Yeah, even though Twitter is basically a giant hellscape right now, I'd say you might as well go for it my dude! There's not a lot to lose tbh--

It's definitely better than Instagram for artists and allows you more control over who sees and interacts with your art when you go private. There's also Twitter circle where you can pick specifically who you want to see your more private posts (like a close friends/mutuals list of sorts!)

Going private for it can also help you weed out possible bots/antis/minors/bait/what have you when you're accepting followers!

I don't post my own art on twitter though so take my advice with a grain of salt! (I just know and follow a lot of twitter artists lol) Hope this helped you anyway!! <3
