Historic Paranthe Wali Gali became a renowned gourmet location after its parantha shops opened up there in the 1870s. A few of them still exist, including Pandit Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan (1872), Pandit Kanhaiya Lal & Durga Prasad's Parantha Shop (1875), and Pandit Babu Ram Devi Dayal's (1886). Address: Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. Opening Hours: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Cost: Around 150 rupees for two people. Stuffed aloo (potato) parantha, gobi (cauliflower) parantha, and matar (peas) parantha are the most popular. Moong Dal Pizza Anyone? Moong Dal Ka Pizza from a small stall at Kotla Road near ITO. You can find him opposite to Gandharva Vidyalaya from 4PM - 9PM daily. After a long day working at a bank in ITO, Kapil Madan inspired my Narendra Modi’s “Made in India” slogan got his own version of Indian Pizza. The moong dal chilla is turned into a fluffy waffle like, which is cut from between and stuffed with masala mix of onion, tomato and cheese. Later soaked with butter and served with delicious homemade tamarind and green chutney. From the past 2 years, kapil has been selling moong dal ka pizza from a table and sells 40-50 pizzas a day. The moong dal pizza that he sells has only one thing in common with the pizza - its shape.
