Gingerbrave and I celebrating Nowruz :3 (took these pictures a few days ago/celebrating early)

the first pictures were taken at a party in [REDACTED but hey someone will probably figure it out it was a big event] but the others were with my family in an entirely different state so you don't even get to figure out where my family lives if you use the first images hahahaha (and it's not my immediate family either so-)

The first thing was at a museum so I also took some pictures at the exhibit is for Iranian stuff :3

I had Baklava for the first time here (Middle picture). The texture's a bit eh tbh, but I like the taste enough. Also the bottom left picture, I put marzipan on his face because I thought it looked funny ndjdndndndndd (like a snowman's carrot nose y'know-)

btw the bottom right corner on the menu, that's a manticore- or mardkhaar. I think it's from our mythology but I'm not a myths expert and the internet is uh. Weird and can't always be trusted with non-European stuff and basically gives you a different answer with every result for this one :'3

and at home we have the haft-sin! س (sin) Is a letter in farsi and ۷ (haft) is 7. Basically you need 7 things that start with س in farsi. You can have more though, my family does. And there's things that don't start with sin too, like the fish :3 they have other symbolism I think. Pretty sure they symbolize life or something.

(uh I can't think of all the objects off the top of my head and I need to wrap this post up and FaceTime my parents but uh- also yeah the eggs I think my parents said Christians probably stole the idea for Easter from Nowruz/from Zoroastrians [Nowruz comes from Zoroastrianism, like a lot of Iranian culture 'cus it used to be the dominant religion in Iran pre-invasion-)

(I can barely read so don't ask me what the book is hell if I know. It may not even be in Farsi tbh in which case I don't think even my family would've been able to read it but I know that my family has an untranslated ghoran somewhere snndnddndndn)

So uh sorry for rambling about that into the cookie run tag but yes I took Gingerbrave for a lot of enrichment last weekend <3 anyway in an hour is when Nowruz actually starts so I need to FaceTime my parents like right now-

That aside, during Cookie Odyssey, I was **convinced** that soulstones we're going to come into play somehow, it was like my major theory during ch.2, and nobody could convince me otherwise but it never happened. Giving the soulstones an in lore explanation would've been fricking awesome imo..

Can we get some HCs of the player (or their in game kingdom) basically having a monopoly on soulstones while the cookies are left scratching their heads as to not only how they work, but also how the reader got what is technically a part of their souls.

Write for anyone really, idm that much. I generally like the Creme Republic though-- whether reader is still behind the screen or knows the cookies are self aware is up to you really.

That would be very cool if they actually had a lore explanation :0 I thought the soul jams were soul stones first time I heard about them tbh, they just linked together in my mind, also reader is so real for trading monies for souls

I have never written self aware before so apologies if it sucks-

Gingerbrave & friends

Gingerbrave is one of the least confused cookies regarding this, to be honest. Mainly because he doesn't really care enough/doesn't notice to really question it. You gather these little trinkets that make him stronger! Cudos to you from this boy.

Wizard, on the other hand, is confused as hell of this process. Where do these stones come from? Are they truly linked to the Cookie's souls? Does that mean that they are not fully themself and/or complete until they are fully leveled, even if they only materialize with twenty of them?

Wizard just wants to know. He has asked you multiple times over, getting confused by your answers and delving in deeper whenever he can. Exactly WHERE do they come from? He's obsessed with finding out by this point.

Strawberry really doesn't mind. She's a little confused where they come from, but, like Gingerbrave, she doesn't question it too much. She does like to occasionally made theories, but she doesn't really like to share them.

If you're good friends with her she may share some of her theories with you, but none of the wild ones, and only if you ask.

Clotted Cream

WHOLE ASS ENGROSSED. He wants to know everything about the soulstones. Where do they come from? How would one even 'farm' these and how does farming a soul even work?

More specifically, he is trying to find a connection between soulstones and souljam. They do almost the same thing and have very similar names- they're both linked to the soul, and make cookies stronger.

He has spent many restless nights awake thinking about this.

Much like Wizard in that he's harassing you for answers, but he does asks questions more subtly.

