When I was making those drawing/last year from February till August I came across an art critic in Spain. I always read what she was talking about Art and I love what she has to say. I speak Spanish as well I lived in Madrid for one year and I translated two books from Spanish to Russian in 1987 👨‍🎤 she’s a very smart woman but she also had one page with these facial expressions. 👨‍🎨 She is very animated. But I forgot her name completely 🤣 ( it happens to me all the time ). I was inspired to make a few drawings of her face as realistic as I possibly could, in my own line, in my own style of course. I started this painting at the beginning of November and finally today I finished it, this painting for me was quite rich in painting since my process was very different from what I was used to, I am very happy with the result, especially because it looks just like my sketch. This piece was my moment to sit down to comfort myself, to have a little peace while everything else continued, for me painting this piece was to preserve the stillness of the moment, when I was painting I just wanted to be in peace to connect with my inner Christ, stop the time in images and colors while painting from the chair. I always need those moments where there is only silence to connect and start over.💙🕊💙. Esta pintura la empecé a principios de noviembre y finalmente hoy la he terminado, esta pintura para mi fue bastante rica en pintar ya que mi proceso fue muy diferente a lo que estaba acostumbrada, estoy muy contenta con el resultado, sobre todo por que quedó exactamente como la había plasmado en mi boceto. Esta pieza fue mi momento de sentarme a reconfortarme, a tener un ratito de paz mientras todo lo demás continuaba, para mi pintar esta pieza fue preservar la quietud del momento, cuando pintaba solo quería estar en paz para conecta con mi Cristo interior, detener el tiempo en imágenes y colores mientras pintaba desde mi silla.
