Day 1
I woke up at 6 am and got up at 6:30 am. I drove to work after a quick cold shower. Once I got to work everyone was just running around not really knowing what was happening I just tried to help where I could.
We worked just outside of Gansbaai for the day it was warm and the air was filled with ash from the mountain fire.
I suppose I shouldn't bore you with too much detail but ultimately the day was good I worked hard. Wish you were here so we could have a cup of tea and share a smile.

South Africa
Cape Town is a hip but touristy town. The helicopter ride was a great way to put the city in perspective. We had an excellent dinner of wild game (kudu) at a harbour restaurant and loved walking around in their autumn weather. But of course being on the coast we also enjoyed some fresh fish. I wanted to do a cage dive out of Gansbaai about two hours from the city, but there weren't any great white sharks sighted that week. Another perspective of the city and environs from Table Mountain.

It is seasonal, so timing is crucial. The best time to visit for whale watching is from June to November. During this period, you can witness the annual migration of southern right whales. These gentle giants come to the waters around Cape Town to breed and give birth, making it the perfect time to catch a glimpse of them.
