

The end of trial 2-2. Peko and Fuyuhiko finally being able to come to an understanding of what they thing of each other and Fuyuhiko finally being able to get through to Peko that he loves her as a person, not as his “servant” was actually heart-breaking and hands-down my favorite moment of the series.

Uh... I’ll just go with the thoughts I had when everyone thought the v3 crew were the kids of the other survivors.

65. Who did you never expect to die but they died?

Saionji. I didn’t like her so I thought she would live forever. Chiaki as well because she’s the sweet angel but I was happy they had the guts to kill her off.

67. Which character would you never want to meet in real life?

Just one??? Junko for OBVIOUS REASONS such as I don’t want her to exist in real life at all.

69. Choose one character which you would take with you on a trip.

It’s between Sonia and Mikan... Sonia deserves to see all around the world in an environment that isn’t constrained so she can enjoy it. And Mikan deserves to go on a trip with friends and be happy :)

71. Character you can relate to?

Ruruka, which is probably why I like her so much. Ruruka has a lot of paranoia and is pretty distant from people but craves love and attention which sounds a lot like me. She also shares my birthday! November 20th!

73. Character who deserved better?

Mikan. Horrible, awful backstory and desperation to not be neglected is heartbreaking enough but then people go and see 2-3 and think she’s a lunatic when ANY CHARACTER would have acted the exact same way. They just didn’t see them do it so Mikan’s the crazy one.

75. Describe Gonta Gokuhara in 3 words!

Pure but easily-manipulated

77. What do you think of the fandom?

There’s three sides I see: Really sweet and kind who have discussions but not arguments about characters and plot points, people who would defend their favorite character and opinions violently even when the other person is being civilized and not trying to start anything, and the ones who just want fanservice of the sexy big-boobed women. And I only like the foremost option.

79. Which character has the cutest design?

Chiaki. The best design in all of Danganronpa imo. The second would probably be Chihiro.

81. Could you be the Ultimate Lucky Student?

I’m pretty lucky but honestly? My boyfriend blows me out of the park in terms of luck so I’d say probably not. He could be though.

83. Least Favorite Chapter?

EVERY SINGLE 3RD CHAPTER. Killed off Celes in 1-3, my favorite character in DR1. Killed off Mikan in 2-3, one of my favorites of all time. Killed off Tenko in 3-3, my favorite girl (along with Maki and Kaede) in V3. They’re also very poorly written. Celes’s acting is atrocious, Fuyuhiko’s death was replaced with Saionji so her murder weapon wasn’t even talked about in the trial, and Kiyo so obviously killed Tenko it wasn’t even funny.

85. Could you be a Dangan Protag? Why?

I mean... I think anyone could be. Kodaka even says he tries to write the protag as though they could be anyone else (though I think he does a bad job there). I think I would be super scared and paranoid so I don’t know how great of one I would be but... Yeah.

87. Describe Peko Pekoyama in 3 words!

Lovestruck loyal awesome

89. Least favorite Danganronpa 3 character?

Chisa. I despise Chisa so much I couldn’t even tell you. She has a great design but she’s basically an older Chiaki without the video games. Perfect motherly woman with the biggest boobs and skinniest waist who excels at all she does and gets tortured through no fault of her own because she was just trying to save others aw :( Characteristics? Loves Munakata and is a motherly figure who everyone loves and can do no wrong unless she’s brainwashed to.

91. What do you think of Monokuma?

A fantastic mascot and really funny character himself! Cold-blooded but also hilarious.

93. Did you like the Monokubs?

No. Next question.

95. What do you think of Gundham Tanaka?

He was a great character! He was funny and charming and didn’t get super repetitive. I also think his past and the reasons for why he acts the way he does is spectacular but then again EVERY backstory in DR2 is fantastic.

97. Overrated ship which is your NOTP?

Chiaki x anyone (mainly Hajime or Mikan). I just... Don’t like Chiaki and seeing her with characters I consider actually good is... Bleh to me.

99. Your absolute NOTP?

Ruruka x Seiko. I hate that ship so much.

Mikan x Saionji. Don’t ship people with their abusers please...

Celes x Hifumi. She lied about being raped to get him to kill someone. Let’s not like this ship.

Mahiru x Saionji. Because I’m tired of Mahiru HAVING to be around Saionji and not being allowed to be her own character.

