London recap
Louis showed up wearing a Saul Nash rib tank top paired with Saul Nash trackpants
Setlist had 22 songs
Special intro saying “London sold out! Thank you!”
Louis’ 1st speech: “I have been so overcome with emotion coming out here tonight. I don’t remember ever feeling like this on stage. Look at what we’ve fucking done! Look at what we’ve done! I can’t really put my emotions into words right now, I feel very, very overwhelmed, I feel very, very proud of what we’ve achieved together, together. I might even have a little cry tonight, who knows! Alright then, fucking ‘ell, we’re here, we’re here.”
Louis’ 2nd speech: “Oh, this is fucking crazy. This is crazy. I’m trying to find the right words, but honestly? I’m just… in awe of what we’ve fucking created. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don’t really have any other words other than thank you very much. This is… No, let me try [find the words]. I should try harder, this is my time at The O2, I’ll give it a go. This is… It felt like it took me— let me do it like last time [squats] It felt like it took me a long time to get here, a long time to get here. And even when I dreamt – and I mean this wholeheartedly – even when I dreamt of what touring might look like, never in a million fucking years did I think I’d play here. Never, never. I spent like the first 3 or 4 songs of this gig like– I’m always like this, and it’s fucking annoying; after every lyric, every moment, I’m cross referencing in my head ‘how was that?’ FUCK THAT! FUCK THAT! I hope you all feel as proud as I do on this stage tonight. Alright, before I fucking choke up, alright…”
Louis appreciating his band:  “London O2, let’s take a picture! [gets the band around him] But before we do, I do wanna take this special opportunity– [looks at his band who starts moving away] no no no, stay where you stood! I’ve spent the last two years or so touring with the most incredible band in the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you boys. I fucking love you, tonight’s for us. Give it up for my fucking incredible band!”
Louis’ last speech: “Alright, last thing, last soppy thing. I got something on my mind, right. Normally, in this kind of situation for me, this is too much fucking pressure man; O2, sold out?! You lot, unbelievable right. This might be the first time in my career – I might’ve bullshitted in the past right – this might be the first time in my career where I have been under pressure tonight, and I feel fucking great about it. I’ve said it before, but you don’t have that confidence onstage unless you know you’ve got the best fucking fans in the world. I never feel like I can find the words to ever truly thank you, but thank you, thank you, thank you.”

You’re right, you’re right. [Velez] would be a great place to film it. I think there was a bit of talk about that, actually.
- Louis Tomlinson answering a question about FITF World Tour documentary, for Algo De Musica in Buenos Aires [6.4.2024]

I can't sleep because after having (superficially) processed what happened, I can't wrap my head around what did not happen, which is Louis headlining Red Rocks, one of the world's most iconic venue.
I can't stop thinking about that quote about grief being love with nowhere to go, and I'm grieving what we didn't get.... I have been looking forward to this show since it was announced, since I luckily got a ticket in the 3rd row, since I've been lucky to attend some FITWT shows, and I thought wooow Red Rocks is gonna blow everyone's mind... Everyone around me was aware I was travelling to Denver for that show. It meant so much to me.
I got robbed of something that I was supposed to be the pinnacle of my FITFWT experience. I can slowly make peace with that but I'm so upset that Louis got robbed of his experience. This show was obviously meaningful to him - from being mentioned in the IGTV caption, to the show's special poster, to the special merch, the "bucket list show" mentions.... to the fact that up until the last minute there was still a hope that the show would go on. FITFWT deserved this venue, his songs deserved to be played against that beautiful background.
My mind kept going to that footage from LTWT 2020 when he says he can't catch a break. I was standing probably meters away from him and thinking he was probably thinking the same. I could imagine how heartbroken he was - this time with the added weight of fans' safety. I am so upset that this keeps happening to him.
It was also supposed to be a special celebration for louies and I'm sad we got robbed of that communal joy too.
It just feels so very unfair, and there's nothing to do with all these emotions - sadness, anger, disapointment - because it is what it is. It could have been worse and I'm glad no one was seriously injured. But it could have also been the sensational and cathartic experience it was supposed to be.

