first off, the opening????? i was so estatic!!!!! Gwen was one of my favorites in the previous film so the fact that we began with her???? 😍 i love

but also like, maybe it’s the fact that it is pride month or maybe it’s the type of language used during this movie but…..anyone else got like a sort of queer-coming out kind of vibe?

lemma explain, the whole dynamic between Gwen and her dad, Miles and his parents, the fact that every spiderman is on their own in their world and feel so isolated but find community and belonging in the other spider-people (which was something Miles has been craving in the start of the movie).

THE WHOLE SPEECH MILES GAVE TO HIS (not)MOM ABOUT HOW HE THOUGHT HE COULD FIND BELONGING WITH OTHERS “LIKE” HIM LIKE BRO 🤧

also, the scene where Gwen reveals herself to her dad 🥺 and it just doesn’t go well T^T and you can hear the heartbreak and the stiff acting from the dad (jfc those VAs, man 🤧 put their heart into that)

or maybe it’s just me projecting 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk Miles and Gwen are like the two character i adore and relate to so much, so that could be why i saw it that way.

also, i find it a little funny how i was originally against Miles and Gwen having a romantic subplot and now i’m like their #1 fan lmao (i blame my weak heart and the beautiful way the movie depicts their mutual pining because, bro, the pining was real lmao 😂)

tbh, my original concern with Gwen/Miles was that i worried it would take away from their relationship and bond bc many m/f romances in movies sort make their “romance” the only thing that revolves around them (or is barely there and the girl character grows stale bc the writers/studio ppl forgot about her). but that’s not what happens here. both have their own arcs and issues and neither take away from the other and— ugh, i love this movie so much 🤧

AND LET’ NIT FORGET ABOUT THE ANIMATION BECAUSE BABES!!!!!

Been a minute, but onto Flash Vol 2 Issue 16 - The Adventures of Speed McGee, Part 1

Alright, heading into the three-parter! I actually own some comics that come up right after that, so I’ve seen fan reactions about these issues in the letters to the editor. I’m excited to finally see what they’re talking about ha ha.

Alright, so Tina and Jerry clearly still have chemistry, they’re showing that he’s remorseful but that Tina has forgiven him. She and Wally are in a rough patch. Kiiiinda seems like they’re setting up for her and Jerry to get back together and go on their way.

Wally with the kids is excellent. And that the first thing he thinks of is how Barry did stuff like that... Ah my heart. But also lmao Wally does NOT know how to interact with these children yet and it’s hilarious. Good on him for giving it a try tho.

Oh Mason’s here. Lol he’s totally saving Wally’s butt with these kids. 

Then we check in on Jerry, and his scientist buddy throws his weight around a bit. Then back to Wally trying to deal with his eviction notice bc boy can’t catch a break.

Okay I was SO confused. I thought that was Wally with Gilchrist and the baby, but it’s the guy who was wearing his suit that beat him up. Hella confusing.

Final thoughts:

Wally’s life is such a freaking rollercoaster. It makes me laugh bc it’s so insane. He’s the fastest man alive, he has no speed powers, people think he’s Barry, he resents his girlfriend, he doesn’t want her to walk out on him, he was a millionaire, he’s getting evicted. Where does it eeeeeennnnddd?? (Flash fact: it doesn’t)

So it looks like Savage is still in play, and of course his personal life issues don’t wrap up here. Wally was about to bust in to see Jerry (which he had no leg to stand on btw so kind of good they got interrupted), and I’m sure that’s going to come up again bc after all, this only Speed McGee adventure number one!

Wiki page isn't very helpful so I have some random questions for the Doctor Who fandom:

1) where do the names Theta and Kochei (I'm probably spelling that wrong) come from in terms of referring to the Doctor and the Master during their.... Childhood/days in the academy? Are these their ""real"" names, or was it some kind of designation given to them by the Academy?