Mikan x Ibuki. Sexualizing Mikan? That’s ship material!

I actually answered a similar question a while ago! But I can’t find it so I guess to sum it up I mostly think at some point it’d just become something both of them have talked about throught the years enough times that by then it’ll just be something they are gonna do, sooner or later, and when it’ll happen it’ll be more like “we have a stable income and a house and a dog and a cat and are p much already married we should really do this already” - in a scenario like that either of the two works, for me haha

Thank you so much for liking my kids!!!! ;O; and sadly I can’t tell you too much about them cause their story is a bit still up in the air as far as details go, but in general they used to be best friends back when they were kids, then the accident that gave Leo his scars happened and for reason they lost track of each other for a long while - they met again recently, tho! Leo’s been in love with Max since they were babies and being able to talk to him and interact with him again makes him incredibly happy/mushy/soft but also absurdly and unreasonably overprotective since he’s really, really scared of losing him again - Max… because of plot-related reasons hasn’t realized that Leo is the kid he used to know back when he was super young, so his falling in love with him happens as the story progresses. He finds the overprotectiveness silly and unecessary, but he doesn’t exactly mind it? He has a feeling it helps Leo more than it helps him, so he lets him do his thing. All in all, maybe Max takes more care of Leo than Leo of Max. Welp, their story is kind of a mess haha

PRECONCERT

I finally managed to get tickets, but I already bought expensive tickets on stubhub I had to sell at the venue on Saturday ;;; But first I had to go to Korean School, but I had a fever and was feeling so sick (I still am...) When we arrived at the venue, it was SO CROWDY?????!!!!! there were a lot of fans and the weather was so hot too wow :o Anyways I still managed to sell my tickets and made two armys really happy <3

In the venue I was by myself and made a new friend and we talked so much! They were playing MVs and I couldn't wait any longer ;; My view for the stage was amazing too! I could see everything really well and I`was pretty close too :D

Note: I didn't film everything, I was only holding my phone at some songs at some parts, Idk how I remember everything so clearly, but they mean so much to me so probably my mind wanted to remember everything ;;

CONCERT They started Idol with lots of fireworks, am I really seeing bangtan? I couldn't believe my eyes AT ALL. The fan chants were amazing too, in my fancams Im screaming a lot AHAHHA but oh my god..... I still cant believe I saw bangtan!!! I also wanted to say they talked Dutch a lot (Namjoon: Aangenaam Kennis te maken, Jungkook: Geniet van de Show and I cant remember what the others said). And then they did the Save me + im fine and really save me and im NOT fine. it was so good SKFJKSDJFS Im fine is one of my favourite songs of ANSWER and I JUST SAW IT LIVE TOO?! And next up was Magic Shop, which is such a beautiful song. Especially singing ‘’I show you’’ to bangtan made me really teary and the precious VMIN moments too <3 I also want to say I've never seen any live performances (except the old songs, medley, mic drop, anpanman, im fine and idol)! Now Jhope and Jungkook were about to have their solo, and the dance moves in just dance of JHOPE. I need.... air, he is so good ;;;; Jungkook was still hurt and was doing Euphoria while sitting (he also did lots of choreos on the chair). And he had such a beautiful smile at the ‘high note parts’ it made me so weak and soft ;u; And I expected this song, but then I didn't expect it either, but this was another version of I NEED U and they were all wearing white and lowkey were looking like the most beautiful angels and human beings ive ever seen ;; We had to rap yoongis part too! and tHEN SJSKFJKSJ RUN RUN!!!! RUNN CAME!!!! IM SOBBING, I LOVE RUN SO MUCH?!!!! And now Serendipity was next :’) this was the most cutest, adorable, yet beautiful and so jimin performance I have EVER SEEN. He was playing with bubbles, doing a smooth choreo and smiling/giggling a lot, but the heartbeat he did? My heartbeat was total flat line at that POINT because that was TOOO MUCH JIMINess. Next up was our president: Kim Namjoon, he had so much fun performing and I did the fan chants so loudly ;; DNAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! I know I say I dont like DNA a lot, but the moment I heard the flute I screamed the fan chants so loudly and since ive been screaming for more than an hour too: I was losing my voice. BUT FIRST OF ALL, IS KING TAEHYUNG LOOKING AT JHOPE WHILE DANCING (INSTEAD OF THEIR BACKS ON EACHOTHER), THEN HE IS HOLDING JUNGKOOK WHILE SINGING? EXCUSE ME SIR.