Clotted Cream has flipped a few tables (with occasional assistance from Financier) before, mainly when he gets annoyed enough at not having a verifiable answer to this.

Financier

It is what it is. She accepts this. She's got dragged into the theorizing by Clotted Cream.

Chilling, mainly. She doesn't really mind not care. Likely to thank you for doing your best to collect them and to make everyone, including her, stronger.

Black Raisin

Intrigued by the sparkliness of most of these soulstones. Much like a crow, she is attracted to shiny objects. Her crow friends are too.

Black Raisin has a small hoard of soulstones that she's occasionally found, of all different sorts of cookies. The sparkler the soulstone, the likelier she and/or her crows are to snatch and hoard. If the soulstone is just a pretty rock then she'll also hoard those too.

If you really need a soulstone she will likely give one to you. How often and/or how many depends on her connection to you.

She's farming them with you by this point.

Oyster

Yoinks you.

She wants to have conversations about this. She wants to know what they are and where they come from. She will offer you tea and scones while the two of you converse.

When she first found out that her stones are Super Epic, she was very proud of herself.

Probably sends you back with some every time you come visit her.

Captain Caviar

Doesn't believe they exist. They're just rocks. Nothing more.

He will stand by his claim to the death. This WILL be the hill he died on. Captain Caviar does not believe soulstones exist.

Probably has made some propaganda about soulstones being fake. Socks, hats, jackets, you name it, he's likely made it with the words "Soulstones do not exist, numbskull" in big letter on it. Except shirts.

Pure Vanilla

Very much like Oyster. Will likely join in on your conversation time and/or will invite the two of you over for his homemade tea and treats!

Most likely to understand how Soulstones work due to him wielding Souljam, which is the most similar thing to them. Also the fact he has lived for a long time and has gathered many knowledge on the subject.

Probably has a book on the subject somewhere.

He likes to sit and watch the Ferris Wheel Landmark rotate. He likes the motion.

I have a theory or that I noticed something interesting

I noticed that the little giant,the cookie that fought back against the witchs and silent salt cookie all have swords and similarities like how the cookie who fought the witchs was one of the first cookies baked like silent salt cookie and how the little giant is probably a old story or tale before the ancients but they also take note on how our best boy GingerBrave is also similar to The little giant and how he also has many iterations of him holding a sword or using one like how you can use one in the vr game so I think that gingerbrave might get white lily cookies/Silent salt cookies soul jam because he seems to fit it the most but thats just me but all together i think all three of them (not includeding gingerbrave) i believe their the same cookie but whats your opinion on this

hey anon !! this is the first pure vanilla request in a while… gonna write this as a short oneshot (or scenario) if you don’t mind ^^ also spoilers for basically all of the kingdom story (including the council of heroes) !

since the request isn’t too specific, i’m also gonna take some creative liberties. reader’s an ancient and… pure vanilla can see through his staff in this one :)

pure vanilla with a best friend who’s scared of his staff!

“look who it is !! hey, y/n !!” gingerbrave greeted you.

“hello gingerbrave. how are you ?” you asked him.

“i’m doing great !! it’s been so long since we’ve seen eachother, huh ? how is your kingdom doing ?” he added, intrigued to see how you and your subjects had been faring.

“yes, we’ve been doing good. you & your friends help was been absolutely amazing. i cannot thank you enough.” you smiled. gingerbrave and all his friends helped you to rebuild your kingdom, which had suffered greatly because of the dark flour war.

“don’t worry about it ! now, would you like to come with me up to the castle ? pure vanilla is waiting for you !”

you grinned at the thought of seeing your best friend again. you had been devastated when pure vanilla had sacrificed himself during the final battle, and you’d missed him ever since.

there was one problem though.

his staff…

you were terrified of it. it was the fact that it just stared at you all the time, creepily. it’s wide eye just staring into your very soul, like it knew everything that you ever did wrong. pure vanilla & the rest of the ancients didn’t have a problem with the staff however, so you tried your best to keep your fear to yourself. that was hard though, because whenever you were around it (and especially when it was staring directly at you) you couldn’t speak properly and would shudder whenever it caught your eyes.

you sighed with a mix of happiness and reluctance, and allowed gingerbrave to lead you up and thought the vanilla castle.

you & him walked to the castle together, catching up & talking about his latest adventures. you smiled as the young boy excitedly recounted what happened in the hollyberry & dark cacao kingdoms. as he was telling you about the fearsome monsters of the licorice sea, the pair of you finally reached the solarium of unity, where many cookies were hustling and bustling about. including your longtime friend who you had missed so dearly, pure vanilla cookie !!

he was helping out with the feast, setting the various plates of food where they needed to be. gingerbrave called out his name, the blonde hero turning to you and your gingerbread companion.