2) do we have any concrete guides on Time Lord abilities? Like, I know they're touch telepathic and can read/erase memories, but can they feel someone's emotions just by touching them? Ive heard of the "Respitory Bypass" ability that lets then survive strangulation, but was that just a throwaway line for plot drama, or does it ever go in depth about HOW it works? Do they start breathing through like, , their skin when their lungs stop working properly? Is it as Nine said, they can feel the rotation of planets when they're standing on them? Can taste time on objects as well as idenify their chemical makeup? (hence the Doctor constantly licking things)

3) uh,,,, did the Time Lords straight up murder the Second Doctor??????????? Like. Wtf. I know that.... Three(?) Was banished to earth for awhile, and that's why he was working with UNIT, but like. What on EARTH did Two do that was so bad???!?!?

4) Romanadevoratrelundar. I can almost guarantee you that I spelled that wrong. How come Romana and Rassilon do not have "title" names, like the Doctor and the Master do? Do other Time Lords have "regular" names instead of titles, or is it a mix? What's the deciding factor? Is it something to do with the Academy (which I know nothing about other than the name) or is it just a personal choice based on aesthetic preferences?

5) who/what is the Valeyard? I've seen them referenced before,but no lore or concrete answers. Are they an alternative regeneration of the Doctor? Are they an EVIL alternate Doctor?

6) last but not least, when do the Classic Who episodes become a more.... Modern format, is ever? We tried watching from the beginning with an Amazon prime free trial of Britbox, but my GOD. ADHD does NOT pair well with six, 40-minute "parts" of an episode, especially with Susan shrieking every five minutes lol. We TRIED watching in chronological order for awhile but that got very tiring very quick so we started skipping forward to mid-season, then next season, then the next doctor, etc, but it seems like every freaking Doctor has nothing but 6-parter episode storylines and I do not have the patience for that. We DID watch the Fourth Doctor's first episode and I already loved him in his first five minutes, but the pacing was very slow and our trial had run out. Any particular Doctors you guys reccomend for more condensed / ADHD-friendly storylines?

7) ALMOST FORGOT! So. The Sixth Doctor... He's the one in the rainbow coat, right? Didn't he try to freaking MURDER his companion because of Regeneration Sickness or something???

TWW REWATCH: Bartlet’s Third State of the Union (2.13)

• it’s funny how sometimes I’ll read the title and fail to remember what the episode is about but then I’ll see the thumbnail and be like ah yes this episode

• I remember they all get interviewed on tv after Bartlet’s speech. Ainsley says something Sam doesn’t agree with, Toby argues about gun laws, and CJ sits in wet paint and doesn’t have any pants.

• Oh and Abbey becoming sus at Bartlet’s speech because it hints at re election.

• oh but I forgot about the polling plot where Josh and Donna get stuck in the dark after the power goes out!!

No one in the school knew why you always reject him, not even your bestfriends. ♡ You woke up by the unthrilling sound of your buzzing alarm, slapping it with your palm to get rid of the annoying noise. It was Monday, which wasn’t very thrilling either. You got up, and did your little morning arm stretch, cracking your bones in the process. You quickly got ready to go to school, kissed your mom on the cheek and left. While eating your sandwich on the sidewalk, you see Mark on the opposing sidewalk with a phone in his hands and a bag lazily hung on one shoulder (just like you), not paying attention to anyone walking infront of him. You giggled softly when he accidentally ran into a brunette teenager, but then rolled your eyes when he winked at her. Will he ever stop? No. Would he ever stop? Obviously no. The brunette dropped the eye contact acting all flustered and quickly made her way to wherever she was heading. ♡

