THE 2002 merch suitcase from frnkieromustdie (frank’s instagram).

found the interview!
“When my dad would drive, he’d have this old, brown leather briefcase and would play drums on it in traffic. When he finally decided to get a new one, I went and fished the old one out of the trash and kept it. The lock code was the address from my childhood house – this thing just meant something to me. When My Chemical Romance got together, we had this idea of doing something cool with the merch with something we could pop open at every show. Gerard [Way] and I went to a fabric store, and we lined that old briefcase and it became our merch set-up.” - Frank Iero
@frnkiebby I wanted to tag you in the updated one (as if you haven't seen everything before) lol and wanted to say thank you for doing all that scrolling to find the source. I wasn't sure if it was scattered. Good to know it's from his instagram.
I mean good to know about this anyway. do you think i could make looking at these pictures a job? or a lifestyle I guess? or will I have to go back to school and get my degree in franks ass
Last night I asked Frank if he would humor me and let me do an updated version of the “red room” LEATHERMOUTH photos that I took in 2008. We were in the same venue so I thought it would be a fun little thing. Unfortunately the walls aren’t red anymore but the couches are the same.
I’m also pissed I got the wrong hand to cover his mouth. Amateur shit.
Frank Iero and Mikey Way's new guitars for the My Chemical Romance return show. (2019)
at 1:02 frank had to test the guitar on his knees why is he so cute? theres a chair right there but he had to practice his rock moves ™
mikey: "we left the venue and we forgot to lock the trailer and this dude (frank) went on the highway to try to get my bass back. He risked life and limb. yeah. everything fell out."
currently picturing frank hanging out of a moving van and nearly grabbing the neck of the bass as it ejected onto the interstate
Um, hi, hello! I was holding off on posting this until my physical copy came in the mail- and guess what showed up today!!!
So without further adieu, may I introduce my full piece for the @mcrswarmzine. I was given the task of creating a work inspired by Melbourne night one- which I was lucky enough to attend with my dad! After hours and hours of agonising about what to draw I decided to create a piece directly inspired by some of the incredible photos taken of the show (all of which can be found via the @themcrarchive -who are also featured in the book).
The book is incredible and I can't wait to spend endless hours poking through it! I'm honoured to be part of such an awesome project with so many amazing artists and writers. Everyone did such a great job, including the super sweet, wonderful SWARM team who were so great to work with! 🖤🖤
PS Unfortunately you can no longer order the physical copies (atm at least) but there are still digital versions available and all the profits go to an amazing charity!( @blackandpinkorg - on insta)