“is that who i think it is?” pure vanilla said, his tone upbeat, very clearly happy to see you, “y/n?”

“it’s… eh… been quite some time, h-hasn’t it?” you replied with a smile on your face, already stuttering due to your fear of the vanilla orchid staff.

pure vanilla walked over to you & embraced you in a strong hug.

“it’s just been so long… and i missed you terribly, y/n…” pure vanilla confessed, not seeming to notice your nervousness.

you hugged him back, smiling through your uneasiness. you could feel the eye of pure vanilla’s staff burning into your very soul, but you tried to ignore it the best you could.

your friend let go of you and cleared his throat.

“since hollyberry and dark cacao have not arrived yet… would you mind helping me & everyone else with the preparations, y/n?”

“y-yes! n-now, what do you ne-need me t-to do?” you replied.

“y/n, are you alright? why are you stuttering so much?” pure vanilla asked.

“oh! aha… i-it’s not-nothing! don’t wo-worry about i-it…” you replied, your stuttering getting even worse.

pure vanilla knew something was up, but left it alone.

gingerbrave left the two of you to go see if hollyberry or dark cacao were here yet. he was very happy to see that your friendship was still as warm as ever, but he had picked up a bit of awkwardness or even fear from your actions, but he couldn’t quite place his finger on the source. he brushed it off though, thinking you were just getting used to being with your friend again.

“it’s just so lovely being a-able to see you again, pure vanilla. after you sacrificed y-yourself… i missed you so much.” you said as you arranged some flowers in a vase, not wanting to meet your friends eye.

“i understand y/n, but i do hope you know that i did it for the world, for everyone else…” pure vanilla’s voice trailed off as something caught his eye.

“hm? what’s the matter-“ you cut yourself off as a loud voice you hadn’t heard in so long filled your ears.

“ARE THOSE WHO I THINK THEY ARE!” hollyberry’s voice rang out as she entered, “PURE VANILLA & Y/N!”

“hollyberry! oh, it’s been so long-“ you were cut off yet again as you were engulfed in one of hollyberry’s fiercely strong hugs.

“hasn’t it?! how have you been, my friend?” she asked, letting you go.

“oh well, i could’ve been better, aha…” you replied.

but your reply fell on deaf ears as hollyberry went to hug pure vanilla.

“hollyberry- your hugs are as tight as ever, i see…” pure vanilla gasped, squashed by hollyberry’s tight grip.

timeskip to after the feast (this doesn’t follow what happened in the actual story, i’m just making up my own stuff lol)…

oh yeah i should also say that everyone are humans in this story!

even through the noise of everyone’s chatter, you could still feel the burning stare of pure vanilla’s staff on you. you shook as you rung out a sponge, ready to start on the next few dishes beside you. the staff was extremely important for pure vanilla, you knew that, but you wished deep inside of yourself that there was an alternative that he could use, one that wasn’t so creepy.

as you set to work on a plate, you started trembling even more. so much so that hollyberry came over to you, worried about why you were shaking so much.

“y/n, what’s the matter..? you’re shaking like you’re in the dark cacao kingdom with summer clothes on! and why have you been stuttering all day?”

“i’ll tell you, hollyberry, b-but you’ve got to promise not to laugh & to t-treat me seri-seriously.”

“alright… what is it?”

“it’s pure vanilla’s staff. it’s just so creepy! i know he needs it to see and all… but i can feel it s-staring me down all the time! i don’t know what to do!!” you confessed.

“oh.” was all that your friend said.