♡ You then moved your gaze to the sidewalk concrete floor getting lost in your thoughts when you suddenly feel someone walking next to you. “Hey Y/N.” You heard a familiar voice speak. “What do you want Mark?” you sighed. “Good morning to you too.” He semi-mumbled. “Is it so wrong that I’m trying to have a conversation?” Saying it in the most dramatic way ever. “Go start a conversation with something else, maybe a wall for starters.” You said while smiling at his stupid overreactive reaction. “Sorry I’m trying to be nice.” He said in a high-pitched tone which made you giggle, sighing right after, but of course Mark’s dirty mind heard it in a dirty way. You suddenly saw a tent build up in his pants which surprised you a lot but also didn’t surprise you because come on, it’s M A R K. “MARK!” You kind of yelled while pushing him. “WhaAat?” He yelled back. You looked at his lower body then at his eyes, then he got it. “Ooohhh, Sorry I can’t control my genitals and how they feel!” He said sarcastically. “I can’t believe you, walk alone.” you said in a slight funny and surprised tone. “You really think I’m going away that fast? ♡ As soon as you reached the door, a blondie came running to Mark. “Hey Mark! My parents are going on a vacation, and I’m gonna be home alone for a month! Unless you wanna come over..” she said while winking. You literally gagged internally and walked away searching for your friends. The sun’s blinding rays forced you to squint your eyes and raise your eyebrows in attempt to open them and search more clearly. You continue to look around wondering where they sat this time, until you feel a hand poking your shoulder, you could’ve sworn your heart was about to come out of your mouth. “Why the hell is everyone sneaking up on me today?” you whine while facing the person who poked your shoulder. “Oh hey, Johnny!” your face lighted up at the sight of your bestfriend. “Hey! So I really need to head to class but I just came to tell you that if Mark tells you to follow him during lunchtime, don’t. Just don’t. It’s better if I don’t tell you why so you don’t murder him.” He said while giving you a smile as a goodbye. You needed a moment to process his words because he was talking as fast as the speed of light. ♡

♡ 2 periods later, while preparing your art supplies for the next class, you were very confused about the thing Johnny told you earlier. What could Mark possibly want? You thought Johnny and Mark were luring you into a prank or trap or something. He can’t just suddenly pop out of nowhere and tell you this, it just seems sketchy to you. You were knocked out of your thinking by your friend telling you that class started 2 minutes ago while you were zoned out. You let out a short chuckle and walked over to your classroom, you were fairly nervous because right after this class was lunchtime, you made yourself a plan just incase they were trolling you. “Hey uh, can we sit somewhere else during lunchtime? Like under that big tree outside or something.” You persuaded your bestfriend. “Sure, but why?” she asked, puzzled. “Oh, I don’t know, I just wanted us to have fresh oxygen while eating instead of smelling ramen and chicken while I’m eating.” you tried to sound as honest as possible so she won’t catch on. “Alright then.” she said while giggling. Fast forward to lunchtime, you felt like exploding from the amount of nervousness you were feeling, it was literally nauseating. You made your way outside hoping not to bump in Mark or Johnny, or any of their friends. The thought made you shiver. You felt relief as soon as you walked through the school doors and continued to walk to the big ass tree on the field. You sat down and let out a sigh of joy. “Wow Y/N, this place might become our official lunchtime area.” your friend admitted. You giggled in response, opening your container of salad and lemon. ♡

♡ Mark walked into the lunchroom in a confident way for what he was about to do. “You really think your master plan would work?” Jaehyun asked. “Of course it will, Jaehyun, don’t be ridiculous.” Mark answered. “As if any plan you have ever made worked, genius.” Renjun scoffed. They all sat down in anticipation, waiting for you to walk in. “I’m gonna be right back.” Mark got up and speedily walked out of the lunchroom. “Where did he go? I thought he’s was gonna use his master plan on Y/N.” Johnny said, quite confused. “You think he backed down?” Yuta asked. “Come on, you know Mark, he’d never back down, no matter what especially when it comes to her.” Jaehyun said pointing at you through the window. “So that’s where she’s been this whole time and you haven’t said a word?” Renjun said, afraid of Mark’s reaction to Jaehyun’s nonsense. “Calm down, I literally just spotted her.” Jaehyun explained, defending himself. ♡