Louis’ plan on releasing five albums eventually and touring all five is a stated career goal.
Whether he succeeds or not is not guaranteed. But since Louis has mentioned it in interviews many times, this goal isn’t a “fandom head canon” or something we “interpreted.”
[Larries who do not pay attention to Louis’ interviews, listen to his music, or plan to go to his concerts perhaps shouldn’t have an opinion on this.]
On the other hand, Louis has never stated that he plans to “slow down,” “settle down,” or “step back.” Those scenarios are not only head canons, they’re diametrically opposite to what Louis’ actions tell us.
Louis has actually, FACTUALLY, expanded the festival that he curates. The attendance for AFHF2022 is factually higher than AFHF 2021, and Louis has ACTUALLY said he would like to make it bigger next year, eventually over multiple days with camping.
Louis actually, FACTUALLY worked on several projects simultaneously this past year. He had a world tour of 80+ concerts, sold 500k+ tickets worldwide, recorded and mastered an entire album (several versions) while on tour, planned the AFHF 2022 festival, is making a full-length documentary, released multiple Instagram stories, started an official TikTok channel, and planned an international world tour for 2023-24.
In the European and USA legs of FITF World Tour alone, the number of tickets exceeds 500k. That is equal to all of LTWT. Louis has expanded most of the FITFWT venues to arena-size. The tour is starting in five months and will likely continue for a full year. It is very likely that LT3 will be written on tour to be released shortly afterward, with tour to follow.
Louis has articulated multiple times that he wrote FITF “with tour in mind.” His record was written for big, live spaces and performances. He didn’t write it as incidental music for fanfiction, or because he wants to play second banana. Louis didn’t write a 20-song tour album so he could sneak into someone else’s tour, hiding in balconies and backlit doorways.
What Louis has NOT done is talk about wanting to be out of the limelight, wanting to step back for Harry, having any recent contact with Harry Styles at all.
Here’s a message for Larries reading this post. It’s okay not to be a fan of Louis Tomlinson. It’s okay not to know every detail about what he does. It’s okay to prefer Harry and talk mostly about Harry, and be honest that you don’t like Louis or his music. It’s ok just to go to Harry’s concerts and support his career. No one can stop you if you want to read Larry fic in private and enjoy the smut; it’s your freedom. If this is the sort of fandom experience you prefer, you do you.
But it’s not ok to be dishonest, to proselytize to other fans that “none of us know about Louis’ intentions.”
1. Louis has clearly STATED his professional intentions, and 2. Louis continues to rise in his career congruent with his growing confidence and ambition, with transparent actions to match.
I get that Larries would rather talk about a child than about Faith In The Future. We saw Freddie for a total of about 92 minutes this year (including the LA concert). We saw Louis engaged with music for about 275/365 days.
Larries preach that they’re concerned with Louis’ privacy, but they actually don’t engage with his music at all.
We saw that Big Larries don’t plan to go to Louis’ concerts, haven’t bought any physical copies of his album, and according to their Spotify Wrapped, don’t listen to his music more than one pass (if that). And they don’t care who knows. And yes, this has an effect on fandom, because these Tumblr Larries are widely read and quoted everywhere in social media— worldwide.
So what do Larries want from Louis, really?
It seems that they want their head canon to come true. They want Louis to disappear. Completely. So Harry Styles can shine unimpeded.
Same goal as Sony, basically?

“… but it’s almost the way that the intro is for The Greatest, and the band go to stage first and they start the intro and I can hear all that intro in my ears and… it does feel like you’re about to walk out to a boxing fight for sure. It’s got that kind of feeling and I kind of — I’ve said this before — in that moment I don’t really think anything other than what it is I’m about to do. It is mentally demanding what we do do. But the reward, you now, is worth it every single night!” (x)

“…And I fucking love Dublin, you know. I love it. Went out here a couple of nights ago. Met some pretty funny people. Went to that - what's it called? You just had a picture, what's it called? Temple Bar, yeah. Decent place.”
like realistically I know he keeps up with fandom and update accounts but omg when he says or acknowledges stuff like this I’m slightly taken aback