“huh? what do you mean ‘oh’? don’t you have anything else to say?” you whisper-shouted.

“i never really thought about it, i suppose.” hollyberry said.

and there it was again.

that burning stare driving into your back. you sighed, fed up with your nervousness.

The Voices, the new Heroes of Earthbread

Decades after the defeat of Dark Enchantress Cookie, a new menace appeared: Shadow Witch Cookie.

The Ancient Heroes, GingerBrave & Friends, and other cookies tried to stop her, but their attacks only made her stronger in their first fight against her... All, but ten Cookies, graced with Soul Jelly, sources of Light and Dark magic, balancing each other, also called The Voices.

The ten Cookies, split into two teams, work together to find a way to stop Shadow Witch Cookie and her minions.

Team 1:

Choco Duo Cookie

Son of Pure Vanilla and Dark Cacao, half-brother of Dark Choco and full brother of Trichoco, Choco Duo, also known as Chocoduo, Double Cacao Chocolate (full name), or "The prince of Secrets", is a young man who has a memory as good as Tarte Tatin Cookie.

As a child, he lost his arms and legs to save a dragon egg. As a thank you, the egg's mother replaces his lost limbs with new ones made of Cake Dragon's dough with the help of Red Velvet Cookie. The dough, at first shaped like Cookie limbs, became more and more like dragon's, and the boy became, well, half Dragon.

Today, he is one of the pretenders of the title of Dragon King (despite himself), and created the Two Moons Crescent Court with his lover Sunflower Cookie. He's always followed by North-Weast and South-Weast, two of the four little dragons following him and his sister around (who look a lot like the Twins Dragons ...)

His Soul Jelly is an orange crescent moon, the Voice of Memory, placed on his chest.

Trio Choco Cookie

Daughter of Pure Vanilla and Dark Cacao, half-sister of Dark Choco, and full sister of Choco Duo, Trio Choco, known more as Trichoco, Triple Bittersweet Vanilla Chocolate, or Tritri by her bothers, is a young woman who's a hothead and loves fighting. She is the youngest sibling.

She is a big admirer of Berries Choco Cookie, Dark Choco's late mother, and wishes to be just like her: great and powerful. She loves her friends and family more than anything, but she will find any reason to train with them at any hour of the day and night. Even if she's known as the Voice of Victory, it is not unusual for her to lose her fights against her friends and loved ones.

Today, she is one of Dark Choco's advisors. She's always followed by North-East and South-East, two of the four little dragons following her and her brother around (who look a lot like the Twins Dragons ...). She is best friends with Pepper Jelly Cookie.

Her Soul Jelly is a red spike, the Voice of Victory, placed at the end of her spear.

Sunflower Cookie

Sunflower Cookie, previously known as Yellow Rose Cookie, is the eldest child of the Roses Family and Choco Duo's lover and "mind guard".

When they were a child, they were abandoned by their mother, Burgundy Rose, in the woods where she gave them up to the hungry beasts living there. In their journey to find a new home, they meet Choco Duo, who had run away from the Citadel due to the bully the little prince got from being a new half-dragon. After convincing the boy to go home and with the help of one of Affogato's icecream clones, the two children manage to go back to the Citadel, and seeing how much the freckled cookie helped his son, Pure Vanilla proposes to the child to stay with them.

Sunflower is a protective cookie that will hold grudges on anyone who hurts Choco Duo. One of his catchphrases is "The prince is merciful. I am not."

Their Soul Jelly is a turquoise crescent moon, the Voice of Reason, placed on his staff, on the sunflower's heart.

Blackberry Nightshade Cookie

Blackberry Nightshade, also known as Nightshade, is a citizen of the Hollyberry Kingdom and the youngest member of the team.

Born without arms, she uses the little of magic she has to make some and can sometimes turn them into claws.

She met Choco Duo, Trio Choco and Sunflower when the two royal siblings came to visit Hollyberry Cookie. The young girl was dared by her mean cousins to ask the prince to be her friend while handing her claw for a shake in public. The prince happily accepted it, to the surprise of every Hollyberian, including Nightshade, until she saw the two clawed hands around hers.