Mark came back into the lunchroom but didn’t make it pass the door. “Yuta come quickly!” He yelled loud enough for his friends to hear him. Yuta rushed off his chair and quickly followed Mark outside. “See Y/N?” Mark pointed at you, pausing for a moment to admire how the sunlight between the spaces of the leaves illuminated your pretty face. “I need you to go to her and tell her this-“ Mark cut himself off and whispered to Yuta the rest so no one would hear them. “Got it?” Mark asked, unsure if Yuta even heard anything. “Yes, yes I got it.” The boy said, very excited. Yuta walked over to you, hands in pockets. “Y/N, Mark says he really can’t understand this stupid Biology formula and he really needs your help at the library.” Yuta said. “Oh really?” you narrowed your eyes at him. “Well then, tell him to find some other person who’s willing to teach his stupid ass.” You replied, quite proud at your response. “But everyone he asked turned him down.” Yuta tried reasoning with you. “So did I.” You took another spoonful of your salad in hope of him leaving you alone. “It’s really important Y/N, Mr. Saltzman (tvd character lol) is giving him another chance of making his grades better!” Yuta said, very very desperately. “What do I get out of this?” you asked, giving up, knowing he won’t go away until you’ve agreed. “I have no clue, ask him.. and was that a yes??” Yuta bent over so you were face to face. “Fine.. While on my lunch break at work today, I nearly opened tumblr on my phone. Then I realized it was after 2pm so the episode was currently airing in Britain. I could have been spoiled if I hadn’t stopped myself. 

I see the Doctor is still talking to herself. Old habits die hard. “Don’t panic.” Love Hitchhiker’s Guide. “RYAN.” HUH “RYAN SINCLAIR?” WHAT? This is reminding me of something... what am I being reminded of... BLINK MAYBE??? YES THIS IS JUST LIKE “SALLY SPARROW DUCK NOW.” THIS IS BLINK. IS THIS BLINK? BECAUSE THIS IS BLINK. ...Who in the world is this lady... “Obviously I’m a recording and can’t hear you.” THIS IS BLINK. Also this is throwing shade at Blink with the “Obviously” part...  It is his TARDIS!!!! IT’S A TARDIS. THE HOUSE IS A TARDIS. THE FANS WERE RIGHT. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was a TARDIS or just the Master making a joke by having the house fly by them. But nope, IT’S A TARDIS. I literally screamed “IT’S A TARDIS” out loud. “Magic Apparrating Man! Lady. Apparrating Lady! Every time...” That made my dad laugh. But I mean, 1100 years at least of being a man, not counting the 4 billion years in the confession dial. It takes getting used to. Marooned in the past. Chibnall, I really hate to say this, but this is becoming a little too similar to Blink. Just because of the being trapped in the past and leaving messages for the present thing. The lace bonnet had looked super.... weird in the other realm. In a cool way. A way that made me wonder what material it was made of and if she was really from the mid 1800s or if she was just an alien with clothing that imitated the style. Because the way the lace glowed was cool. Also. Why does Ada seem familiar to me? OH NO. Lol. “O no.” I didn’t even do that on purpose. That face she made as she realized the Master’s not in control was such a Doctor face. “Ada, I really do not approve.” Aww Doctor. Never change. I like the old lady taking a picture with an iPad. Yaz calling her mom is a very Martha move and I approve. The Silver Lady was in the Master’s TARDIS.... “From his master” oh ok. “Multiple time periods” OOoohhhhh. Not multiple Earth dimensions then. I was gonna say that I was thinking of Weeping Angels earlier in the day today... I’m not saying these are Weeping Angels... but getting the vibes from the time travel and pulling people in and out and stuff. Oh and I was right that they can transport people purposefully. Did I say that in the last post? I can’t remember. But when Yaz was transported last episode I was like “So they can transport people places?” and the answer is a definite yes, and also in time. Also. Ada Lovelace. I know that name... I know I know that name... “Deep breath” ok now I miss Twelve. Of course it’s WWII. This music reminds me of like... Star Wars... Something from the sequel trilogy sounds like this... or at least has this vibe... Also. I don’t know how I feel about an Indian man in a Nazi uniform. That just... they wouldn’t have let him do that, first of all. Second of all, can we not? These are all women so far that the Doctor is bumping into... And I feel like it’s meaningful... Why would he do that to his mom? Noor Khan, I feel like I DEFINITELY have heard of her. Important women in science? I’m guessing Ada was a mathematician I think, but I can’t really remember. “They promised us that a war on this scale would never happen again.” “This is not the first time?” Ugh. WWI and pre-WWI people finding out about WWII always hurts. IT’S THE DOCTOR DOING THE SOUND OF THE DRUMS. Just the sound of the drums gives me chills. Is this a Old Who thing? The mind reading? She said it was classic. “Not exactly the Aryan archetype.” THAT’S WHAT I WAS SAYING. OOoooooh a perception filter. So they think he’s white. Ok. Ok that’s better.

