It's just good character design, color theory, that whole shtick. It just makes sense??? Orange is a contrasting color to blue and makes the design more cohesive. Val looks fine in orange. His skin is also kinda blue-ish, it works.

There's obviously discoloration in the photo, were talking like 1970s quality film cameras and the hues have been turned down cause Val's skin isn't pink??? The color swatches don't do anything because the hues have been distorted, and relying on values isn't effective because of how close red and orange are on the color wheel and how f u c k i n g c r u n c h y the screenshot is.

Keep in mind, this was probably made by a background artist, they generally work with more cohesive color pallets with more limited hues since the backgrounds aren't the focus!

Dude I am in love with this AU and the art style OP draws in,,, This was the AU that got me hooked on StaticApple- I'm still finding my style, gotta learn from the best 🏃‍♂

I completely agree that Vox as the hotel sponsor just makes sense, he has ulterior motives just like Alastor but Vox would be way better at helping the hotel. He's a charmer, he knows that he needs Lucifer as an ally, and hey, when is it ever a bad idea to cozy up with the royals?

I'm not big-brained enough to come up with the cool AU ideas 😭 maybe someday...

It came to me in a vision guys. The Vees. Except EeVEES. VEElutions. I was ascending. You don't understand. My first hyperfixation and my newest hyperfixation. This is the point where I feel I have been given too much power.

First up is everyone's favorite (or least favorite) moth pimp, Valentino~...! A lot of people hate Valentino, I think he's a good villain, but if you don't like him, understandable have a wonderful day.

He's a Sylveon. Of course he's a Sylveon. What other option is there? When I was struck with this idea a design immediately popped in my head and I was sitting there like... this is the most intelligent thought I've had since 3rd grade CogAT testing...

He has his iconic glasses because I had to, ofc ofc, and instead of pink and blue I made his colors red and gold like his jacket. For his ribbons I did like a zebra thing like he has on his coat fluffies and I changed the hat color so it doesn't look too similar to the fur.

I think I'll do Vox next, he'll probably be a shiny Umbreon? I might be able to do something cool with Jolteon though, wdy guys think I should do?

(unrelated but I was working on this for three hours straight looking at Val and the color pink in general and then i had to leave for something and i swear blue was green and everyone was jaundiced for a good five minutes)
