Hi guys i hate to ask for this but my dog Pluto has been hurt for weeks and we've been doing literally everything we can but he has to go to the vet, and we just dont have the money. He's got foxtails and cactus needles in his foot and hes losing a lot of fur and weight because he's so sick. My dad has talked to every vet around us and nobody accepts payments, and after explaining and showing vets pictures they told us if it doesn't get fixed soon he could get a blood infection and die. He can walk on it, but the blood infection and the foxtail/needles are unfixable without a vet and medicine. If we could take him to the vet he'd have to be muzzled and knocked out, so it'd be around $800 to $1000. Im not expecting to raise that, but literally anything would help. My dad has just started a new job and isn't making much yet and with paychecks so far apart he won't be able to spare the money for months. I don't want to go through my entire life story, but ive been through a lot of shit with this dog and he's protected me, my sibling, and my dad's lives multiple times. I don't want to lose him to this.

Just really in love with the way the light is hitting the succulent shelf today. From left to right we have Watch Chain, Foxtail Agave, Jade Plant, Elephant Plant, Starfish Cactus, Lady Finger Cactus and Happy Bean together in the white planter (they were planted and sold this way, I really need to separate them because they have utterly different watering needs) and finally a Kalanchoe that desperately needs to be trimmed.

At the moment my favorite color is Blue, Yellow, Green and maybe Brown! We do have some plants in our house! We have 2 succulents and some other plants I don't know the name of! Do you have any plants? If you had a farm / garden what would you wanna plant?

having plants around the house gives me some peace of mind hehe and I do!! well, at home my dad has two jade plants (but he calls them money plants because he believes the more leaves it grows the good prosperity will be good to you). but for uni I brought my two cacti babies with me, one is an albiflora cactus and I named it petunia because it's just so small and cute, and the other one is a lady finger cactus and I called it pedro to compliment petunia 😅

if I were to haev a garden of my own I'd like to grow jade vines, a foxtail orchid, a hibiscus plant called gumamela, and a sampaguita <33 they're all flowers I loved seeing when I visited the Philippines years ago. I miss home and their flowers :')

Mammillaria plants are a group of cactus plants that dwell in warm regions such as the American Southwest and parts of Central America. Mammillaria is a genus with several hundred varieties. The name comes from the fact people often think these plants resemble mammary glands. Overall, Mammillaria plants are small and make for great indoor container plants with prominent flowers.

The first species of Mammillaria was described by Swedish scientist Carl Linnaeus in 1753. Its name comes from the Latin mammilla, which means nipple, in reference to its shape. Apart from the common name Pincushion Cactus, this plant has other funny and interesting names, such as Nipple cactus, Fishhook cactus, or Globe cactus. Some popular species from this genus are called Old Lady, Woolly Nipple, Owl’s eyes, and Cushion Foxtail.