Also, I’m sorta glad they’re actually addressing race affecting time travel to different time periods. They didn’t do it with Martha enough/at all. They tried to do it with Bill, and I did appreciate the “History is a whitewash” and London being blacker than Bill thought it was, but because London was diverse it wasn’t really an issue (besides the racist the Doctor punched). But I’m glad this is an actual situation where being another race is genuinely DANGEROUS since that’s how it was.

“Look after my mum” So is she not dead? Or is he mocking them? They can’t have destroyed Gallifrey again. He’s lying It was probably the Master himself that killed everyone if he’s not lying. “How else would I get your attention?” Awwww. That’s almost sweet. It’s sweet by Master standards ok. Ok... letting Nazis attack the Master... for being a spy... while he’s a person of color... is pretty harsh... Of course the Nazis can’t do much damage... And the Master did willing side with them to find the Doctor... But still... Very harsh... I guess after everything the Master has done... Maybe he deserves to be on the receiving end of racism since he hates humans so much... But still. “Forget you heard that word.... Otherwise I’ve just disrupted the whole of history. Again.” Doctor. Babe. Control yourself. Ok so it was people who were important in the development of computers in general. Cool cool cool. I appreciate that Ada and Noor were the ones the Doctor specifically bumped into. “You kept clicking agree” Yeah... yeah... he got us there. “This is like the Matrix” - My Dad. OH wow the Master came the long way round. 77 years. I’d almost say poor dude. Conversion!?!? NO. NOT CYBERMAN! IF THERE’S CYBERMEN THEN IS THIS A 3-PARTER?! “Oh.” “That’s your name.” HA. HA, good one Doctor. “I forgot the plane!” No you didn’t, Doctor. Don’t worry. You can do it anytime, as long as you do it at some point. “Are we being replaced?” Oh Graham. But also, I want the next companions to be from the past. See in Blink we didn’t get to see the Doctor setting everything up like we’re seeing it now. So that’s cool. Imagine if we had seen Martha standing behind the camera annoyed, then running around to say “I gotta support him!” That could have been fun. I think I just want more Martha in Blink. “The Fascists. Do they win?” “Never” Yeah I really hope not, but time is repeating itself. I guess it will also repeat them not winning. That’s sweet that the Doctor still wants her to know that computers are a thing because of Ada. And I appreciate that the show didn’t try to be like “She helped make computers because of the Doctor.” because no, she made them because she was always going to. Oh wow we’re going back to Gallifrey?? We haven’t been in a while. Been wondering if we would.

I didn’t write anything for the last few minutes because I’m just like... HUH.

First of all, I knew the Master did it. Called it.

Second of all. I was like “Oh no. The Doctor just got Gallifrey back, do we HAVE to take it away again? To make her angsty?” Then we heard the Master’s reason for destroying it and I was like ok maybe there’s justification.

Third of all. The Time Lords have always sucked. We’ve known this forever.  The Doctor has said that the Time Lords went wrong at the end of the Time War and that they choose to remember them in a good way and forget the ugly side. So we know the Time Lords suck. That’s not a surprise. What is it that they did that was so bad, the MASTER of all people felt the need to put an end to it? The Master. As in the little boy who was driven crazy because the Time Lords chose to put the Sound of the Drums in his head and use him as a weapon. He didn’t destroy Gallifrey then, so what could be worse than that? Do I even want to know? They’ll tell us, but I don’t know if I want to hear it. We might be going very dark this season...

