S4 Rewatch - Fashion

Glasses: The glasses only come out a few times this season but they’re good ones - Mulder falling asleep in his in 4x10 Paper Hearts; Scully reading medical journals in hers on a Friday night in in 4x20 Small Potatoes.

Scully: She’s not baby-Scully any more. This is grown up Scully. She’s seen some shit, and she’s figured out how to tame her frizz (please tell me how! Although I suspect it has something to do with hairdressers following you around the set all day). This is my mental image of Scully. Because of filming the movie between seasons 4 and 5 they keep her hair the same through the movie, and I’ve been obsessed with this bob since I was 13 (I briefly achieved it the last time I got my hair cut and they blow dried it which I never do at home). We get a lot more casual Scully this season - she wears that light grey sweater she wore a couple times last season FIVE times! It’s apparently the only non-suit clothes she owns now? What happened to all the season 1 flannels? Anyways, the highlight is obviously 4x20 Small Potatoes when she’s uh, not wearing anything under the sweater - those collar bones though. Her suits are even more heavily weighted towards black this season, but we do get a couple good red suit looks, like in 4x13 Never Again.

Mulder: What can I say? Sad boy Mulder really does something for me, and we get a LOT of that this season. We also get a lot of good casual or in the field looks (let’s just forget about that wetsuit from 4x18 Max...) The red tshirt from Paper Hearts? The black turtleneck and leather jacket in 4x14 Momento Mori? The WHITE T-SHIRT from 4x23 Demons? Excuse me, I need a moment...

Riddle me this - peak duo hotness: Paper Hearts or Demons? Or? There’s so much to choose from this season!