JIMIN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION So during this MC, the screen behind turned into a Jimin screen and it said In dutch ‘’My Angel and my world’’ and jimin is indeed our angel and our world! he was so happy and started running towards the main stage (they were on the extended stage) and he went on his knees and said things like thank you!!! I love you!! and this is my best birthday and wont forget it either!! (things like that) and the member started running (EVEN INJURED JUNGKOOK!) towards him too and hugging him ;; We all sang happy birthday to him!

Medley and then the amazing medley! they started with Boys with Fun (taehyung didn't choreo his dance :( ) but it was nevertheless really amazing! Jungkook was doing lots of choreos on the chair during this medley! During Attack on Bangtan; Jimin was sitting on the floor and looking at Jungkook and both had such a beautiful smile ;; And it was so quiet and suddenly taehyung screamed MAKE SOOMEEEEE NOOOISE and you heard a loud ‘’Bultaoreune’’ and [closed] they did the 3:33 [username himenation more closed]. their energy was mind-blowing! Especially Jimins! and suddenLY BAEPSAE CAME AN I REALY LOVE THIS SONG (they were A LOT less wild and less hoe-ing than in USA, they did baepsae how they always did it lol). but everyone jumped away from the stage to give Jhope is part anD DAMN JHOOOOOPEEEE. After BAEPSAE they dID DOPE GUYS!!!!!!!! and jungkook did the choreo while sitting, oh god I love bts so much man

Concert part 2 After DOPE they did AIRPLANE PT 2. And I havent mentioned yet how gorgeous they looked, but especially Jin! He was wearing this oversized holographic-ish shirt but looked so amazing and the namjin part [ooof], jin also accidentally exposed his abs lol (Issa win for the kimseokjinstans), but also the yoongmin part, the dance EVERYTHING!

And... singularity came, guys.... taehyung is my bias, but he wrecked me so much this whole concert, ive been sobbing man, this man is so perfect ;; the way he sings it, his voice, dance, aura, his visuals, all A+ After singularity they did the rock version of Fake Love and they were wearing this black outfit, with lots of mesh, leather etc They looked so OOF. But the funniest part was everyone chanting I DONT KNOW NAN MOLLA (its not even part of the fanchant HAAHHA). and then finally! MR YOONGIS SOLO! MY FAV RAPPERS SOLO! He was on a table, but he was performing like he was on a seesaw (the meaning of the song is past-present though) but IT WAS SO GOOD!!! and now we were about to go emo, because jin started his solo on a piano ;; his mic didn't work properly in the beginning so the fans started to sing for him, but after one-two sentences he got his mic back and he continued and the song was so beautiful I got so teary ;; And then we had the truth untold, in other words the superior song by the vocal line ever. It was.... so...... beautiful.......... taehyung and jimin both changed their notes, which made this song more memorable. Jimin was crying though (and I think taehyung a bit too) it gave the performance such an amazing touch; how they were able to sing with such emotions. Jungkooks mic didn't work In the beginning either, so we sang for him! I was such a mess I was feeling so emotional ;;;;;;;;; im so glad TEAR was up next because rapline POPPED OFF AND CAME FOR OUR WIGS AND EVERYONE. IT WAS SO GOOD! The whole venue turned black, with greenlights and laser OH GOD and oh my god oh my god the raps oh my god. And now MIC DROP REMIX CAME UP INCLUDING THE DANCE BREAK KJFKSJDKSJKFSJJFKS jungkook didn't participate but wow THIS SONG AND THE FANCHANTS??!! THE Bodyrolls were so cool, taehyung came for my wig!

ENCORE They all came in blue pants and their white t-shirt. Jimin also had a cap on! they all looked so handsome omg (when do they not!?) But when they sung SO WHAT, I burst into tears because I realised it was about to end ;; Jin was being very very very wild with a towel, did the shoot dance with jungkook (yes he tried to!!!) jin and taehyung did their part again, and taehyung was wearing an orange hairband (on purpose) and playing with it ;^; During anpanman taehyung was holding jungkook and singing his part, then jin came running towards jungkook and was dancing very wildly he fell on the grOUND KFJKFSKJ also our president came to jungkook too and pat his shoulders ;;; jimin gave his cap to jungkook OOOF SO MANY INTERACTIONS!!!!! and lastly... LOVE MYSELF, I cried so hard, during this song I couldn't even breathe. its one of the most beautiful songs ive ever heard and hearing those voice and message coming from bangtan really made me cry. They mean so much to me. The VMIN part had me on the floor, I couldn't handle it anymore and my friend started hugging me :(

