Sim Simon is now live!

Simon, you know that I created a sim version of you in Sims 4. I've completed his lair to the best of my abilities thanks to your help and pulling information from a few of the first chapters of the book. I'm new to buiding serious things in sims so it was challenging, frustrating, and fun!

My fellow gentle readers, you can now add a sim Simon in your world, if you havent already! Just search Alkenmayer in the gallery and the sim and the house lot should appear. If it does not, I believe you can search via creator name and mine is KiddSparrow14.

Okay but here are some ground rules about this build.

1-- The packs

I did my best to just use the base game and stay away from items in my other packs. I ended up using items from other packs, if you do not have those packs it still should allow you to download it but the item will be replaced or deleted.

2-- The Ramp and "garages".

Simon's lair has a ramp for his car (i'll talk about that next) So in sims, you cant actually build ramps so I used a half gabled roof to make it look like a ramp. This ramp is a bit touchy. If you are ever in build mode and modify the house physically, it may delete the ramp or it might float in the air. Your best bet would be to fix it or just play with out it. Oh yeah, the garage doors arent real. Its just wall paint panels with windows up top.

3-- The car!

Yes, there is a car. I picked the closest one that matched a camero ss. No, the car isnt in a pack, its part of the base game. The car also isn't driveable. Oh, and you will have to add the car yourself. It wont save when you download it from the gallery.

It's easy to do and doesnt involve any mods. You will be using cheats.

1) open the cheat window

2) Enter these cheats in this order:

bb.showhiddenobjects

showliveeditobjects

3) Use the search option and type in **DEBUG** you'll have to scroll until you come across the vehicles. There are more than one so I guess you can choose whichever you like. After that the car will never disappear when you save your game.

4--Simon

Okay so Simon's traits are loner, bookworm, and glutton.

I chose glutton over foodie because gluttons get angry when they are hungry.

ah yes, most importantly. simon is a human sim. That's right, he is a human sim instead of an occult sim.

1) the only occult sims i can create is mages and aliens. I thought to make him an alien sim but... i didnt want him to have a disguise, I wanted him to exist simply as he is. (Hmm.. maybe i should have done alien but oh well its a game)

2) i cant create vampires and even if I could I wouldn't make sim simon a vampire. That would be an insult.

Whats the important of this? This means sim simon ages and can die. There are ways to work around this.

1) if you have the City Living pack you can make Simon immortal by using a cheat. I dont have this pack but it seems to work for others. Sims dont age or die from anything.

This cheat process is: testingchears true, then traits.equip_trait trait_isWeirdo make sure that you have selected the sim before typing that.

But what if you dont have City Living pack? There are in game ways to prevent them from aging and dying, some are rather tedious. I find the best way to keep my sim from aging is in the settings. Under game options for sims aging there are different options for playable sims and unplayable (world npcs). You can change your playable option to active household only so that way sim simon will exist in the world and not age until some accident happens and it dies.

what if you plan to play actively as the sim? You can turn the aging option off for your playable sims.

I believe I have covered everything. If you download these from the gallery I hope you enjoy them and customize them with any additional packs you have yourself. Maybe even buy a business that he operates, or even a restaurant? Add Goody even if you have Pets & Cats. I hope you enjoy it and as always, happy simmimg!

Oh yes, one more thing... Sim simon can't get pregnant or impregnate others.

Nightmare Summoning Restrictions

These three rules apply to battles in Story/Events and during Colosseum.

1. Simply not having enough SP.

Nightmares obtained through the gacha (or paid using desire medals) are summonable with 0 SP while nightmares bought through any other means cost 50 SP in story/200 SP in Colosseum.

Eris, Noin, Lindwyrm are 0 SP while Fafnir and Girl cost 50 SP. Even though there’s not enough SP to summon the two latter ones, they still appear selectable. It’s a trap!

2. You’ve already summoned a nightmare during this battle.

There is a limit of one nightmare summon per person. With all the variety in nightmares, a good strategy for Colosseum is making sure every member of the guild has something to summon during battle.

3. A nightmare with the same skill effects has already been summoned.

If someone has previously summoned an attack-buffing nightmare, then no one else will be able to summon an attack-buffing nightmare. A good rule of thumb is that if the skill names are the same (even if the skill levels are different), then those nightmares are exclusive and can’t be used in the same battle. Exceptions do exist as some skills have different names but the same skill effects.

In this case, someone else used an attack-buffing nightmare, so I am not able to use Girl. I can still summon other nightmares with different skill effects.