Fourth of all, yay! They’re asking the Doctor questions and she’s answering! Yay! And Yaz asking “Can we go to your planet?” was the second Martha thing she did.

And fifth, yay! We’re probably getting an overarching theme this season! And maybe the Master isn’t completely evil, since everyone’s so worried about Missy’s redemption! He’s just hurt by what he found, felt he had to destroy Gallifrey, and is still upset about it. When he said the Timeless Child I literally said out loud “OH. OH ok so we’re really doing this then.” because I felt like all the predictions of the Timeless Child being involved were probably right... but not like this.

EPIPHANY. What if he really was just doing all this to get the Doctor’s attention? He wants the Doctor share the burden of the truth, but doesn’t know any other way to get her to listen besides do horrible things. What if he didn’t kill, plot, and plan just for the hell of it and maybe rub Gallifrey in the Doctor’s face, but the ultimate goal was to get that message to the Doctor so the Doctor could find out about Gallifrey.

Honestly I’m concerned about what it is that the Time Lords lied about. What did the Master mean by “who we are as a species” like... I’m scared.

Also halfway through the episode my mom came in (she’s super behind, as in she hasn’t even watched Capaldi’s seasons yet) and she said “You have to stop screaming ‘IT’S A TARDIS IT’S A TARDIS’ of course it’s a TARDIS that’s what she drives.” So apparently my mom heard my freak out over the Master’s TARDIS. She heard me screaming last episode too when I was jumping at the Master reveal.

Anyway. Sorta Blink-esque in that Ryan, Yaz, and Graham being saved is an endless loop if causing itself because of previously planted messages from the Doctor. But also, we got a mini history lesson, which was the point of Doctor Who in the first place. Gallifrey’s gone and apparently Time Lords suck, but what else is new. And we got the Master finding out the effect that race has in certain (or all) time periods. Hopefully the Master’s back soon. We really were spoiled rotten by Season 10 when they gave us Missy in like half of the episodes. I need more Master. Give me more Master.

Day 25 | Yokohama

I have been planning to go to Yokohama ever since the first week I've been in Tokyo.

For some reason, that iconic (for me at least) Ferris wheel from Honey and Clover has always been in my head since 2007. I don't even think it's the one from Yokohama but that started my fascination for Ferris Wheels. I've never even been on a proper one. I think the only one I've been on is the two story high one in Sunway Pyramid. PLEASE DONT LAUGH AT ME!

Been putting it off because I know it requires a full day and I don't get many full days. Because I waste my full days on studying (this is for my parents)! Yay! Plus it's bloody far away. It takes 1.5 hours and FOUR lines to get from the nerimatakanodai station to yokohama. But believe it or not, there is a direct train. It changes automatically. Color me surprised because my station is small, obscure and very far away. It goes from the seibu Ikebukuro line -> Fukutoshin metro -> Tokyo Tokyu metro (passing by Shibuya) and one more which I forgot to get to Montomachi Chuukagai (China town stop). You never know who would google this. Hello to Kyoko's future homestay guests!

Of course, Ferris wheel obsession aside, I was attracted to Yokohama for an entirely different reason.

Pilgrimage no 2!!

For those of you watching Bungou Stray Dogs (probably only two of my friends), you will know that it's set in Yokohama. It's a beautiful seaside town - bad description- one of the oldest and major ports in Japan. It is heavy with infrastructure yet beautiful in its own way. Other people know it as the place where the ramen museum is located. I know it as a port area.

tl;dr: No regrets coming here but might have regretted going to the ramen museum earlier than expected. Covered MOST of the places from BSD.

How did I travel around?

I painstakingly planned out all locations according to a Crunchyroll article screenshots of the real life comparisons with the anime ones. SHOUTOUT TO YI EN BC I couldn't access the website in Japan. Okay, it didn't take that long and it was pretty fun. I ended up walking all over Yokohama though because of bad planning on my part. Also I got distracted by the ramen museum so I ended up missing one hour  of daylight.

