"Kylo? What the kriff are those?" Hux covered himself in blanket looking at the counter. He still looked pale but significantly better.

"Hi sweetheart… How's your fever?"

"Gone. I am fine i told you. So ? This two orange abominations on my counter?" Kylo laughed unpacking other groceries.

"Pumpkins… Em… Its a kind of vegetable. "

"And you bought it because?"

"They gave it away. They celebrate autumn with them…"

"They celebrate by giving away vegetables to strangers?" Kylo chuckled.

"No… They carve it. Drill it first and then make different shapes or faces. Then they put candle inside and place them at the front door. To scare off evil."

"Like a… Lantern?" Hux glanced at the pumpkins much more curious..

"Yup… Em i though that we..could try?" He asked almost shy. "You know since you shouldn't work because you are obviously ill and not in the best mood anyway, and we could do something together… And "

"Yes. Why not." Hux sat down by the counter. " I would like to."

Kylo smiled widely. They carved pumpkins all evening and Kylo couldn't remember when he saw Hux so engage last time. Probably long ago. Then they sat on the outside looking at two pumpkins on the ground. Hux was toying with one of the seeds.

"We can plant them. Since we are getting better in not ruining every plant."

Kylo laughed.

"That would be wonderful. "He hugged him and placed chin on his head. "You are not cold?"

Hux shook his head leaning into him arms.

"Thank you."

"For what?" Kylo blinked.

" For keeping me alive, you fool." He kissed him.

“As he stands behind me like an overprotective dad” DUDE I love Tairn and him being all overprotective around when Violet is around Dane. I just love the complexity of this tough, strong and probably the strongest, grumpy dragon simultaneously being so caring and sweet.