Note that both texts for “Summoned Already” are the same even though different restrictions are in place.

I blame Ms. Match for this, but for some reason I was inspired to play through Save the Date again. Because I’m a glutton for punishment, apparently. And, for double the punishment, I’m gonna romance Justin this time, not my boi Simon (still love ya, Simon, you adorable cinnamon bun!).

Seeing as how my immediate reaction to even seeing Justin was “YOUR FACE FILLS ME WITH RAAAAAAGE!!!1!1!!” ...I’d say this will be a tough ride. At least at first. I think Justin might be the first LI I’ve downright hated (again, at first). Either him or the one guy from Home for the Holidays. You know the one. I think his name is Nick? But anyway...

I probably said this back when StD first came out (if not me, then someone else definitely did), but I see what PB was going for with his character: that kind of love blossoming from hate that mostly only works in fiction. A good idea - there’s some real tension potential in that. But they leaned wayyyyyyyyyyy too far into making him a jerk. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too far. Also holy crap that was a lot of Romance Points in chapter one. I didn’t count, but I had to have had at least 10-15 points with Justin even with the -3 at the end. That’s crazy, lol. He was the Chosen LI of that book, it seems. Aka the LI that gets more or less shoved down your throat for 75% of the book.

Oh well. At least it’s better than Sunkissed.

no i absolutely love this!

simon knows he’s a big guy, so he just eats whenever he gets hungry, knowing his demanding job will help him maintain his weight. but he cant help but notice how often you turn down his offers of food, or lack ideas for meals you’d want to eat. he sits you down and asks you honestly, wanting to make sure you’re okay mentally and your thoughts on food.

“you been okay, darlin’? noticed you haven’t been eating much these days,” his blonde eyebrows furrow, brown eyes searching your face for an answer. he’s just worried about you, he wants you to be healthy, being able to eat what’s good for you when you need it.

he listens intently, asking questions to understand your struggles better. when you explain it’s just harder for you to eat, lacking a normal appetite and sometimes forgetting to eat meals, his hand holds yours, softly rubbing his thumb along the back of your hand as you talk. humming occasionally to acknowledge your words without interrupting.

“if it’s okay with you, dove, i think it would be fun to prepare our meals together. i can be a better cook for you,” simon offers, scarred lip curling into a smirk, his large hands squeezing your thighs.

he takes it upon himself to start meal-prepping, making sure to take into account things that are easier for you to eat. doing hours of research in his free time, finding it’s best to start with liquids before trying to add more food into your diet. he wakes up every morning and makes the two of you a delicious smoothie, packed with fruits and veggies, greek yogurt and milk, even peanut butter or a scoop of oats if he feels like it. if he’s expecting to leave soon, he’ll buy everything you need in bulk so you can maintain it while he’s gone.

(and even if you don’t live together, he’s scheduling deliveries for groceries or any food you mention wanting)

gladly spends more money on food whenever you’d like. oh, you’re craving a pizza from your favorite place in town? anything for his baby. oh, you’re craving donuts from krispy kreme at almost midnight? he’ll be right back for his baby. he does anything to help you eat.

always encourages you when he sees you eating, giving you multiple pecks between his words as he cups your cheeks, “fuck, i love seeing you eat. you’re so cute.”

leaving you laughing while trying to swallow your bite, cheeks flushed red from his kisses.

regardless of whether or not you’re actively trying to eat more, he just cares that you’re healthy and eating 3 meals a day, drinking plenty of water, taking vitamins or medication. yes one of his love languages is acts of service.

Hot Chocolate

A/N: Hey guys! It’s been a while since I’ve posted a fic, so I’m excited to post my entry for @simons-thirst-squad Simon’s Advent Calendar Day 18: Hot Chocolate. Also big thanks to @genevievedarcygranger for betaing this fic for me and being all around awesome and supportive <3

Word Count: 1283

Warnings: Sugar sweet fluff

A violent shudder passed through your body from the cold. You shifted the weight between your feet in quick succession, hoping that the movement would help warm you up. If anyone was watching you right now, they’d probably think you were dancing. At this point, you were so cold that you didn’t care if you were seen.

Late night fence duty was always rough, but even more so now that the cold weather was setting in. The only sounds during the night you could hear was the sound of the walkers and the chattering of your own teeth. Luckily you had gotten warm socks, boots, and a heavier jacket from commissary to try to solve this issue, but it was still downright freezing at night. What you wouldn’t give to have a pair of hand warmers to keep your fingers from trembling.

