Do you actually watch barca league games? As someone who watches every single one you would understand how crucial alexia is to the team. Just because results wise barca haven’t dropped says nothing about alexia’s impact. For months we struggled through a lot of games since her injury the team felt disjointed and often struggled a lot. Thankfully we have a lot of exceptional players who make up for the difficulties in the team as a whole with individual moments of brilliance. But that’s what makes alexia so special that she is able to shine above all the other stars and dominate. Beth had a fantastic euros but arguably went missing in the biggest games e.g. against spain and germany. If you really want to base it on the euros performance i would argue keira walsh was a better and more important player but of course just because she doesn’t score goals nobody considers her.

Since you want to be condescending, yes I do in fact watch plenty of Barca, I have actually gone out of my way to be able to see them in person. Hell, I have even met multiple Barca players Alexia included and they were all such sweet and kind women. I'm not going to deny the team struggled, the team also had plenty of major changes going into this new season, along with plenty of the Barca players also having conflict with their federation so Alexia's injury wasn't the only catalyst that could have caused disjointedness. Alexia while yes has an impact I HAVE NEVER DENIED THAT you yourself even state that the team has "a lot of exceptional players" so putting all of Barca's success on Alexia is kind of a slap in the face to all of them.

Beth's Euro performance was in my own opinion great you don't become the first person to win the golden ball and player of the tournament for nothing, I also think she performed well for Arsenal. The logic you used about Barca being disjointed after Alexia's injury can also be used for the struggle that Arsenal is feeling right now that was only exasperated after Viv also got injured.

Keira has had a great performance for club and country, and in fact, if you decided to even look a little further past the posts that include Alexia on my page you would see that I talk about this exact issue. More defensive players who maybe don't score goals a lot don't get the recognition they deserve and it's an insult to the sport as a whole to never even give their success the light of day.

Just because you have some complex about protecting your favorite at all cost doesn't mean I'm an idiot, it doesn't mean I have no clue what I'm talking about and it doesn't mean I don't have a right to my own god damn opinion. People will say I'm being aggressive but honestly the amount of absolutely hate-filled ask I have gotten simply because I don't agree with who won a stupid award is honestly insane and I'm honestly really tired of it.
