#183 #GoForAWalk My youngest and I got home after #soccer in the morning. (I was playing and she was #fundraising.) My wife was out with the middle daughter finding an outfit for an event later in the day. (That's another story. My high schooler brought her middle school sister to the event as well. How they managed that, I don't know. It was their little adventure.) Soon after we got home, my two older ones went out and my youngest and I were left at home without a car. We watched YouTube for a little bit, but I grew tired of it and soon told her: Let's go for a walk. She was less than enthused, but then I mentioned, let's get something to eat and she said ok. We started off a bit slow but I wasn't in a rush. I had my phone put away and I was enjoying the cool weather before the rain. I asked a couple of questions that received short answers. I didn't push. Then she started talking about something that was on her mind. I'm glad she did. Her mood improved and we had a wonderful conversation on the way to the eating establishment. I can definitely say I enjoyed the walk and talk. Sometimes that's all you need. A new trailer has been released for Final Portrait, which is set to release March 23, 2018.

FINAL PORTRAIT is the story of the touching and offbeat friendship between American writer and art-lover James Lord and Alberto Giacometti, as seen through Lord’s eyes and revealing unique insight into the beauty, frustration, profundity and sometimes the chaos of the artistic process. Set in 1964, while on a short trip to Paris, Lord is asked by his friend, Giacometti, to sit for a portrait. The process, promises Giacometti, will take only a few days and so Lord agrees — ultimately wondering “how much longer can it go on like this?”
