Good Omens Minisode Minibang: Reverse Bang Edition

This collaborative event invites artists to create your own historical minisode artwork--or put your own spin on one of the existing canonical ‘sodes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How it works:

Artists will create an art piece revolving around the theme of Good Omens historical minisodes. Then, in May, all artists will be anonymously paired with an author who will create a short story of at least 3k words based on the artist's piece.

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are a seasoned pro at fandom events or are brand new to the concept of bang collaborations.

My first Good Omens collab! I had the joy of working with @inhonoredglory for the @do-it-with-style-events reverse mini bang, who wrote Hold Me While You Wait based on this illustration. They did a lovely job and I couldn't have asked for a better partner.

This drawing was inspired by Gerald Moira's A Silent Voice, a 1898 painting that immediately made me think of Aziraphale visiting a heartbroken Crowley from heaven after the ending of S2.

I'm super excited to show you a collaboration I've done with amazing @contritecactite for @do-it-with-style-events Mini Reverse Bang!

I've done this stupidly detailed art (I've spend 24 hours of work on this!), for which Contritecactite wrote a wonderful and funny little story.

Crowley and Aziraphale have a long history together. They used to hide it and pretend they were someone else to not get into trouble. But since one Apocalypse that didn't end the way it should, things start to change to be more clear, somehow... Or how Aziraphale smitted one mighty Serpent. Or did he?

Or her other works ♡ I wish there would be more from this AU, because oh boy, we went soo crazy with ideas! And, honestly, I would love to read and draw more of Crowley's piece of art. "Do it again," it escapes in a rush, all pent up adrenaline and relief at it all finally being over. It shouldn't have - you think he'd be better at keeping thoughts like that contained after all these years - but something about the high of victory and both of them together again turned him reckless. Mortifyingly its ferciosity catches them both off guard, a stone that falls heavy in the sudden shocked silence between them.

He starts babbling, all nervous hands and self conscious tittering with barely concealed horror at his own presumption. "Ah, yes well if you want to of course you're of course under no obligation and it's perfectly understandable if you didn't and it's terribly presumptuous-"

Crowley stepped forward and Aziraphale lost all of his words in a rush, anxiety spiking and wiping them from him completely. He's watching him behind those glasses, a series of emotions flashing across his face before landing on something like resolve. "Ask me again."

"I- what?" he asked, not daring to even breathe let alone make an assumption twice in a row.

Crowley let out the smallest sigh - the one he often did when he was caught between fondness and annoyance - and raised a hand to slide his glasses off his face, willingly exposing himself in a way that left Aziraphale breathless for an entirely different reason. "Ask me again."