“Looking a bit frosty over there,” a voice called out behind you. You jerked your head around at the source, ready to give them hell for teasing you. After seeing it was only Simon walking up to you, you relaxed a bit.

There was something about Simon that could never make you upset at his teasing. Maybe it was because you know he never meant it in a mean spirited way like the other Saviors sometimes did. He seemed to have a sixth sense for knowing when people needed to be cheered up, and you were thankful for it. Of course there was a part of you that found him handsome, but his cheery disposition always won you over every time.

“So you decided to come out and freeze with me too? You’re really taking a bullet for me,” you said with a smile.

“What can I say, I’m a glutton for punishment,” Simon said with a grin. “Besides, I come bearing gifts.” You hadn’t noticed what he was holding when he walked up to you, but when he lifted up two travel mugs you couldn’t help but let a wide grin spread over your face.

“Ohhhh coffee, for me?” you asked as you reached out for one of the mugs.

“Not coffee, hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is just better tasting this time of year. ‘Tis the season and all,” Simon said as he clinked his mug against yours.

You smiled and took a sip, relishing in the rich chocolate flavor on your tongue. Your hands were finally starting to warm up a little from holding the mug. The warmth began to flow over you now, in a way that only a hot beverage on a cold day could. It reminded you of the holidays before all of this, when you would curl up under the blankets on the sofa with a warm mug of whatever you wanted that day and glancing out at the falling snow between turning pages of the book you were reading that afternoon. You really missed it all.

Your gaze turned back to Simon as he let out a satisfied and dramatic “ahhhh” after taking a sip. There was a part of you that wished you could stand just a little bit closer to him. Something about the moment just set your heart aflutter. You were always interested in him, and this moment seemed almost too romantic to pass up. But what would you even say? What if he was just being friendly and didn’t want to pursue anything?

“The only thing that would make this better is if we could use milk instead of water,” Simon mused as he took another sip.

Torn away from your thoughts, you tilted your head down and took another sip. “Oh definitely, it’s a lot creamier that way. I miss a lot of food,” you lamented.

“What kind?”

“Pretty sure the universal answer is pizza,” you said, Simon softly chuckling beside you. “Tacos too. And I doubt we can find any oranges or pineapples around here.”

It took you a moment to notice as you were rambling on that you and Simon had somehow moved closer together as the conversation went on. Your shoulder brushed against his arm slightly, and you felt self conscious of his presence all over again. He was probably being friendly to you and he didn’t have any deeper feelings. Even as you told yourself this, you couldn’t move away from him. Even in the cold you could feel the warmth radiating from his body and personality.

You couldn’t help the shiver that went through you again, as you were just standing still and talking instead of moving around. Without meaning to, you bumped Simon’s arm with yours as you shuddered.

Before you could apologize to him, Simon suddenly cupped your cheek with his free hand, his palm practically covering your face. Your breath froze in your throat, unsure of how to respond. If anything, your cheeks began to heat up at the contact.

“Shit honey, you’re practically freezing,” Simon said. His thumb brushed along your skin gently before his expression changed to an apologetic one. He took his hand away and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Sorry, that’s probably too much, isn’t it? You probably think it’s kind of weird and out of nowhere,” he added with a laugh.

You smiled shyly and chuckled. “Simon, I don’t find it weird at all. I, uh, actually liked it,” you said. Something about his confident action in the moment made you want to try to go for it. Let him know you were open to whatever he felt for you.

He hesitated briefly, staring into your face as if trying to read you. It was this moment that you really got a chance to stare into his eyes, his warm brown eyes, as dark as the hot chocolate the two of you were drinking. There was a part of you that found it funny that the heat of the cup in your hand couldn’t match the feeling that Simon’s gaze made you experience right now.

The hand that Simon held his hot chocolate in wrapped around you slowly, as if giving you the chance to change your mind. You smiled and leaned into his chest to urge him further. It was almost cute seeing Simon acting a little shy himself. Taking your cue, his free hand cupped your chin again, spreading warm tingling sensations across your cheek.

Simon dipped down, grazing his lips against yours softly before pressing on. You found your free hand reaching up to the back of his neck, pulling him in closer. His lips still tasted of hot chocolate, and you wanted to savor it all. His kisses were firm, confident, and yet sweet and tender all at once. Not only that, but his mustache was rather soft, tickling you gently as if trying to get your attention too.

