BLACKTOP WASTELAND BY S.A. COSBY
You can thank DHWW for my introduction to Blacktop Wasteland and S.A. COSBY. I love grungy, dystopian-in-a-way Americana. Books. Films. They're my unspoken jam. There's something extremely critical and artistic about this kind of genre and. every time I get my hands on one I savor them like a fine wine. [These I like to view / read slowly just so they can live in my head for a long whie,]
Particulars: This is a heist book centered around a jewellery-store robbery. It has muscle cars and bad-thug trope characters. It's an all around riot, and there are some truly funny moments here and there. If you're into heist movies, this one is structured similarly to the movie Baby Driver which is one of my favorites.
Honestly, if they need to continue to make books into movies, this is another good candidate for a loving and thought provoking adaptation. It his really good.
Scoring: 5/5 Lovely prose, critical social commentary and action are all woven together in the tale that is Bug Montage's last crime.