LAST MC Yoongi said he loved Amsterdam a lot and it was so far one of the best concerts they ever had. We were so loud! They also admitted they wanted to come here last year, but it got cancelled and they feel sorry they couldn't do a 2nd date here, but theyre coming back next year! Jhope also talked how he was sightseeing with taehyung and jungkook talked that he was thinking about things a lot lately. Jimin was being the cutie again and was copying fans, but he called us his presents too :(( Jin also talked dutch but I couldn't really understand HAHAH but then Jhope wanted say goodbye (doei) and he kept saying DOEI, DOEIDOEI, DDDDOEEII, DOEIDOEIDOEI, DOEEEEEII, DDDDOEEEI and made it sound like a sound effect and bangtan followed and they were laughing so much :’)

Jiminbar (a fansite) turned zing into jimin by advertising his birthday!! ooof the banner and the whole venue looked GREAT!

I really loved the concert so much, and I miss them so much. I cant wait to see them again :(( theyre such great human beings, bless them T_T They know how to perform! Their vocals and dance moves are a whole another level, and if you think they sound good on CD? bish get ready for hearing it live, because it sounds so much better!!!! Im going to miss them so much, but thank you Jin, Yoongi, Namjoon, Jhope, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook for being in my life, changing it for the better, cheering me up, having good music and being such great humble human beings <3 I love you guys so much. End of the Year Survey - 2016

1. What did you do in 2016 that you’d never done before?

Started my first real grown-up job, got engaged to a wonderful human, brought home the cutest corgi baby in all the world, moved into a townhouse, cut down our own christmas tree, and turned twenty-six! Whew! Big year!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Last year, I resolved to: Be kinder and less judgmental towards those I love (definite A for effort). Drink more water (lol) (still workin’ on this one). Write in my One Sentence Journal every night (oops, can’t find it). Dance in my kitchen (A+). Make friends with people I connect with (still searching!). Find a great job and grow confident in my work (first part, yes! second part, in progress). Feel good about how I look more and more of the time, be unafraid to be in photos, and spend less time thinking about it (forever resolution maybe?).

Of course I’m making more for next year--I can’t resist! I hope to:

+Spend more time outside +Have an unbelievably happy wedding to the love of my life and start a strong, joyful marriage +Work on saving and budgeting for the future +Snuggle my dog and loved ones more often +Feel less overwhelmed with adulthood, specifically the whole full-time job situation +Work toward a place of peace with my self-image

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? 

Weirdly not that I can think of?

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Universe.

5. What countries did you visit?

I stayed home.

6. What would you like to have in 2017 that you lacked in 2016?

Oh gosh, but I’ve got so much! I suppose I’d like to have more comfort in my work environment, more strength and courage, and a (super great!) wedding.

7. What dates from 2016 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

February 22: the first day of my job as legal counsel at Mercy.

April 16: the day Luke and I went for a hike at Squire point and came home ENGAGED! Magical!

May 15: my birthday and a day visiting Sutliff Cider Company--our future wedding venue--with both of our parents.

June 18: the day we brought our love, Sebastian, home!

October 31: halloween evening spent drinking cocktails on our tiny porch and handing out candy together.

November 8: the election with its heartbreaking results.

December 24: christmas eve at the O’Brien’s with my parents celebrating with snacks, drinks, and a heated/hilarious game of Trivial Pursuit.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Definitely getting hired as in-house legal counsel and succeeding (I hope!) in that role throughout the year. I was up against 30+ other people and had no real work experience, but I was chosen and I’ve learned a grown a ton in my job so far. I’m still working on gaining confidence and comfort in my work, but it’s been a great achievement.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Becoming overwhelmed with the giant lifestyle change that is working a full-time job and feeling like I’m barely keeping my head above water sometimes.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Not really, aside from a few colds and un-fun headaches. It’s been a healthy year!

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Our kitchen table and its teal blue chairs. They make our house a home and I adore looking at them.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Luke, my sweet boy. Momma, Dad, and Jake, my #1s. Hillary Clinton. Seth Meyers.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Donald Trump, et al.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Purchasing a puppy. Rent. Amazon/Target. (ugh)

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Getting a job!!