The two of you parted for a brief moment to catch your breath, which had turned into visible puffs in the air. Unsure of where to go from here, the two of you simply watched each other’s expressions, trying to gage your next moves.

Simon suddenly grinned, making you smile in response. “Wow!” he said, making you burst into giggles. He pretended to pout for a moment before saying, “I’m serious! You’re incredible.”

“You’re such a goof,” you said, blushing a little. “You’re not so bad yourself.”

“Really now?” Simon said, his eyebrow quirking up. “If that’s the case, then maybe after your shift we could warm up with some more hot chocolate. If that’s alright with you.”

“I couldn’t think of a better person to warm up with than you, Simon,” you said before standing on your tiptoes just to capture his lips again.

One more kiss could never hurt.

Deiondre Velanica (Rinker Father): Sid was the result of his parents wanting a baby after their own kids had grown and left the nest for good. Sada Warren (Girlfriend): Sid and Sada have somewhat of an unusual arrangement. Both get itchy with things staying exactly the same for too long, so they have an open relationship. He would like to move in together to at least save a bit on rent since they’re almost always at one another’s place, but the idea has Sada bugging out.

Kudzai Rinker (Great Something Grandmother): Sid thinks Kudzai regards him neutrally, which is a massive improvement from where he started as a descendant of hers. She may even mildly like him. He knows she is important to Sada and was glad when he got off her shit list.

Minsky Edison (In Law): Minsky is more accepting of those with the Rinker mark than his wife, Kudzai. He never doubted Sidney and even offered to mentor him before Sid chose Jia. Sid loves the way Minsky adores Kudzai and wants someone who loves him the same. Minsky also supports his relationship with Sada.

Jia Cleirigh (Mentor): Jia was Sid’s first mentor. No one was scrambling to claim him, but Jia saw some potential. He did well with his beginning powers, and uncommonly, Sid chose to stay with Jia. He debated trying to find a new mentor but figured he wanted to learn charms anyway and was comfortable with Jia’s teaching style.

Ryan Cleirigh (Friend): When Ryan joined Jia as a mentee, Sid was unsure how it would go, having the descendant of notable warlocks around. Ryan and Sid hit it off. Sid never knew having a illiousist around that is willing to have fun and cause a little damage would be so entertaining.

Garrett Cleirigh (Friend): Garrett introduced Sid to bushcraft and they attend survivalist events together at least 3 times a year. It does not hurt that Garrett is also dating Sid’s mentor, Jia, and is constantly in their space.

Kady Gaines (Friend): Kady is Sada’s mentor, focusing on Curses. Though it’s not really his area of interest, he can tell that Kady is a good teacher.

Simon Weyden (Friend): Sid thinks Simon is a bit of a silent genius. He’s not as loud as a majority of their group, but once he gets started on something, like genetics, he just continues on and on. They met due to him and Sada being Kady’s mentees.

Chai Gates (Best Friend): Chai and Sid occasionally hook up now and then although their friendship has existed much longer. Chai was the first person to really invite him out socially when he arrived in Chicago. She is the center of their friend group, and generally has the best eye for seeing who will fit.

Belle Cunningham (Good Friend): Belle and Sid will often train with each other. He’ll project an idea and she will attempt to create it. They both have much more relaxed personalities than their partners and wind up spending a lot of time together.

Maya Hanes (Good Friend): Before Maya met Belle, she and Sada would hookup with one another on the side. Once Sid got to know Maya well and they all started to hang out. Sada and Maya together are the expressive members of their friend group, and Maya adds a lot of excitement to his life.

Monty Wilders (Friend): Ada and Monty were out at a club when Sid and Sada met them. They clicked instantly and Sid began inviting them to hang out.

Ashley Malone (Friendly): Chai brought Ashley around one night and Sid immediately took to her. Sid wants to get Ashley out of her shell.

Audo Wilhelm (Dislike): He and Audo have never gotten along. They’ve met multiple times through the years at Cleirigh events, paties, clubs and the likes, and their personalities clash. Sid is comfortable with his magic and treats it like an extension of him, where Audo treats it like something that needs to be tamed.

Rhiannon Draga (Dislike): Rhiannon dislikes Sid because of his reckless use of magic and lack of seriousness over his craft. Sid thinks it’s none of her business.

Deiondre Velanica (Rinker Father): Sid was the result of his parents wanting a baby after their own kids had grown and left the nest for good. Deiondre provided less than the typical childhood and often took Sid with him on dangerous trips.
