can you imagine how pissed yondu would have been if he'd seen peter pull that stunt at the end of gotg3? he picked up a freezing and dying peter in space in gotg1. he died frozen in space saving peter in gotg2. and in gotg3 peter freezes and nearly dies, in space, because he went back for the zune yondu had given him??

sure he went back because he wanted to give rocket the zune - not for the zune in and of itself, but I bet yondu would have been so mad about it

remember how at the end of guardians 2, rocket was surprised that the ravengers showed up from Yondu’s funeral? How they could forgive him(and in extent, how the guardians could forgive Rocket because he stole the batteries?)

he didn’t understand forgiveness because he hadn’t forgiven himself for Lilla, Teeth, and Floor. He didn’t understand how someone could forgive him.

i am a whore for found family so the ending to vol.3 hurt me in many ways but it was also so bittersweet that i couldn’t help but feel so happy and proud of everyone, when they met they were all at points in their lives i feel like where they needed each other and those connections and relationships and friendships and they have all helped heal each other and now that they have they are able to go off and do their own thing and be happy, but the thing is they’ll always have that family and no matter what they can go back and come back together.

Okay but the scene where nebula finds out rocket is okay. Keep in mind, they were the only two surviving guardians for five years. They were all the other had to lean on. They definitely were each other’s emotional support. The way she broke down in tears of joy got me.

itching to talk about volume 3 but i’m gonna wait a week or so, also i’m seeing it again this week anyways so, that gives me time to fully gather my thoughts and feelings, but i will just say… this movie did not disappoint, in anyway. best mcu movie to date, best ending to a trilogy.