Today, she is a dancer in the Hollyberry Palace and is in a relationship with Pineberry Cookie.

Her Soul Jelly is a deep blue berry, the Voice of Resolutness, placed on her chest.

Tenili Cookie

Tenili Cookie is a decapitated mummy-like Cookie and the oldest member of the Voices with Seaglass Cookie.

Tenili is a silly daydreamer who loves butterflies, to the point he cut his soul jelly to give it a butterfly shape. He sometimes sent one of his butterflies to give hope to his friends.

Before joining the Team, Tenili "lived" mostly in the Digital Golden Cheese Kingdom, using his stips connecting his body parts to "fly" around (Spiderman-like). He is in a relationship with Seaglass Cookie.

His Soul Jelly is a marron butterfly, previously an oval, the Voice of Hope, placed on his hair.

Team 2:

Frangipane Cookie

Frangipane Cookie is the fourth child of Clotted Cream, Financier, Wildberry and Crunchy Chip. She is the biological daughter of Clotted Cream and Financier. She is the future head of Scone-Custard House and a talented technician and inventor. Her mentors are Espresso, Strawberry Crepe, and Mulled Juice.

She has to use a cane to walk medium to long distances and use her inventions for travel.

Frangipane is a very serious Cookie, to the point she sometimes starts fights with Trio Choco or Alpha Cookie. Although she likes children, they don't usually like her back, including her little siblings at first, which makes her a bit sad. Surprisingly, she is best friends with Seaglass Cookie. She is in a relationship with Jelly Pepper Cookie.

Her Soul Jelly is a peach clover-like, the Voice of Justice, placed on her shoulderplate.

Pineberry Cookie

Pineberry Cookie is the child of Strawberry and Wizard Cookie and the godchild of Gingerbrave and Custard Cream III.

Pineberry was born with only one eye, their Soul Jelly replacing the missing one. They use their magic scarf as a weapon, mostly as a shield, but have a good manipulation of ice magic.

They are a bit shy, but also pretty smart, usually the one the team asks for new plans or advice when Frangipane is unavailable. They are in a relationship with Blackberry Nightshade Cookie.

Their Soul Jelly is a white/ pale colors four branch star, the Voice of Forgiveness, placed where his left eye should have been.

Seaglass Cookie

Seaglass is a Gem Mermaid squid-like Cookie and the oldest member of the Voices with Tenili Cookie.

Little is known about Seaglass, but if you are somewhere with a source of water near, you can expect him to burst out of it and either cause trouble or help the ones in need.

Seaglass is a malicious troublemaker, but he loves children and babysits the Berries Triplets (WildChip's second set of triplets) often. He is best friends with Frangipane and in a relationship with Tenili Cookie.

His Soul Jelly is a black tear shape, the Voice of Vengeance, placed on his belt.

Pomegranate Mochi Cookie

Pomegranate Mochi Cookie, also known as Mochi Cookie, is one of Dark Enchantress Cookie's clones, created by Matcha Cookie.

Created to be a perfect clone of DE, Matcha treated her harshly, believing it would make her more evil, and therefore more powerful, than their original source, despite the love for her daughter. It however backfired, making Mochi powerful but kinder. When Shadow Witch steals DE powers, Matcha and Mochi run away with Red Velvet and the Cake army to warn the Heroes of the danger.

In the Creme Republic, she meets the Gem Mermaid Carnelian Cookie and falls in love with her. The only ones to know her secret are Choco Duo and Seaglass.

Her Soul Jelly is a purple pie, the Voice of Union, placed on her Shamisen.

Pepper Jelly Cookie

Pepper Jelly is the son of Eternal Sugar and Burning Spice and the first cookie who was able to injure Shadow Witch Cookie.

Unlike his parents, Pepper Jelly wants to help cookies, and works hard to prove he is a "good cookie". He is the first to find a way to hit Shadow Witch Cookie.

Pepper Jelly is a loud and brave cookie, who doesn't hesitate to jump into battle. His best friend is Trio Choco Cookie and he is in a relationship with Frangipane Cookie.

His Soul Jelly is a light green kite, the Voice of Trust, placed on his chest.