Being engaged!!!

I’ve gotten to know my coworkers, but otherwise it’s an emotional work in progress!

Yes! In July we took a vacation to Bemidji, Minnesota for Luke’s dad’s family reunion. We drove for 8 hours and stayed in a tiny, un-air conditioned cabin with Luke’s parents, sister and her husband, and the 4 year old twins. We fished, grilled, cuddled in the world’s most uncomfortable bed, drank unsweetened coffee, went to the family reunion, and I got to hang with my future in-laws in my pajamas. The weather was a bit rough and stormy and the drive was long, but I’ll always remember that trip fondly.

19. What do you wish you had done (more and less) of?

More optimism and exercise. Less negativity and distraction.

20. How did you spend the holidays?

Luke and I spent Thanksgiving at my parent’s home with my mom’s family. Jake and Susie were home too! And Sarah came with her brood of children! I brought cinnamon butter, green bean casserole, and oreo-cookie dough-brownies. It was actually a nice and peaceful day! We ended it playing board games and it was a blast. Then, on Friday, we did Thanksgiving at the O’Brien’s. I made corn casserole. It was filled with yummy food, a walk in the woods, and playing a game of “pie face” with the twins.

Jake came home for a few days before Christmas and it was super fun to spend time with him, but it was a bit sad to not have him home for Christmas. I’m not good with change.

For Christmas Eve we went to my grandparents for their celebration and it was much more comfortable than last year. That evening we went to the O’Brien’s with Nick and Yoriko and my parents to celebrate--very fun. Luke and I came home to snuggle our dog and exchange gifts. On Christmas morning, we went to my parents to open gifts and have brunch. It was lovely! My parents got me so many lovely things (a new laptop from where I type this!!) and we watched too many of my baby videos. We lounged around and finished the day with mom and I making homemade chicken lo mein.

21. What new food did you discover?

Home Chef subscription has brought so many! The best was probably Korean pork medallions. Like, I can cook pork! Who knew?

22. What was your favorite TV program?

Wentworth, Gilmore Girls (so late to that party), and Stranger Things!

23. What was one of your favorite experiences of the year?

I have to say the day Luke and I got engaged. It was the first truly warm day of the year and we decided to go hiking at Squire Point. Even though it was our first time there, we walked right to this gorgeous lookout point over the lake, its cliffs, and a beach. I was yammering on about “Lost” and Luke was behind me on one knee, waiting for me to stop talking so he could say “will you marry me?” So surreal. I said yes (of course) and we carved our initials into a tree next to us. The rest of the day included fishing, getting a flat tire, and surprising my parents with the news. I’m still giddy at the thought.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t also mention the day we picked Sebastian up! We drove up to the farm and the breeder greeted us with him in her arms. I immediately scooped him up and he was just so calm and so sweet and so tiny. He just hung out in my arms and chewed my hair a little. He fell asleep in my lap on the way home. I was already head over heels. I just love that little dog so much.

24. What was the best book you read?

I’m thinking What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. I also really loved Lena Dunham’s Not That Kind of Girl.

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Kaleo. Yaaaaas.

26. What did you want and get?

A great job, a wonderful fiance, a puppy. Living the goddamn dream.

27. What did you want and not get?

I got everything I wanted and I’m not even exaggerating.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?

Is it so terrible if I say “Finding Dory”?!! It was adorable and I cried.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I turned 26 this year. It was a Sunday. Luke gave me beautiful dangly earrings in the morning. Then we met our families at Sutliff Cider Company to tour as a potential wedding venue and taste some delish cider. We loved it--the orchard, the barn, the pavilion. We all went to my parents for dinner. It was a really nice birthday!

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

A constantly clean house and a personal chef.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2016?

Knit blazers. Cropped pants. Colorful necklaces and statement earrings. Cardigans and collars. Flowing floral tops. Ankle boots. Olive green.

32. What kept you sane?

Luke. Sebastian. My family. The occasional perfect coffee. Online grocery shopping. Reddit.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Seth Meyers. John Krasinksi (per usual). Cecile Richards.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?

The election. What a dumpster fire.

35. Who did you miss?

My brother. Seeing law school friends.

36. Who was the best new person you met?

The best person I met wasn’t a person at all... Our handsome corgi man, Bash.
