fucking hell in case u guys arent paying attention to whats been happening to the uk's economy and the value of the pound tanking, but it used to be that things in usd cost more (numerical) than things in gbp because the value of the pound was higher than tbe dollar and it was usually a good metric to remove like 20% of the price to convert usd to gbp, say something was ~80 usd the cost to me would be around 65 gbp (like less than a year ago? months ago?). but then the Tories made the pound do this
Tumblr media
and now 80 usd is 72 gbp 😶 theyre nearly valued at the same. theyve literally destroyed our currency.

not entirely accurate, but does kinda illustrate the issue doesn't it?
But also paranormal pack is more like the 'ghost hunter from Ambitions that we have at home' than it is the supernatural packs careers.

me saying “i spent 350€ on cocaine in 30 days" is actually just a statistical error.
i spent 70€ within the first 21 days.
the 4 grams i got within the past 9 days are outliers and should not have been counted.

When I look at this chart, it scares me to think that we are on the verge of an economic collapse since it’s not just one currency that is weakening. In general, the chart shows the strongest currencies all trending downwards.

Franc, British Pound, Dollar and Now Bitcoin: The End of the Fed Dictatorship
Historically fiat was backed by gold. This gave people confidence that their money had real value since it could be exchanged for precious metal at any time.
Linking fiat money to gold also helped control inflation and promote stability in the economy. However, over time, countries gradually moved away from the gold standard and moved to a system where money was no longer directly tied to anything.
Tumblr media
Why is gold a guarantor? It's not enough. Why is fiat money convenient? They are transferred quickly and are checked easily but they are not scarce.
Bitcoin combines the best of everything: a scarce monetary asset that moves faster than fiat and is even easier to verify.
Today fiat money, dollars or euros have no direct connection with gold. They rely on trust in the state and its ability to manage the economy. However, the idea of gold standardization remains an important part of the history of money and the financial system.
This is why the US is fighting so hard for a traditional financial system. The “world's first economy” will in fact cease to be the first economy as soon as the Fed stops printing dollars uncontrollably.
This is not possible with Bitcoin; strictly limited emission does not provoke inflation and a constant decrease in the mining reward creates a shortage of coins on the market.