For some reason, I stayed on past Yokohama and went all the way to Chinatown, which cost like 210 yen more! My brain thought that it would be the easiest starting point (which it was) so I went there. It was dead empty on a 9:30AM Wednesday morning, no doubt. Shops were opening slowly but pretty much no sign of life. So I decided to stand in the middle of the street to take a photo. TIP: Do not do this. There might be cars.

Unfortunately, I couldn't see many similarities aside from the sign. I might have been at the wrong entrance as there are a number of entrances. The one in the anime has red poles and they have different store fronts surrounding it. Oh well!

Walked in Chinatown for a bit and saw tian hou gong. Pretty Chinese of them to have it right smack in the center of China town, lol! 

After that, I went to the park (you can observe the “logical” sequence)

The view from the deck was so amazing. You can see the Yokohama view and bridge from here. I didnt knew how to take less shitty photos though.

There was a flower garden near by as well with a nice fountain.

This is near the exit of the park where the girl wanted to surrender her crimes to the nearest police station from the anime.

Motomachi shopping street. This street looks quite fancy with all the fancy shops along the street. Even the roads look like they are right out from an anime. But you can see its very European-esque.

After that, I walked past this doll museum so I just went in randomly. It was 400 yen and the dolls were pretty creepy looking. The museum was designed like a huge, pink dollhouse!

Historical japanese dolls where they displayed dolls according to their geographical regions of Japan. They had international dolls too. The Malaysian one was in some traditional Malay outfit lol.

After that, I walked along the pier to get to the bay area where the ferris wheel and brickhouse was located.

Inside the brickhouse place was a shopping area! One of the shops that was interesting was this fake food shop. Look at the toasts!!! 

I bought a piece of salmon! It found its permanent spot on my bag pack now hehe.

Yokohama’s Customs (Queens tower)

Okay. I walked past this building before heading to the ramen museum so the sequence is a little messed up. Honestly, I shouldnt have went to the Ramen Museum if I wanted to take good photos in the day but I still went anyway! 

The Ramen Museum near the Ferris Wheel (apparently there’s a nicer and larger one at Shin Yokohama which i HIGHLY regret not going to because of time constraint - I really should have skipped dinner that night) was pretty good, but I wouldnt waste my time if i were you and just go to the one at Shin Yokohama. At the very least, I got to customized my own Ramen cup and learnt a little about the Ramen history! Nissin is the main brand if you wondering. I never knew it was Japanese from the packaging when I used to see it at the local Asian grocer.

After this experience, I think I’m a Nissin convert now. (They actually have laksa flavours at Hometown (Elizabeth Street near my Melb apartment)

The Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall.

I know this is a horrible photo but all my other photos could barely be seen due to the direction of the sun!! I took this photo around 4pm and the sun was so setting so quickly. This was when I realized I should have planned my whole pilgrimage better. Wasted too much time at the Ramen Museum.

Yokohamabashi Shopping District.

I remember the moment when I finally reached this street - it was such a long day and it was getting so dark at merely 5:30 (fuck winter, seriously), and I felt so relieved that I found most of the places featured on Crunchyroll! Sadly, I didnt get to find the bridge shot and the pier, plus the big longkang featured in episode 1. But I’m happy enough.

It’s pretty old in comparison to the Motomachi shopping street and it is mainly selling food stuff - its like a market!

After that, I took the train home. I was lucky enough to only switch twice tbh! I was on the same train that automatically switched lines 4 times (i love Japan for almost 30 stops. The train ride was like 90 minutes long and I even made it back for dinner.

Yokohama is seriously one of the nicest, prettiest places in the world. I think I just personally love ports (Docklands, Yokohama, Port Klang (lol jk)) because of that fantastic ocean view in contrast with the city skyline.

If you have the chance, go to Yokohama or Kanagawa or just fucking both bc the views are definitely worth. Pictures cannot describe the feeling that you will experience. I promise that it will be worth it.

One day, I’m going back to Yokohama to complete my pilgrimage.
