For all intents, I did the hell heist as the last-last quest before the finale (So as to be fully prepared and supportive "finishing" babe's personal quest) AND BECAUSE OF THIS, I was tired. Greygold was tired. I was ready to beat the game. I was rushing. STEALING FROM RAPHAEL WAS STRESSING ME OUT. and I dared not go back. So even though Greygold did not want to go through with Haarlep's "game", I couldn't have picked a worse time to forget about their "always another way" philosophy Poor Half-orc was so determined not to fail Lae'zel's personal quest that, for once, ignored companion disapproval. And apparently, with Lae'zel not disapproving nakey Greygy, it looked like Babe was willing to retrieve that hammer no matter the cost either! Until Haarlep said they wanted nakey Greygy to play a "game" with them.

Babe disapproved that time. Babe, who's been cranky all this time, thought not even this way was worth getting the hammer for. Babe still cared about what happened to Greygold.

So by the gods, I happily reloaded and thankfully found a different way, HUAH. Thank you, Babe. Found out later that apparently going the Haarlep way would've suuuuucked. Saved by the babe. Thus I concluded why Babe was so cranky and can't kiss to save her life (I'm looking at you patch 6). And why Greygold's never had another hrm- pleasant conversation with Emps since the last time.

I discovered something huge about Rolan and Cal and Lia!

I hope I am the only one who didn't realise this until now but Cal and Lia are NOT Rolan's actual siblings.

I killed them just to use speak with the dead spell on them and Rolan's corpse said he has no family. He said only Cal and Lia are brother and sister and "Cal says I am family, but..." and the way he said it is so sad.

Ok, a few things:

1. Thank you for saying something about Jimin's collab with Kodak. For DECADES Black women have been asking women of other races to show up for them, especially when they show up for us. Female kpop fans love to pat themselves on the backs for being "enlightened" and are quick to stand up against any anti-Asian racism. But historically when Black women have asked kpop fans for solidarity, or criticise a kpop idol for anti-Black behavior there is the sound of crickets from kpop fans, or what-aboutism, or outright vicious attacks on these women. All of which tells me that these folks should probably stop talking about what fabulous allies they are in the fight against racism because their actions put the lie to their words.

Kodak has very publicly and disgustingly raped and abused Black women AND girls for years. So I'm very glad that somebody in the general K-pop and BTS specific fan bases is saying something. I know that isn't easy sometimes in a fanbase that can rabidly attack internal critique.

2. For the anon who accused you of Islamaphobia... I'm seeing red. Labour Rights organizations all over the WORLD decried and protested that World Cup en masse. Human rights organizations protested that World Cup en masse. Queer rights organizations protested that World Cup en masse. And they had very good reasons to do so.

Let's just focus on the whole queer rights thing as this fanbase loves to consume fics about the BTS members having sex with each other. Being queer is illegal in Qatar with a prison sentence of up to 5 years in jail (and Qatari prisons are no fucking joke) and a heavy fine. The death penalty can be used to punish them vis a vis their legal code. However, while there are no verified uses of the death penalty being used in this manner there, there are verified accounts of torture being applied to queer prisoners in the Qatari prison system just for being queer. There are also verified reports of extrajudicial killings of queer Qatari people. For heaven's sake queer Qatari people were making videos BEGGING people to not support that World Cup.

That's not Islamaphobic, that's demanding human rights abuses stop.

As a bisexual woman, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for saying something about JK going there and being critical of that choice. Lot's of folks want to sexualize my community and proclaim themselves allies, but when real action or taking a stand is needed, they abandon us. So thank you. It’s been a hot minute since I read the S&S chapters so forgive me if I’m getting some details wrong but I believe there’s a way to look at the S&S fight without labeling it as an unnecessary fight

It’s about how S&S was inspired by All Might, much like Izuku. However, S&S is a kind of justice that’s ignorant, that uses excessive force to win a fight, that believes what she is doing is in the best of interests but refuses to see it any other way

It’s like. It’s a fight with only one ending, between two/three stubborn enemies

One who believes what she is doing is the only right way but actively goes out of her way to kill the enemy no matter what, one who will stop at nothing to get whatever he wants and controls his victim’s mind and body (takes away his autonomy to the point where they aren’t “separate people” but instead “one person”), and one who is a victim in all of this but wholeheartedly believes he was always bad and so has his heart set on destruction despite the fact that, deep down, he wants to be saved

It’s sad because if S&S had taken All Might’s influence and HADN’T turned it into a whole Strength thing, if she was someone like Izuku who saw All Might’s influence and learned that incredible power should be used to save, not to kill, then she probably could have stopped TomurAFO, captured him and taken him to All Might or something

I believe the point of S&S, one of the points at least, is that if you solely view All Might’s existence as a power fantasy, then you’re getting nowhere and completely missing what it means to be a hero

Look at it this way - S&S’ role in the manga was just to rule out one route the story could have taken

Anybody looking at TomurAFO and thinking “If All Might were in his prime form, HE could have taken him out and the world would be saved!” is then faced with a character who was inspired a lot by All Might and gives off the impression that they can do anything (COUGH confident intimidating appearance COUGH a quirk that allows the user incredible power COUGH)

She then serves her purpose by cutting AFO’s quirks down by half, showing that not everybody inspired by All Might does the right thing and shows the audience that Tomura immediately thought about Izuku when “someone who will inherit the will of heroism” is mentioned

Yes, while someone like All Might may be able to go head to head with TomurAFO and do some real damage, the point ISN’T that TomurAFO needs to be defeated and killed

The point is that TomurAFO is a fusion of an abuser and his victim, and anybody who NEEDS help should be given that help no matter what

S&S, someone similar to All Might who COULD have killed TomurAFO and prevented destruction, someone who saw his death as the only way to end this, is taken out of the running

Enter: Izuku Midoriya

You know, the one Tenko thought of at the mention “inheriting the will of heroism”

Idk I just. I can’t see the S&S chapters as pointless. They serve their purpose by letting the reader know that force and death is not the way out of this, that it’s not the story this manga is trying to tell

Okay actually my panic room setup is kind of awesome. There’s maybe an inch of clearance between the cupboards and the wall where my mattress is and it’s very cozy. The only problem now is that it’s very dark and I am afraid of the dark
